1. New Source: Did Isaiah 18 Predict British Restorationism?
British Restorationism  was an important political movement in Britain
that advocated the Restoration tot he Jews of the Land of Israel. This movement
was parallel to Zionism and in some ways even preceded it.
The source below was sent to us and appears to reveal possibilities well
worth considering:

From: Gregorio Billikopf Encina <bielikov@yahoo.com>

<<Some students of the Scriptures are honest enough to say they are lost
when it comes to Isaiah 18. Perhaps no one states it as well as does
Lowth: This is one of the most obscure prophecies in the whole book of
Isaiah. The subject of it, the end and design of it, the people to whom it
is addressed, the history to which it belongs, the person who sends the
messengers, and the nation to whom the messengers are sent; are all
obscure and doubtful. Delitzsch quotes Buttcher as saying that Isaiah 18
is perhaps the most difficult chapter in the whole of the Old Testament
Calvin, being lost says, We must resort to probable conjectures. In
other words, the world is lost on the subject of this chapter.

<<This chapter forms a chiasmus, with the positive news about the rescue of
Israel to take place at the ends of the chapter, and its scattering in the
middle. Samuel Horsley explains that Isaiah 18, Is a description of some
people, or another, destined to be principal instruments in the hand of
Providence, in the great work of the re-settlement of the Jews in the Holy
Land; a description of that people, by characters by which they will be
evidently known, when the time arrives the time of the completion of the
prophecy was very remote, when it was delivered, and is yet future [these
words were written in 1799]." This chapter is about the help that would
come from a far away nation who would help restore the Jews to the Holy
Land. Not only Britain, however, but the American Continent.

<<Samuel Horsley, a British author back in 1799, understood this prophecy
was about a far away nation that would help restore the Jews to HA-ERETZ.
He thought this role would be given to the British and wrote a letter to
King Edward.[1] Horsley begins the letter: To Edward, King. Esquire.
Dear Sir, Considerable portions of my time, for some years past, have been
employed in the study, of all studies the most interesting, of the
Prophetic parts of the Holy Scriptures; and among the rest, the Prophecies
of Isaiah, have deeply engaged my attention.>>

2. Dennis McGinlay: Why Bother with MJAA Criticisms?
From: Dennis McGinlay
Subject: Re: "Brit-Am Now"-604

Dear Yair
Why do you take any notice of such criticisms by 'MJAA'? I have known for
over forty years that the 'house of Israel' and the 'house of Judah' were
separated and had their individual destinies mapped out by the Creator of
all things. There is no wisdom or truth other than the word of God THE
BIBLE. (Old and New Testaments) Be sure that knowledge of the truth of the
scriptures can not be 'worked up' by any individual but rather are a gift
and a revelation from God. So far, you have been granted a 'secret'
knowledge that not many are privileged to have, so do what you do and ignore
'criticisms' that come from those whom God has left truth in the dark. I
don't say that you understand the whole truth, but you are on the right
track, and maybe that is all that God allows you. Nevertheless, keep up your
good work.
Pray for the whole truth.
Dennis McGinlay.

Brit-Am Reply:  The MJAA article was being presented as a refutation of  Brit-Am
beliefs and we were asked to answer it.
In effect the article was more bluff than anything else.
They said the promises were figurative or exaggerated. They did not deny that if taken literally
the Promises support the Brit-Am position. The verses they quoted as evidence upon examination
also turned out to be consistent with Brit-Am understanding rather than with that of the position they
were adopting.
They also claimed that the Tribes had not been "lost" but had returned and re-united with Judah
and were part of Judah. The Biblical evidence had already been answered by us in our article:
The Completeness of the Exile.  Answers to Deniers of
Brit-Am  Biblical Truth
http://www.britam.org/CompleteExile.html
Another piece of "evidence" they attempted to sneak in was a quotation from
a Greek-language popular  fairy tale known as "The Book of Tobias".
We said that the use of such "evidence' in the given context  was a bit "irresponsible" which if
anything is an understatement.
The rest of their argument consisted of attempts to associate Brit-Am Ephraimite
Two-House beliefs with potentially harmful ideas or with unsavory associations.
It was worth the while of Brit-Am to clarify the truth on the said points.

3. Woodrow Lovett: HaShem did not divorce Judah
Subject: Re: "Brit-Am Now"-604

At one time I met with a group that was afilliated with the MJAA, The MJAA is supported by Southern Baptist and strongly advocate the "Rapture" theory. The Church has replaced Israel. They are soul stealers, and a front to lead Jews into Christianity. As all  in  Brit -Am know: HaShem did not divorce Judah, and the Jew does not need to be reunited to the olive tree. The Jews are the olive tree.
The MJAA is just another group shouting a replacement theology IMHO.

Brit-Am Comment: You are correct that Judah was not divorced.
It was the Ten Tribes who were.
The northern tribes  were exiled because of their sins (Jeremiah 3:6-7 cf. 2-Kings chapters 17 and 18).
The exiled tribes had been divorced by God (Jeremiah 3:8). Legislatively, their membership in Israel as a collectively obliged body was suspended.
Temporarily are no longer legally obligated by the Mosaic Code (cf. Hosea 1:9, Yebamot 17). This will change in the future
and has not yet done so though the process may have begun.

4. Dennis McGinlay: "Brit-Am Israel"  name Preferable
Regarding your invitation for reaction to the name 'Brit-Am Ephraim'. Although Ephraim is the chief tribe of the house of 'Israel', all other tribes are counted worthy and accountable in that 'house'. Surely Brit-Am Israel which would be inclusive of the '13' tribes would be more appropriate.

May God bless the work

[Proverbs 4:8] EXALT HER, AND SHE SHALL PROMOTE THEE: SHE SHALL BRING THEE TO HONOUR, WHEN  THOU DOST EMBRACE HER.

[Proverbs 4:10] HEAR, O MY SON, AND RECEIVE MY SAYINGS; AND THE YEARS OF THY LIFE SHALL BE MANY.

[Proverbs 4:11] I HAVE TAUGHT THEE IN THE WAY OF WISDOM; I HAVE LED THEE IN RIGHT PATHS.

[Proverbs 4:12] WHEN THOU GOEST, THY STEPS SHALL NOT BE STRAITENED; AND WHEN THOU RUNNEST, THOU SHALT NOT STUMBLE.

[Proverbs 4:13] TAKE FAST HOLD OF INSTRUCTION; LET HER NOT GO: KEEP HER; FOR SHE IS THY LIFE.
