The Big Question: Are They Coming Back?
MK Aryeh Eldad commented yesterday that the massive 'exodus' of Palestinians
into Egypt presents the case for voluntary relocation - an interesting point!
This is an option that has been repeatedly presented by Zionist Israeli
spokesmen.
By today's figures, half a million Palestinians made their way into Egypt
yesterday, many of them carrying bulging suitcases and oversized tote bags
bulging with personal effects. How many of them have slipped into Egypt to
stay? Interesting question.
A good number were seen returning to Gaza, laden down with their shopping, but a
significant number have remained in Egypt, with many traveling south to Egyptian
population centers, raising concern in the Egyptian press of a massive wave of
Gazan immigration.
