1. Brit-Am and the Return of "Ephraim" in General
IMPORTANT:
Until the BRIT-AM Message or something like it has been generally accepted
or at least made known to both Joseph and Judah
there is nothing to talk about.
This message must be made known as we present it and not as the domain of our
anti-Semitic nut case conspiracy ridden enemies.
These people are not only the enemies of "Brit-Am" but of the "Ephraimite"
cause in general.
This is what we have been trying to say all along, over and over again.
Too many "Ephraimites" ignore this point and lead off on the assumption that the
"Ephraimite" belief is a given fact obvious to everyone and acceptable to all.
This is not the case. Maybe it should be but it is not.
Without support for Brit-Am no progress can be made anywhere,
at least at the moment.
To try and duplicate Brit-Am is liable to cost much more than helping Brit-Am
a little bit more would and not be as effective.
2. Letter from "Lee" in Arizona
Mr. Davidiy:
Your book TRIBES is great! I am about one fourth of the way through it now, and I can't get over the amount of research that you did to write it. I have always been a student of history, but I have never been able to put it all together the way your book does. I think it is a masterpiece of work.
I noticed on the back cover of TRIBES that you are originally from Australia. I was sent to Brisbane during WWII to the submarine base. When I arrived, the base had been moved to Fremantle. There were 15 submarine sailors left stranded in Brisbane. At the same time 300 Italian prisoners from the war in North Africa had to get to Western Australia. Somehow the powers in charge decided to transfer the 15 Navy men to the Australian Army so we could help escort the Italian prisoners to the West. What an adventure for a teenager like me. I truly cherish the memory of that war time adventure and often wonder what became of all those Italian prisoners. Actually the ones that could speak and understand English seemed like pretty nice guys, caught up in a world they had no control over. The Australian Army was great to us yanks and I especially liked the train stopping several time a day so they could boil the billy , have tea and eat. The train had no dining room .Well, enough of my adventure.
Listening to the evening news from Israel, I know you must be faced with a terrible situation there. Everyone I know has great empathy for the Jewish people. But, when people don't know the past history of world events, they can make rash decisions from the news and television reports. I pray that everything works out for Israel, but I also hope that your government does not give in and give up any more of your territory. We are totally behind Israel. Thanks again for your kindness in sending me the book and let me know how much I owe you.

3. Brit-Am and the Return of "Ephraimites" as Individuals
Someone who is Jewish from the Western World (I am not sure what the
procedure is in Russia etc but understand that these days it is much the same)
who wishes to come to Israel must prove they are Jewish.
They must have some type of documentary evidence or there must be
witnesses etc.
They do not have to be Jewish according to Jewish Religion.
It is enough if they can prove that one parent or even grandparent was Jewish.
In our opinion this is mistaken and they should have to be Jewish according
to the Jewish Religion either being born of a Jewish mother or having
converted through an Orthodox Court.
This however is another matter.
"Ephraimites" have no proof they are "Ephraimites"
apart from the writings of Brit-Am and/or someone similar.
Even these writings they often do not refer to but rely on a
"gut" feeling.
This is not enough.
In the future things may change and other options open.
A first step however is for Brit-Am to function and to spread the message.
Once the message gets out there should be something to talk about.
At the moment there is not.
Incidentally I just glanced at an article concerning people of Spanish
Origin in New Mexico etc who have a tradition that they are descended from Jews.
These people are catholics and usually intend to remain Catholics.
Even if they could prove (and they cannot) prove beyond all doubt that they are of
Jewish descent they would not be recognized as such.
This is how things stand everywhere.
THE MESSAGE OF BRIT-AM IS PRIMARILY TO JOSEPH.
Joseph on the whole does not know who he is.
This should change. This is the first step.
Joseph must be made aware of his Brit-Am origin.
4. Scythian Mummy in Mongolia

Ancient Mummy Found in Mongolia
The spectacular find of the frozen remains of a Scythian warrior in Mongolia by an international team of archeologists could shed new light on ancient life. Some of those findings will be the subject of a major exhibition in Berlin next year.
Scientists in Berlin this week gave their first major press conference about the spectacular discovery of a frozen mummy in Mongolia's Altai mountains. The frozen corpse, embedded in permafrost, is considered one of the greatest archeological finds since climbers came across the mummified remains of tzi, the ice man, in an alpine glacier. The corpse of the Scythian warrior could help provide clues about how people lived 2,500 years ago and about what illnesses they suffered.
"The mummy is unbelievably valuable to science," Hermann Parzinger, president of the German Archeological Institute (DAI), said on Thursday in Berlin. He described the mummy recently discovered in Mongolia as a "one of a kind find" that could increase our knowledge about the nutrition and health of early man.
