1. Question on Parthians and Goths
I once read by Steven Collins that he says that the Goths and Parthians were kin. I believe that also from my own reserch and many hours of study. The only thing that alludes me and maybe you can help me is what was the language of the Parthians, and is their a connection to the Goths language. Most of the books I own on Parthia speak so little on their language.
Also I was wanting to know if you can give us a little hint to what your new books are going to be about:) Hey I need to make room on my book shelf!
Thank you
Cam Rea
We also (see "The Tribes") consider the Parthians and Goths to have been kinfolk.
A Chinese manuscript referring to the Yueh-Chi whom we identify as a portion of
the Goths says that the Rulers of the Parthians were from the same family as
those of the Yueh-Chi.
The Parthian language is said to have been a mixture of Iranian
and Aramaic.
The Goths spoke a Germanic dialect as far as we know.
Several Germanic and other tribes were absorbed by the Goths
and became identified as Goths.
We have identified the Goths with Gad and in Ancient Hebrew the name
GAD could have even been pronounced as "Goth"!
The Goths settled mainly in Sweden.
Swedish appears to have some Aramaic influence.
Orjan Svensson has deciphered some Runic inscriptions in Sweden
as having been written in Aramaic.

#2. Important New Insights on Manasseh - Sources?
I think what is meant here--at least what I would like--is to be able to read what the rabbis said in their own words. In other words, who are they and where did they publish their conclusions, or is it all word of mouth?
Answer:
For the sake of the article we are using three different books.
They are all in Hebrew.
Two of them we have quoted from in the past.
One of these works "Bnei Yissachar" was published more than 150 years ago
by a well-known authority (Rabbi Zvi Elimelech of Dinov, ca. 1783-1841)
The other two are recent works (one just published) by heretofore unknown
authors but they have good approbations.
The article is still in preparation.
Some of the points rely on a simple explanation of Biblical verses,
others on niceties of the Hebrew language, and some on logical deductions
from accepted traditions.
3. Messiah son of Joseph from Ephraim or Manasseh?

1. Manasseh - Important New Insights
Meshiach ben Yoseph (Messiah son of Joseph) to come from Menasseh.
Menasseh to be involved with building of Third Temple.
Kings of Israel from Menasseh were more like "Princes" or "Presidents" when
compared with the monarchs from Ephraim.
The renewal of Israel will begin in the territory of Menasseh.
HI Yair
I thought Messiah of Yosef is supposed to be from Ephraim?
please advise

Answer:
You are right. There is such a tradition
http://britam.org/messiah.html
We discussed this tradition in our work, "Joseph", chapter seven:
<<The traditional Aramaic Translation of the Prophets (Targum Yehonathan on Exodus 40:11) traces MESSIAH SON OF JOSEPH to Joshua the son of Nun from the Tribe of Ephraim. Other sources say he is a descendant of Jeroboam the son of Nebath (Zohar Chadash, Balak 56b) who led the northern Ten Tribes into exile and broke away from the House of David (1-Kings chapter 12). MESSIAH SON OF JOSEPH the descendant of Jeroboam will thus rectify the sin of his ancestor by re-uniting with Judah. >>
The Midrash Rabah 14:2 however seems to say that the Messiah son of Joseph comes from
Manasseh whereas the Annointed Savior for War will come from Ephraim.
This is a point possibly worth looking into.

5. George Helon: Who is a Jew and Who is Not and Location of Tribe of Zebulon?

Subject: Who is a Jew and Who is Not and Location of Tribe of Zebulon?
THIS CAN BE PUBLISHED/POSTED
Yair,
My name is George HELON and I am writing to you from Australia with respect to recent postings about DNA testing, its historical and ecclesiastical accuracy and scientific validity, and the use use of genetic research into one's deep ancestral origins to ascertain whether or not one is a Jew or not?
I do not support the argument that if you are not a "practising" Jew [one may even be a Christian now] and you take a DNA test which results in you being put into a Haplogroup which according to statistical data would make you a Jew by ancestral descent, that you can't in fact be a Jew - you can!
You forget one thing - some of our ancestors had to adopt new religions and convert [and not by choice] in order to save their lives and those of their children. Although religious practises might have been forgotten, some families have retained their links to their "real" ancestral heritage through oral history.
In the case of my family, my ancestors have throughout history been exiled, deported and stripped of their hereditary rights, simply because of who they were and their religion; they had no choice but to adopt catholicism.
My family lived for hundreds of years in that area west of the Black Sea in the Ukraine to the Bug River in Poland/Ukraine and only moved after deportation by the Soviet NKVD in February 1940.
According to oral, biblical, historical, cartographical and other evidence, my family descends from HELON [from whom we take our surname], Prince of the Tribe of Zebulon and my ancestors were also Scythians [the HELONIANS] and Monguls [HOELUN, the mother of Genghis Khan was a HELON too] and I beg to differ on your theory that the Tribe of Zebulon is identifiable with Holland [p. 349 "The Tribes"].
Yes, "Zebulon will live beside the sea. His shore will be a haven for ships [Genesis 49:13]," but a haven is not surrounded by water, eg. Holland, rather historically and geographically, a haven is place where ships anchor and seek shelter or refuge - a bay or port backed by a land mass...i.e. the Black Sea.
As you well know, when the Tribes were taken into captivity their route of exile took them to the Black Sea region, the land of the Scythians. Incidently, their are today excavations underway at Bilsk - north of Poltava - in the Ukraine at the site of the famous walled city of HELON [GELON in Ukrainian] as described by Herodotus, and where which lived the Budini and GELONIANS.
In your book "The Tribes" [p..410], you wrote: ' Australia means "Land of the South", and is called "Sinim" (Isaiah 49:12) in the Bible. "Sinim" is one of the places from which the descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel will return.' On this point I agree, but from here will come the Tribe of Zebulon.
Regards,
George HELON: Australia
