1. Steve B. Letter in Support of Brit-Am
...I support these holy and unique teachings. Please never stop these powerful studies.

2. Answer to Question Concerning the Future Settlement of Members of the Lost Tribes in Israel
To Steve B
You asked concerning practical preparations for the settlement of members of the Lost Ten Tribes in Israel at the present time. At the moment nothing is being done in this direction as far as I know but I believe that in the future it will be.
The impression from Scripture is that this process will begin before the Time of the Moshiach but in the Era leading up to it.

3. Steven Pursely: "The Khazars" and increased interest in general
Yair Shalom,
I have just finished reading "The Khazars, Tribe 13", and it is excellent. http://www.britam.org/Khazarbook.html
As with all Brit-Am publications it was very informative, timely, and quite interesting in general.
Within my own sphere of contact, it seems that the subject of the 'Lost Tribes" is now met with a greater degree of interest than five years ago.
I believe this trend will increase with the progression of time. To me, at least, this validates the importance and continuation of the Brit-Am message.

3. Answer to Critic of "The Khazars. Tribe 13" who evidently has not yet read it!

 Dear Yair Davidy

to identify the Khazars as Tribe 13 of the Hebrew Nation is to deny the Jews of Israel their homeland - this theory also denies the Jews of their ancestors as the descendants of ancient Jews, hence the modern Jews are not Jews but descendants of Indo-Europeans, aka Aryans the Khazars were a tribe of the Turks who split from the main body of Turks and founded their own state, and later adopted Judaism - i have their genealogy, and there is no connection between the two except for religion - what are you trying to do - rob the Jews of their ancient homeland in Israel, that is the logical outcome to make the Khazars Tribe # 13

David Hughes

Brit-Am Reply:
You are judging our work without reading it.
"The Khazars. Tribe 13" http://www.britam.org/Khazarbook.html
does not say that all Jews are descended from the Khazars but rather a small section of them.
It also says that the Khazars were basically a mixture of Jews from Judah along with members of the Lost Ten Tribes i.e. fellow Israelites.
There is nothing "Indo-European", "Aryan", or "Turkish" about this.
I do not know what "geneaology" you have.
In writing "The Khazars. Tribes 13" we consulted all known records and academic reports that were available.
There is no evidence that is substantial that can prove they were not Israelites. They and their neighbors (on the whole) also said they were Israelites and referred to them as Jews, Israelites, or Hebrews.
I fail to say how our work could be construed as liable to "rob the Jews of their ancient homeland in Israel".
This is definitely NOT
"the logical outcome to make [of?] the Khazars Tribe # 13".
I think you are confusing us with some kind of Identity Movement or transferring impressions you received from anti-Jewish writings to us.
This is unjustifiable and unjust to us.
If you cannot read our book for reasons of your own at the least please look at the articles and summaries concerning the Khazars that we have on our web-site.

4. Christopher Bilardi: Pennsylvania "Dutch" (German) and Hebrew culture

Greetings,

Have you ever noticed the similarities between Pennsylvania "Dutch" (German) culture and Hebrew culture?
Take a look at PA Dutch folk art, and compare with 1st century Jewish folk art. Also, the folk healing methods are largely indebted to Hebrew mysticism.
 Regards,
C Bilardi

Note especially the 4th map down:
"Kingdom of Solomon: Probably More Correct Version"

Where was Ophir?
http://britam.org/Kings/1Kings9.html#Where
The Bible says that Phoenician ships in association with King Solomon sailed to Ophir to bring back gold. Where was Ophir? Opinions vary from South America, India, Indonesia, Australia, to Africa. In the article below we briefly discuss some of the issues involved and opt for somewhere in South Africa, possibly Mozambique.
