1. Question on Possible Judah-Joseph
Fiction
From: ROB SAUTON FLEET
Subject: Dear Mr Davidi
I have a couple of questions and some observations. I'm not sure how to ask
these questions without being abrasive, or at least somewhat offensive to
someone or other, but here goes, I have noticed an antagonism towards Judah from
those who feel they are Joseph concerning certain biblical rights and duties. Do
you think this could be an instinctive, inner feeling dating back to the days of
Joseph and His brothers?
I have also noticed an abandonment of Joseph's tomb by the government of Israel
deeming it too costly to defend, and I do realize there was an effort made by
religious and a Yeshiva established there at one time, but could this antagonism
go both ways?
I was reading in the Daniel section of your site concerning Guardian Angels and
their roles in nations. I understood this to imply Michael the Archangel stands
guard over Joseph-Ephraim-Menassah,? while God Himself watches over the State of
Israel. When peoples from other nation's immigrate to a Brit Am nation, do they
also bring representatives of their nations Guardian Angel , and could this be
the cause of a lot of social conflict we see when these peoples try to dominate
Joseph and detain/divert Him from his God mandated task ?
have you done any more works concerning this subject?
And lastly, I perused the Dolmen's section and found it to be very interesting
as I had watched a program on Ireland, and they had shown an ancient rock
structure in the countryside that to me, looked very much similar to the
structures from Jordan. I was blown away by this.
Thank you for these excellent articles, and hard work, Bob

Brit-Am Attempted Answers:
Why some Ephraimites sometimes seem unnecessarily critical of Judah is
for them to answer.
Most are not like that.
The Tomb of Joseph is a problematic point.
[Joshua 24:32] AND THE BONES OF JOSEPH, WHICH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL
BROUGHT UP OUT OF EGYPT, BURIED THEY IN SHECHEM, IN A PARCEL OF GROUND
WHICH JACOB BOUGHT OF THE SONS OF HAMOR THE FATHER OF SHECHEM FOR AN
HUNDRED PIECES OF SILVER: AND IT BECAME THE INHERITANCE OF THE CHILDREN OF
JOSEPH.
NO PART OF THE LAND WHATSOEVER should be given up to anybody
especially not to Arabs. Joseph was indeed buried in Schechem but to my mind
it is doubtful that the building referred to as
the Tomb of Joseph really is that.
The Tomb of Joseph was abandoned in October 2000 to the Arabs by
General Mofaz who was reluctant to use force against them
at that point.

The following extract from an Arutz-7 article sums up what happened:

Government Destroys Synagogue Next to Joseph's Tomb

But Jewish access to the tomb was blasted away by PLO terrorists
in October 2000, a scant few days after the start of the Oslo War.
Israel Border Police officers spent days fending off terrorist attempts to
capture and destroy the tomb. Within a week, the government of then-Prime
Minister Ehud Barak, currently Israel's Defense Minister, caved in and ordered
IDF troops to abandon the site.
Another Joseph was also abandoned that day in 2000: a Druze Border Policeman
named Madhat Yusuf (Joseph, in Arabic) was left to bleed to death as soldiers
waited for the order to rescue him. Instead of sending in troops to rescue the
bleeding soldier, then IDF Chief of Staff Shaul Mofaz negotiated with the PLO
for five hours to try and coordinate with the Arabs the evacuation of the
Israeli soldier, but by then it was too late. The government later told
journalists the talks were necessary in order to avoid the risk of killing PA
civilians.
The PA promise to preserve Joseph's Tomb and allow Jewish access was violated
within two hours after Yusuf's body was carried away. A flood of PA Arabs
entered the compound and razed the synagogue to the ground, burning furniture
and holy books as the PA policemen who had vowed to protect the site stood idly
by.
Two days later, the dome of the tomb itself was painted "evil eye green" as some
people refer to the color, which in Arabic tradition wards off the evil eye.
Bulldozers cleared away the remnants of the pogrom that had taken place there,
transforming the holy Jewish monument into a Muslim religious site.

This abandonment had little to do with the figure of Joseph per se.
Some types in Israel would also give up the Western Wall in Jerusalem if they
could
and Barak (who was Prime Minister at the time and at present is Foreign
Minister) once appears to have suggested as much.
I do not think anti-Joseph feeling has anything to do with it but rather
contempt for Biblical values
and the Jewish Religion in general.
Other factors include fear of US and world reaction and a misplaced desire to
avoid conflict.
Concerning Guardian Angles etc you referred to our article in the Brit-Am
Commentary to Daniel.
"Michael: Guardian-Angel
of Israel.
Even Most of the Angels Are Against Us!"

