Re DNA Test Results: Yair Davidiy
http://www.britam.org/Questions/YairDNA.html
Dear Yair,
Sorry to hear about your accident, i hope you are doing better.
My family have been Bloomer for about 300 years when my ancestor James Alexander added Bloomer to his name as his mother was Abigail Bloomer remarried to her cousin John Bloomer. So my y-dna is from the Alexander family of Scotland descended from the Earl of Stirling. The Alexanders descend from the old Athol or Dunkeld dynasty of Scotland which in turn is descended from the Irish kings of Mide and Uisnech back to Niall Mor of the Nine Hostages. ... I believe that the Davidic dna is R1b-L21 of which R1b-M222 is a branch. The Stuart and Oldenburg Royal families have been tested and have R1b-L21. I am on the Alexander dna project group and my group of matches are called the Campbelltown Scotland group. i thus suspect that your ancestry connects with mine back in Scotland about 400-600 years ago. i suspect that your male ancestor was an Alexander. The other name that I have alot of matches with is O'Reilly, Riley, Raley, etc. It would seem that they descend from my ancestors brother John alexander who took his mothers name O'Reilly and left alot of descendants in Ireland and America. He became Count Alejandro Reilly of Spain. He lived in the 1700's. It is all very fascinating.
cheers Athol
