William Hugh Russell-Davis used the name Hugh Davis for most of his life.
He was born in Wales, grew up in Wales and England, served in the British Royal
Air Force
and escaped death on numerous occasions. In India he was a cypher expert and
courier for the RAF
during World War -2. This book tells of his childhood, early youth, and
experiences in India.
The work includes insights and interesting anecdotes, anthropological and
philosophical observations,
and autobiographical details of an adventurous nature.
British civilization is compared to that of other nations especially India.
The sexual mania resulting from matriarchal rule amongst Indian Native Tribes is
described in detail.
We see that people are basically the same everywhere while remaining
fundamentally different.
There is much to learn from this work.
