C. CHARACTERISTICS
16. Cyrus: Messiah son of Joseph: Isaiah
44:28.
The term Cyrus in addition to referring to the Persian monarch of that
name also according to Commentaries referred to Ephraim and Joseph especially as
lead by the Messiah son of Joseph.
28 Who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd,
And he shall perform all My pleasure,
Saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built,
And to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid [Isaiah 44:28].
1 Thus says the LORD to His anointed,
To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held
To subdue nations before him
And loose the armor of kings,
To open before him the double doors,
So that the gates will not be shut:

Cyrus in future prophecies represents the task of the Messiah son of Joseph.
President Truman supported the establishment of the State of Israel and
identified himself with Cyrus. He represented the forces of Joseph in the End
Times.

explained in part by the Commentary of Rabbi Shimshon Raphael Hirsch) implies
responsible representation.
