Four)

Part Four
(final article in this series).
But what about the Divine Task of Israel? Were they not supposed to become a
nation of Priests and lead the rest of the World in righteousness and holiness
to God's redemption? Were they not charged by the Almighty to enlighten the
nations in order to bring all of them to worship the One and Only God of the Universe,
the God of Israel? Do not the Israelites have a moral obligations to spiritually
transform the rest of the World to attain the Torah requirements to earn
together a right in the World-to-Come?
Yes, yes, and yes! All of this is the task of Israel, her Divine mission. That
is why Israel was chosen by the Almighty!
It is their monumental responsibility and obligation to proclaim the Glory of
the Lord to the ends of the Earth, 'For then will I restore to the people a pure
language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with
one consent' (Zephaniah 3:9).
As preparation to assuming the spiritual leadership of the World, Israel must be
uplifted to the Torah's level of holiness and righteousness and become an
example to the nations. The Messiah, son of David, together with the Sages will
help the Israelites to accomplish this through studying the Torah, obeying God's
Commandments and doing the Mitzvahs [commandments] and good deeds. Israel will
become one people, a united holy nation worshiping God Almighty and righteous in
their obedience of His Holy Laws.
For their devotion, love and righteous conduct in helping the nations to reach
the moral and spiritual standards required for inheritance of the future World,
God will be pleased and will bless them.
'And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the
people; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which
the Lord has blessed' (Isaiah 61:9).
'You are My servant, Israel, in whom I shall be glorified' (Isaiah 49:3).
'Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful
land," says the LORD Almighty (Malachi 3:12).
Yes, the nations indeed will acknowledge Israel as the Chosen People of God, as
His special treasure, as a nation of priests and a light to the World. They will
see the holiness and righteousness of this nation when the Israelites will
literally go out to the World to bring to the inhabitants of the earth, their
former enemies and bloody persecutors, the love and knowledge of God Almighty
and His future Kingdom.
'And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S
house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted
above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it' (Isaiah 2:2).
For right faith and true religion the heathen nations will turn to Israelites,
who will teach the World that they are all the children of God, His sons and
daughters, created in His own image, carriers of His Divine attributes and His
immortal soul.
'I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High' (Psalm 82:6).
They will let all the nations know that there is only one God of the Universe,
the Almighty God of Israel and there is none beside Him.
'There is no other God ' there never has been, and there never will be. I, even
I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Savior. From eternity to eternity I am
God. I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King' (Isaiah
43:10, 11, 15)
The people of the World will learn that this World is a temporal place for
Humanity; that this World eventually will be destroyed by God; that the people
are destined to return to their permanent home, which is in Heaven, the
wonderful World-to-Come, where they will be in the likeness of God and see Him
face to face in His spiritual Kingdom surrounding, The Divine Glory of Almighty
God.
In the Messianic Era the Israelites under the leadership of their King, the
Messiah, son of David, will become 'a Covenant for the Gentiles', and bring God's
salvation to the World.
'This is what the LORD Almighty says: "In those days ten men from all languages
and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, 'Let
us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.' (Zechariah 8:23).
'Ten men' in this verse symbolically means all the nations of the World who will
eagerly seek to learn and share the religious privileges of the Israelites. They
will come from all the ends of the earth; they will fall to their knees in front
of the Israelites, disgraced and humiliated all together, and in their
supplication proclaim, 'Surely God is in thee; and there is none else beside God
of Israel!' (Isaiah 45:14-16).
Of the same speaks the Prophet Isaiah 60:14,
'The sons of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you
will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the LORD, Zion of the
Holy One of Israel'.
For the nation of Israel it is not honor and the praise of the peoples of the
World that they will have been striving for.
'I will make you to be a Covenant of peoples and a Light for the Gentiles, that
you will bring My Salvation to the ends of the earth' (Isaiah 49:6).
It is not an exaggeration to say that Israel and their King the Messiah, son of
David, will save the ungodly World.
'They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will
be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea' (Isaiah 11:9).
Through their acts of righteousness and holiness the Israelites will transform
the World from being violently sinful and idolatrous to the highest level of
spirituality and belief in the One God of Israel. They will worship and serve
the Creator with 'purified lips and hearts', unanimously, with 'one consent'
(Zephaniah 3:9).
'And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain
of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways,
and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem' (Isaiah2:3).
Israel will accomplish their Divine mission! God says of Israel:
'I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all
peoples on earth will be blessed through you" (Genesis 12:31). This ancient
prophecy will find its complete fulfillment only in the Messianic Time!
Because of the Israelites and through them, the Almighty will bless all the
people of the Earth.
All, this will be in accordance with the plan of God Almighty.
'Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed
into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil'
(Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
All the above Scriptural passages will have been fulfilled only in the 'latter
years', 'the end of days', 'the end time'. All these expressions invariably
point to the Messianic Era.