The mummy, which is believed to be about 2,500 years old was a 30-to-40 year-old man with blond hair, and was found in very good condition, Patzinger said. It's too delicate for exhibition, but new techniques developed following other recent discoveries of frozen mummies will enable scientists to study the remains in detail. The newly discovered Altai mummy has been compared to the discovery of tzi in southern Tyrol in 1991 and a tattooed Siberian ice princess in 1993.
The mummy was found in a difficult to access part of the Altai mountain region at an altitude of 2,600 meters (8,500 feet) in an area bordering Mongolia, China and Russia. Scientists from Germany, Mongolia and Russia came across the intact burial mount of the Scythian warrior in permafrost ground at the end of July. The Scythians were a nomadic people who lived around 700 years BC in a region that spanned from southern Russia and the Ukraine to the Dnieper River.
The warrior, whose cause of death has not been determined, was buried in full dress. "He wore a fur coat made of marmot fur with sheep's wool lining and adorned with sable," Parzinger said. Beneath the fur coat, traces could be found of woven wool pants. The man's feet were covered by knee-high felt boots. "There could be more surprises when we remove the clothing from the partly mummified body," he added. Parzinger said researchers believe the decorations indicated he was a man of nobility.
The scientist also said there would likely by a major exhibition in Berlin next year about the Scythian warrior discovery that would, he hopes, include some of the artifacts found at the site. The man was buried together with two horses whose bridles are still in good condition. Parts of the animal carcasses were also still intact -- including flesh, skin and hide.
The finds are currently being studied in the Mongolian capital city of Ulan Bator. "But we're still not certain what will be restored," DAI President Patzinger said.
5. Question on Continuing Conversion process
Question:
Re: Elisheva's question below - I am in the process of going through an orthodox conversion now. My ancestry is from the united kingdom. So I am doing the right thing by converting?
Answer:
Probably yes. If you have already began such a course experience indicates it
could be better for you to complete it.
Too many drop out and later regret it.
Even so, this is an individual decision beyond the jurisdiction or field of interest of
Brit-Am.
Jewish traditions say that most converts descend from Jews or from Lost Israelites.
They also say that the Lost Ten Tribes are destined to convert BUT
what exactly this means is not certain. It could mean a simple mass renewal of the Covenant.
Ezekiel 37 and other sources emphasis that ultimately Judah and Joseph will become
one body with no difference between them.
This however is all for the future.
Brit-Am neither encourages nor discourages people from converting to Judaism.
It is simply not our thing.
Before Columbus some people suspected the existence of America.
After Columbus and his contemporaries people knew America existed.
History decided what would result from that knowledge.
Brit-Am considers itself comparable to "Colombus".
Your question included information about your origins
implying that you well maybe descended from the Lost Ten Tribes.
This knowledge should strengthen your decision but in our opinion
(at this stage at least) it should not be the major consideration.
Brit-Am always emphasized that such questions are not part of our Mandate.
We also gave our impression that in some cases communal involvement with other members of
one's own Tribal origin may be preferable. Each person however must act according
to how Divine Providence leads them.
The Brit-Am Message in general terms has always been:
Be aware who you probably are.
Bring that knowledge to those who are like yourself
or at least assist Brit-Am to do so.
God bless you

6. Question on Judah and Josph from Jonathan Tillotson
Jonathan Tillotson <jon_tillotson@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:
Re: "Brit-Am Now"-832
#1. Questions from Elisheva:
Hi,
In response to number 1 (from Elisheva) might there not be grounds for a discussion about the historical roots of the Jewish religion in hsitory and a consideration of whether or not this Jewish religion, in the form we have it today, arose and found its current form, in times that post dated the exile of the nothern tribes. In other words, prior to 721 BC were Israelites in the northern kingdom, or were they not, worshipping God in the same way as Jews from Judah worship him today?
I had thought that the Jewish relgion (Judaism) was codified firstly in Babylon in the 6th century BC..then it adapted itself further to the hellenistic influence brought by Alexander (as well as strongly resisting that influence as well, of course). Finally, after the exile by the Romans and the loss of the temple, Judaism had to adapt to its circumstances - not being able to be practised in the land of Israel, and without a temple to give it focus. Can it not be suggested then that contemporary Judaism, even in its Orthodox manifestations, might be significantly different to the style of Divine worship and practice that would have prevailed in both Kingdoms, and especially the Northern, prior to the exiles..? If this is the case, why is it still the case that non-Jewish Israelites must convert to the historically contingent post Roman-exilic religion of Judaism?
