BRIT-AM GENEALOGY
for the LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL
We can say that in general since someone comes from a certain area and is identified
with a group of people of probable Israelite origin then they too are most likely of
Israelite descent.

"6. William F. Dankenbring Queries Brit-AM Explanation of Jeremiah 3:18
Shalom Yair,
Knowing how marvelous are God's ways, and how clever are His designs, I would
submit Judah shall both go TO and return WITH Joseph; that the inspired Word is
flexible enough to mean both. A strong consideration very well could be that
those in the forefront of the restoration of our Israelite identity, such as
Herbert W. Armstrong (to his everlasting credit), are "lost Jews!" Mr.
Armstrong stressed his Davidic descent through the British Royal Family and I
know my family also hails from the Scottish and British Royal Families.

4. "Now thanks to Brit-Am I know"
Shalom Yair,
I look forward to every e-mail I receive from Brit-Am. I definitely believe you are doing the right thing. I have always felt a kinship with the Jewish people and a love for the land of Israel. G-d has been good to me because while in the U.S. Navy I had the privilege of a port call to Israel. It was the highlight of my life to be able to see and walk the ground on which my ancestor's lived. I didn't fully understand then my, for lack of a better word, feelings toward Israel. Now thanks to Brit-Am I know.
I am spreading the news about Brit-Am to my family, friends, and people I meet. There are many skeptics but G-d will open the eyes of whom He chooses. When the time finally comes to return home do you think the land will be able receive such a multitude? Keep up the good work.
G-d Bless You,
Craig
5. Question about Cyrus and Moden Iran
Question:
From: AGheytanch
Subject: Re: "Brit-Am Now"-531
DEAR YAIR:
IN YOUR E-MALE YOU
MENTIONED THE PERSIAN KING CYRUS AS MASSIAH SON OF JOSEPH .DOES IT MEAN THAT
THE IRANIANS OF TODAY(OR AT LEAST THE ETHNIC PERSIANS)ARE ALSO THE MEMBERS OF
THE LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL. HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THEIR ANINASITY TOWARD THE
STATE OF ISRAEL TODAY?
DAVID GHEYTANCHI LOS ANGLES, CA
Answer:
See our book "Joseph" and our commentary to Isaiah.
http://britam.org/isaiah/chap-forty-five.html
"Cyrus" was an actual King of Persia who actually helped the Jews return from their exile in Babylon.
In addition to that, Cyrus is also used by Isaiah [ 44:28 45:1 ] as a prototype for the Lost Ten Tribes
(or rather their leader or leaders) in the End Days. We quote from Commentators who identify
the said leader(s) with the Messiah son of Joseph or with aspects of a Messianic Process
named after the Messiah son of Joseph.
Not everybody is prepared to accept this concept and we leave it open as something worth of consideration.
The exegetical principle is that Cyrus (in addition to his historical reality in the past) ALSO
may represent an aspect connected with the Lost Ten Tribes in the future.
This is consistent with the style and message of Isaiah and helps us learn something concerning the identity
of the Lost Ten Tribes in the end times which conforms that which we already know from other Biblical sources.
A point we emphasize is that every proof must be seen as part of a whole and needs to be consistent
with the whole.
6. Some "Encouraging" Thoughts for the Day:
Life is short and hard: Live and let live.
Offence will find you without the need to go looking for it
in places where none was intended.
Enemies will search you out, you do not have to go looking for new ones.
7. Question About Messiah
From: Litkah ben Joseph
Subject:
Shalom Yair,
I reference the common rabbinical teaching that a Messiah will arise out of Ephraim, and one out of Judah.
Something I have been wrestling with...If I'm not mistaken, Athaliah would be of the tribe of Ephraim. The Torah does not list Ahab's tribe. I assume this is because it wasn't necessary to list it as it was understood that kings in the north would come out of Ephraim, having Jeroboam as precedent, except in those cases where a king arose by unlawful means from another tribe (which would then merit a listing....I believe Baasha is mentioned, as being from Issachar). so, assuming Athaliah is of Ephraim (which is a good assumption...I know of no other reason for the Torah not mentioning tribe), because Athaliah went south and married into the Davidic line of Kings, then could it not be said that Messiah will come out of Judah AND be a descendent of Ephraim (thru Athaliah)? What are your thoughts on this?
Shalom,
Joe
Answer:
First of all:
There is some confusion between the English and Hebrew concepts of "Messiah".
Messiah in Hebrew is "Mashiach" (also pronounced as "Moshiach") meaning "anointed".
[The term "Mashiach" (Anointed One) is sometimes mistakenly translated as "Saviour".
There is another term "Moshiah", meaning "Savior" and this in some dialects could be pronounced similarly
to "Moshiach", though the spelling is quite different. ]
High Priests were anointed and so often were kings. Anyone who was anointed could be referred to as
"Mashiah" (Mashiach).
David used this term in reference to King Saul: "MY MASTER, THE LORD'S ANOINTED" (1-Samuel 24:6).
In addition it was prophesied (Isaiah 11:1) that in the End Times a leader would arise from the House of David
who would restore Israel to its glory and induce an era that would ultimately save humankind.
This future leader was often referred to as "The Mashiach", i.e. The Anointed One.
The Biblical principle is that in the End Times the Branch of Joseph will join together with the Branch
of Judah. Later Rabbinical Tradition developed the concept that in the End Times there would arise
a Leader descended from Joseph referred to as "Mashiach ben Yoseph" (Messiah son of Joseph)
who would precede the Messiah son of David and prepare the way for him.
Still later the principle was developed to show that "Messiah son of Joseph" represented a period in time
and a whole historical movement that would prepare the way for the Messianic Age.
Other traditions said that the "Messiah son of Joseph" would lead the Lost Ten Tribes
in the End Times who would fight major battles, perform great deeds, and re-unite with Judah.
Brit-Am has shown how ALL these seemingly different notions are referring to the same process
and that this process provides ADDITIONAL PROOF that the identifications adopted by
Brit-Am are correct. See the chapter dedicated comprehensively to this subject in our work "Joseph".
At the same time it should be emphasized that the whole idea of the Messiah son of Joseph is not
a doctrine. It is a concept, something that Sages believe in but those who do not accept it
are not doing anything wrong. They may be mistaken but I doubt if anybody would condemn them.
On the other hand, a belief in a future Messiah Son of David is considered an article of faith
and someone who does not believe in this is considered as if they deny the sanctity of the
Bible.
Secondly, to your question:
If someone is termed "Son of" (i.e. "descended from") then the term is taken to mean descended through
the father. There may be exceptions but these are debated in the Commentators and at the least
are exceptional. In this case as in most other the simplest most straight-forward explanation is the one
that is most acceptable.
Spreading the Brit-Am message is our task.
We do this full time and God willing will continue to do so
as long as necessary.
