Subject: Benjamin, Norway and wolves
Shalom Yair,
A recent writer questioned whether wolves were ever a part of Viking
symbolism or lore. I am among those who link Norway with the tribe of
Benjamin. I'll briefly mention a few examples. National Geographic
magazine did a cover story on the Vikings in May, 2000 which noted on pages
12-13 that Viking lore featured wolves in their symbolism and mythology.
Some artistic examples are shown in their article.
Also, I saw an illustration in a book two years ago of a national monument
to the nation of Norway which was going to be built but WW 2 prevented its
construction. It would have featured a tall obelisk/tower surrounded by
four wolves.
Just tonight, I was watching the History Channel here in the USA, which had
a program called "Unconventional Warfare" [this reminded me of the posting
and prompted this response]. It included a segment on the fiercest warriors
in the Norwegian Viking bands, particularly those of King Harold Fairhair,
who united Norway via conquest. They were called the "Berserkers" and they
were Viking/Norwegian shock troops. They went to war without armor and
were covered in either wolf-skins or bear-skins. The fast-paced action
depicted on the program also showed wolves on the Berserkers' shields.
Interestingly, the most feared Viking warriors were associated with
wearing wolf-skins, and the program mentioned only Norwegians as
Berserkers.
Genesis 49:27 prophesied that in the latter days, the tribe of Benjamin
would be linked to a reputation of "raven[ing] like a wolf," and the
marauding Viking/Norwegian bands were like packs of wolves which raided the
other nations of Europe from their northern homelands. Wolves are common
in northern climates, and the Viking heritage is indelibly stamped on the
Norwegians. As a historical parallel, even as the tribe of Benjamin fought
all the other tribes of Israel in Judges 20, the Vikings fought against all
the other nations of Europe (which included the other tribes of Israel) for
a time. the Genesis 49:27 prophecy strongly implies the Benjaminites will
live in a northern region, and the term "Norway" comes from the term
"Northern Way."

God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
Standing in the middle of the road is dangerous. You will get knocked
down by the traffic from both ways.
Words are windows to the heart.
A skeptic is a person who when he sees the handwriting on the
wall, claims it's a forgery
.
It isn't difficult to make a mountain out of a molehill just add a little
dirt.
The mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held its ground.
To forgive is to set the prisoner free, and then discover the prisoner was
you.
4. Linda Lee: Discoveries
Dear Mr. Davidy,
I have recently been reading articles about the Lost Tribes of Israel and
have been studying the prophecies in Isaiah, Ezekiel, Hosea and others. I
cannot tell you how blessed I have been to come to an understanding of the
Lost Tribes. I visited Israel with my mother in the spring of 2000 and it
was an incredible journey. The friends I have that live in Israel (they are
in the States at present) have kept me informed since then about what is
going on there and for such a long time my heart has been burdened for the
people and land of Israel. NOW I know why! Your teaching, and the teaching
of others with like mind, has helped unlock the truths that are in G-d's Word.
After studying and researching our own family background and heritage, we
have discovered that our ancestors came from Wales and Germany. I am
convinced with every part of my being that our ancestors were descendants
of the tribe of Ephraim.
The house of Ephraim and the house of Manasseh must learn who they are
and the responsibility they have.

The Final Message of Prophecy
We all have a tendency to downplay the importance of Brit-Am beliefs
concerning the Lost Ten Tribes. Even we here in Jerusalem
sometimes let ourselves forget the importance of what we are doing or
should be doing.
Nevertheless, the Bible has a different attitude.
The Prophetic section of the Hebrew Bible concludes with the following
three verses that summarize the major message of all prophecy:
[Malachi 4:4] REMEMBER YE THE LAW OF MOSES MY SERVANT, WHICH I COMMANDED
UNTO HIM IN HOREB FOR ALL ISRAEL, WITH THE STATUTES AND
JUDGMENTS.
[Malachi 4:5] BEHOLD, I WILL SEND YOU ELIJAH THE PROPHET BEFORE THE COMING
OF THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD:
[Malachi 4:6] AND HE SHALL TURN THE HEART OF THE FATHERS TO THE CHILDREN,
AND THE HEART OF THE CHILDREN TO THEIR FATHERS, LEST I COME AND SMITE THE
EARTH WITH A CURSE.
"Elijah the Prophet" represents a real person. He also represents a
process. This involves the descendants of Israel recognizing who they are,
where they came from, and the significance this has for themselves and for
their offspring: This is what it means when Malachi says:
"HE SHALL TURN THE HEART OF THE FATHERS TO THE CHILDREN, AND THE HEART OF
THE CHILDREN TO THEIR FATHERS".
The Lost Ten Tribes have to become aware of their identity. Judah also has
to be made aware of who the Lost Ten Tribes are.
This part of the Messianic process. Through this path we can further our
Redemption.
If we fail in this task a calamity is liable to occur:
"LEST I COME AND SMITE THE EARTH WITH A CURSE"!
