Quinn and Moore went on a pilgrimage to places connected with old traditions of
brewing. They apprenticed themselves to hobby brewers in the Orkney Islands. In
Belgium and Bavaria they learned to brew with hot stones. In Barcelona, they
visited a conference on prehistoric brewing, and they traced the roots of beer
culture in the Middle East.

############################# 2. Robert Brenner: Many of us ARE
LISTENING RE: Response re Why Not Listening?
Dear Yair,
I wrote this to let you know that many, many of us ARE LISTENING. I've been
reading your Brit-Am messages and Biblical interpretations with great
interest for several years now (in fact many years), and I look forward to
each of your emails. I have also purchased your books and read them with
interest.
I am one of those Christians referred to by some of those who responded in
your last posting. In fact, I am a Lutheran in America. And in San Diego to
as well. I am also a retired military officer and retired engineer, so I
have an inquisitive mind. I don't refute or disregard what you and others
say because we are all trying to find the right answer to life and living.
When I attend church services, I wear a lapel pin that display an American
flag with a flag of Israel. And when asked, I explain that I wear this
because in the end time America and Israel will be standing shoulder to
shoulder as He defeats all of our enemies. I intend to be loyal to Israel
all the way.
I have consistently related quite well with Israelites/Jews and admire the
Jewish for their faith (at least those who are following your teachings).
And I learn from each Israelite I meet. Mostly I learn from your writings. I
particularly like how you bring everything in life back to what is written
in the Bible. And I read your Bible interpretations with insatiable
curiosity. I too, want to know the truth.
So don't lose heart. We out here are listening. We are reading. And we are
learning. Thanks to you and your dedication.
Respectfully,
Robert Brenner
San Diego

Britain and Israel
Map Taken from
"The Rise of Bronze Age Society. Travels, Transmissions and Transformation" by Kristian Kristiansen and Thomas B. Larsson, Cambridge, 2005,
p.211
The map illustrates links in general between Bronze Age Middle East and Europe.
Note especially (maybe a little difficult to perceive on the reproduction below)
the presence of "Arreton blades and related pieces" as well as
"Golden twisted earings" in the area of Israel, Syria, and Cyprus
as well as in Britanny (Northwest France), Britain, and Ireland
and apparently nowhere else.
