1. Brit-Am Will Reply to Critics
Brit-Am will reply to ALL critics of Brit-Am and Brit-Am beliefs.
Brit-Am prefers to avoid replying to criticism of other groups even when those groups share
some of their beliefs with us and some of the criticism may (by extension) be applied to us.
Our recent article,

"Answer to an Anti-Identity Polemic"

http://www.britam.org/Polemic.html
should be considered an exception.
In this article we took criticisms directed against an American offshoot ("Anglo-Israel"?)
of British-Israel and where the criticisms apply to beliefs of Brit-Am we answer them.
We would rather in the future avoid such confrontations.
They are superfluous and may harm us.
Any association even the most circuitous with negative organizations is liable to be exploited by enemies and critics
of ours who (unbelievable,  I know. My mother would be shocked!) actually exist.
On the other hand we are always open to answer direct questions concerning Brit-Am belief.
We are also at present prepared to answer most (but not all) questions relating to the Bible in general, even without
relationship to Brit-Am, through our BAMBINO postings.
See:

BAMBINO (BRIT-AM BIBLICAL ISRAEL NEWS ONLINE)

In addition, if any of our readers are associated with or know of entities that are against Brit-Am
please challenge them to enunciate whatever they have against us. WE WILL REPLY.

2. Question on Prophecy and the Destruction of the Second Temple
Question:

Thanks in advance Yair. Why was Judah dispersed in 70 CE? what exactly was their sin? and where specifically in scripture is this event Prophesied ? Thank you.

================================================

Answer:
We are not necessarily the right people to answer such a question but here goes:

Judah was dispersed in 70 CE according to the Sages due to failings in social conduct.
Apart from that, there was also a certain need for Judah to be exiled as explained
in our book, "Role to Rule"
http://www.britam.org/Role.html

The destruction of the Second Temple was prophesied throughout the prophets.
Anywhere in Prophecy where condemnation is mentioned against Edom then the primary meaning
refers to the destruction of the Second Temple by Rome and the treatment of the Jews afterwards
by the inheritors of Rome.
The Book of Lamentations was written by Jeremiah.
The book describes both the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians and the later destruction
of Second Temple by Rome. There were was a contingent from Edom (the Temennu) in Babylon itself
and in Scripture the terms Babylon and Edom often overlap. We aslo find the Sages identifying Rome with
Babylon. Prophecies against Babylon and Edom therefore in some cases can refer to the destruction of
the Second Temple.
Nachmanides (Ramban) in "Sefer HaGeulah" (Book of Redemption) interprets verses in the Book of Daniel
as predicting the destruction of the Second Temple.
[Daniel 9:24] SEVENTY WEEKS ARE DETERMINED UPON THY PEOPLE AND UPON THY HOLY CITY, TO FINISH THE TRANSGRESSION, AND TO MAKE AN END OF SINS, AND TO MAKE RECONCILIATION FOR INIQUITY, AND TO BRING IN EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND TO SEAL UP THE VISION AND PROPHECY, AND TO ANOINT THE MOST HOLY.
A discussion of the said passage would involve a whole consideration
of Biblical versus Conventional Chronology.
We began a Brit-Am Commentary to Daniel
http://britam.org/Daniel/daniel9.html
We did not complete this Commentary though we may do so in the future.
Even concerning what we did complete you will find we "skipped" over certain difficult sections.
Nachmanides says that the expression,
"THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME SHALL DESTROY THE CITY AND THE SANCTUARY"
(Daniel 9:26) refers to Titus who with Vespasian lead the Roman forces against Jerusalem.

Nachmanides also interprets certain verses in Deuteronomy as referring to the destruction of the Second Temple.
