There are different subclades of Haplogroup I.
The type that is dominant in northern Europe are different from those in the

I and J are two versions of the same group.
The proportion of I in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England, Iceland, Finland
parallels the proportion of J amongst Jews.
There may or may not be significance in this parallelism.
The Brit-Am belief that certain populations in the north are descended from
Israel from a DNA point of view is seen to be more feasible when the identity
between I and J is taken into account.
