New Insight into Machir
of Manasseh
Hello again, Yair!
A very quick point. I have read your article on Machir and America many times,
and, after much consideration, believe you are correct in your conclusions. I
came to this position quite some time ago. Have you ever considered that the
first part of the name of America might be in reference to the Hebrew 'am',
meaning 'nation'? Thus Am-Machir, meaning 'a nation sold' - referring to their
punishment - or 'a nation of sellers'? This has been on my mind for ages. I
can't shake the feeling that this meaning is intentional. The use of the root 'mawkar'
in Deuteronomy 32:30 seems particularly relevant, both from its content - the
thousands and ten thousands, referenced elsewhere in relation to Ephraim and
Manasseh - and the verses immediately preceding. The context seems to be one in
which God sells His people because of their unfaithfulness, but for all that
redeems them for His greatness' sake. I'm sure you can fill in the gaps here.

Subject: ends of the earth
Hi Yair,
Just a quick point in relation to Ephraim being Great Britain. Deuteronomy 33:17
talks of Ephraim and Manasseh becoming world superpowers. This is especially
true because of the phrase 'ends of the earth', which has a double
signification. Ephraim is the son who literally colonised the ends of the earth,
his presence being found in New Zealand and Australia, with the former - New
Zealand - being the most literal fulfillment.
This takes us back to Genesis 48, where Reuben and Simeon are mentioned
alongside Ephraim and Manasseh. I have a theory about this, which involves
Simeon being Australia and New Zealand being Reuben. I know this latter
identification flies in the face of what most others think regarding Reuben's
whereabouts. Nevertheless, I believe I can mount a compelling case for it.
However, it will have to wait until I have sufficient time to write up the
details.
To those subscribers who know a thing or two about both Australia and New
Zealand, Australians are not dissimilar to Americans in many ways. They are
certainly a lot closer to Americans in character than they are to the British.
The reverse applies for New Zealanders. We Kiwis are much more like the British
in character, and much less like the Americans. Pretty much any Kiwi or Aussie
will confirm this. More on this theory another time.
God bless all you set your heart and mind to, Yair.

Brit-Am Comment: The similarity of Australia to America is only superficial in
my opinion.
Australians (despite their genuine egalitarianism and always being prepared to
give the other
bloke a "fair go") actually stratify everybody as much as, if not more than, the
British.
They have their own natural class system.
I too whether through being brought up in Australia or by inheritance also have
this attribute
which I only recently became aware of. We are not always conscious of these
matters.
The attribute has both positive and negative applications.
It is very important for Australians to know where whoever they are dealing with
fit into the social
or value hierarchy they are concerned with.
They usually want the other person to "feel" who they are and they want to know
"who" the other person is
from the first encounter. As the encounter continues so will the other person go
up or down
in the scale of value already determined.
Americans seem more interested in what you can do for them or for others, now.
They also will let you know what they can do for you.
Very crudely speaking Americans are interested in "Machir" (price) or merchant
value
not necessarily always in the monetary sense but also in the social or spiritual
one.
Jews strangely enough seem to be more "existential". They are concerned more
with "law"
and the here and now.
The above suggested parameters appear to go against common perceptions but they
have an inner logic to them.
It is as if people require inner value systems of their own and sometimes relate
to them by going in what seems
to be the opposite direction.

3. New Books (by
others) on Brit-Am themes in preparation for publishing on Brit-Am themes.
Walt Baucuum has two books that Brit-Am is preparing and soon at
least one of them should be ready.
One of the books concerns Atlantis and its connection to Ancient Israel.
The other involves the Tribe of Dan.
Both these works involve themes for which there is much interest.
The information is very valuable and interesting.
Brit-AM hopes to publish a work by Cam Rea. The manuscript for this work
has been prepared.
It involves the early history of the Israelite Exiles in the Assyrian Empire,
etc.
This book is exciting and contains valuable new information and insights.
It could become a very important contribution to the available literature.