I realise that Judaism believes in an oral tradition that traces itself back to the time of Moses and before. Would this be a central argument for Judaism right to instruct? Does Judaism consider itself to have sole voice and authority in detailing how the tribes of israel are to relate to the Almighty? Might not such a consideration be a part of that same tension between Joseph (the ten tribes) and Judah (for which both are surely to blame) which caused so much tension from the time of Solomon until the Assyrian invasion..a tension which, surely, the two houses should now be putting behind them. Surely respect between the two houses should go both ways. Just as Northern Israelites (be they Christian or not) should not seek to impose their pratices onto Jews, or disrespect their faith in the way, for example, some might by trying to convert them to Christianity (or should I say Churchianity), cannot Jews also be persuaded similarly not to expect Northern Israelites to convert to their historic, post exilic faith, a faith which, for 2500 years has been practiced, largely speaking, in isolation from these Northern Israelites. Or am I wrong?
I am not saying Judaism does not have much to offer and instruct the Nothern tribes, especially with respect to everyday morality and a critique of the various forms of idolatry. I take my cue from genesis 49, Jacob's blessings..where we see Judah receiving a rich blessing. But Josephs blessings are also considerable. And maybe here we can contrast this with the Book of Jubilees which, if i recall correclty, negatively altered the blessings to Joseph..reversing somewhat their considerable breadth and depth. I also remember finding the extolling of Levi found therein (in the Book of Jubilees) striking when I studied it at University (again compare with Genesis 49). Do I refer incorrectly to this contrast between genesis and the Book of Jubilees?
Anyway, those are some of my thoughts and I apologise in advance if i have written any errors..and I mean no disrespect.
God bless
Answer:
The Lost Ten Tribes before their exile were pagans but they probably kept
vestiges of the Mosaic Law. Even so they were exiled because of their pagan practices
as emphasized in 2-Kings chs. 17 and 18 and elsewhere.
Judaism evolved but retained the Biblical Principles it had been bequeathed with.
You asked:
<<Would this be a central argument for Judaism right to instruct? Does Judaism consider itself to have sole voice and authority in detailing how the tribes of israel are to relate to the Almighty? You are presuming too much or extrapolating from what may be the attitude of Christians
as if they were Jewish.
Judaism does not wish to instruct.
People come and request that they do.
These requests are answered with some reluctance.
There may have been a stage when Judaism felt a need to instruct others
but centuries of Gentile persecution, deliberate misinterpretation, and
intentional misunderstanding drove it out of them.
Most Jews ARE NOT AWARE who the Lost Ten Tribes are
and do not relate to them one way or other.
There should be no tension since there is no issue.
In a religious sense in our opinion the Lost Ten Tribes have very little if anything to teach Judah
unless from within the Jewish framework.
The complete redemption of Judah is however contingent on the return of Joseph and reunification of
the two.
The Book of Jubilees may be misleading.
I have not so far read it. As far as I understand it was written by Jew in the Greek
language, or we only have a Greek translation.
It was never especially revered by Jews.
For some reason it was included (as part of the Apocrypha) in the early Canon of the Roman Bible
and later taken out of the Protestant one.
Historically it probably had more importance for the Christians than for anybody else.
Brit-Am recognizes "Joseph" in general terms not concerning individuals.
Brit-Am is not representative of all Judah.
Most Jews have not heard about us and those who do have mixed reactions concerning us.
Most of Joseph do not know who they are.
Much of these discussions are theoretical and perhaps superfluous.
We should take one thing at a time.
Where is Joseph?
How sure can we be?
How many in the West actually belong to Joseph?
If implications exist to whom should they apply?
and lastly
What should the implications (if any) be?
We have not gotten to the Last Stage yet and are not liable to do so in the near future.
People who agree with the identifications made by Brit-Am should assist Brit-Am
to spread this knowledge.
By parable, John Smith lived a hundred years ago and was aware that smoking is bad for health.
John Smith therefore wished that certain measures be taken
against smoking.
At that time however not everybody considered smoking to be unhealthy
and they lacked the knowledge on the subject we have today.
for judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was joseph's
(1-Chronicles 5:1 2).
ephraim is the strength of mine head; judah is my lawgiver (Psalms 60:9, 108:90).
in those days ten men out of all the languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a jew, saying, we will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you (Zechariah 8:23).
http://britam.org/ezekiel/ezekiel.html
Ezekiel says that Judah has an obligation to help the Lost Ten Tribes return. The complete return of Judah is dependent upon the return of Samaria (16:53, 55, 61) meaning the Ten Tribes especially Manasseh.