Apart from this article we have not written anything else on the subject.
Concerning relative degrees of Providence etc
we cannot answer but incline to feel that anyone in the Land of Israel
is closer to the Almighty than otherwise,
A LAND WHICH THE LORD THY GOD CARETH FOR: THE EYES OF THE LORD THY GOD ARE
ALWAYS UPON IT, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE YEAR
[Deuteronomy 11:12] .

Saemundsson:
More on Iceland and Benjamin
Shalom Yair Davidy,
I have a passionate interest in Icelandic history and roots of the Icelanders.
I was during the week reading a very long essay from 1960 about it, and then the
author meant that the Icelanders were more Irish than Norwegian because the
majority have bloodgroup O.
Recent research on the Y- DNA shows that the majority of the Icelandic men came
from the South and West regions of Norway but more of the woman seems from the
British islands but not enough to explain the high % of the O group that is also
quite common in Ireland.
Nowadays we know that the O trait follows ethnic groups that are small and
isolated like the Basques in Spain and the Greenlanders.
It is very high in the ethnic Greenlanders and has been explained as a survival
trait for very small and inbreed population.
Therefore the O group in the Icelanders is according to my opinion a survival
selection of ethnic groups that are small and isolated. In 1784 we went in
number to under 40.000, But if we also look on the fact that the handful of
chieftain families that settled down here originally had been breeding with each
other for a long time before. Then we start to get the point. We can also add
that maybe the tribe of Benjamin had a higher % of O in their tribes than the
other tribes of Israel. They got as it stands in the Book of books, the first
Holocaust by their brethren and came down to 600 men.
That I will point out
The haplotypes can be extremely helpful. But then it has to be a haploid that is
only known by colourproofed Jewish men.
Your sincerely
Ingileif

#1. "How much will it cost the average Ephraimite to live in the land of
Israel?"
Kathylou Mcauley made a quick judgement when she made the comment that Angus
Wooten in repenting of pagan practices was giving up [the Christian Messiah] as
the Messiah. That is the farthest from the truth. There are many websites that
one can do reasearch on their own, that go into the history of paganism within
Christianity dating back to Constantine. That is what the whole Messianic
Movement is all about.....the return to Torah and away from the Greek. Also,
anyone who would like to explore any of the beliefs of Angus Wooten can go to
http://www.messianicisrael.com/
================================================
Brit-Am Reply: We did not
understand the letter by Kathylou to say that Angus had changed his beliefs.
Whatever the case as we mentioned there this is not a matter for the Brit-Am
list and nothing to do with us.

4. Captain Ian McRae: Navigating The
Volga
Hello Yair,
Interesting piece in Brit-Am Now 1110, about the possibility of Odin and the
Aesir coming from the Caspian Sea to Scandinavia via the River Volga.
There are some who might think this route is not navigable, but I can tell you
that a fairly large ship recently did the voyage in the opposite direction.
The ship is the "Islay", named after a Scottish island, and operated by a
company called BUE Marine. The ship was built in Scotland to work on a contract
in Azerbaijan. The problem was how to get it there. She went via the Volga,
and had only two problems which had to be overcome. First, she was too tall to
pass under some bridges, so she had to have the wheelhouse removed and placed on
her deck to get under them. The wheelhouse was replaced at the end of the
journey. Second, she was a little too deep to negotiate some sections, so air
filled sponsons were fitted to raise her draught up a little. That a ship of
this size (Working draught 6.8 metres) could get to the Caspian Sea by this
route proves that the much smaller boats of Odin would have no difficulty.
The "Islay" is a big powerful ship, and details of her can be seen here:
http://www.buemarine.com/search_result/profile.jsp?id=58&type=21
I know about this as I was offered command of the ship a couple of years ago, so
researched it. I declined the offer as I didn't really want to work in
Azerbaijan.
Her sister ship, the "Jura", also went out to the Caspian Sea from Scotland, but
she took a different route, I believe via the Mediterranean and Black Seas,
which is another route some of the tribes would have used to reach northern
Europe.
Shalom,
Ian

Gad: Ephraim should get busy being Ephraim
Re: Brit-Am Now no. 1116
Shalom all,
I agree with Yair that Judah is Judah and Ephraim is Ephraim. So whatever chasm
there is between the two houses, or to whatever degree both houses need to
repent, it is not for Ephraim to yammer at Judah for acceptance, or worse to try
and convert Judah to Ephraim's own version of idolatry. So Ephraim should get
busy being Ephraim and conveying the truth of Ehphraim's identity to other
Ephraimites. If one Jew (Yair) wants to stick his neck out for Joseph's sake, so
be it. But it is not for Joseph to ask the rest of Judah to fall in line. I
trust that there are at least a few out there who understand that.
