2. Brit-Am and Belief.
Yair Davidy does not have the same beliefs as many of those who support Brit-Am.
There are members of Brit-Am however who do.
Even so, whatever our beliefs the purpose of Brit-Am is primarily to
clarify the Israelite origins of certain peoples who are not on the whole
aware of their
Hebrew ancestry.
Quite a few people find that this type of study strengthens their belief.
It is exhilarating, true, and inspiring. It shows how Divine Providence
works in this world
and demonstrates the truth of the Bible coming into play in our day to day
existence and in our very physical existence.
You could probably find similar beliefs as those of Brit-Am elsewhere but
it would not be the same.

Dave Jackson just wrote us a letter (that we will re-publish in our
magazine) pointing out
that the "mythological" origins of the British-descended peoples hardly
exists but the Bible does and the
Bible does in effect record their origins.
Thomas Jefferson proposed that the great seal of the USA should show the
Anglo-Saxons invading England on one
side and the Children of Israel crossing the Red Sea on the other. British
tradition (both Celtic and Anglo-Saxon)
did hold in a way that their ancestors did come out of Egypt with the
Israelites under Moses and had been part of them.
This is the true ancestry of the greatest and most refined amongst them.
Whether it applies to the mass of the people concerned and their great men
expressed the inner soul
of the collective subconscious or were a separate minority is still an
unresolved question
but the first possibility appears to be the correct one.
At all events the overwhelming majority of the Lost Ten Tribes are amongst
these peoples
as explained by Brit-Am.

Your claims should be divided into two aspects:
a. Color
b. Why only Europeans?
a. Color
Regarding our considerations of the physical appearance of the ancient
Israelites

Regarding the case about leprosy proving that the ancient Israelites were
colored you may have a point
(Leviticus 13) but even amongst white people there are degrees of whiteness.
Look at the base of the finger nails of a white person and you will see a
crown of much lighter
coloring than the rest of the body that really stands out.
I personally believe that color changes in human beings according to a
combination of genetic and environment factors.
Even the scientists now suggest that "blonde" people did not exist in
Europe before ca 2000 BCE according to their reckoning.
We have written about this in the past. More and more evidence is
supporting the conclusions we reached.
Anyway regarding Moses, the daughters of Jethro (who were themselves
probably "Cushites")
described him as an Egyptian since he probably dressed, spoke, and acted
like one.
Similarly the Pacific Islanders when whey first encountered Americans
referred to both the
"Caucasians" and Negroes amongst them as "White Men" since the white men
were the majority
and all of them (even those of African origin) had similar characteristics
from the islanders perspective.
Most of the Egyptians were dark brownish but some were light skinned and
still are.
Moses married a dark skinned "Cushite" (translated as Ethiopian) woman
and his family criticized him for this and were censured by the Almighty.
The reason for their criticism may not have been due to color but some
great Commentators (e.g. Abarbanel) say it was
and that is what it could have been and how it sounds:
[Numbers 12:1] AND MIRIAM AND AARON SPAKE AGAINST MOSES BECAUSE OF THE
ETHIOPIAN WOMAN (Hebrew: "Cushit") WHOM HE HAD MARRIED: FOR HE HAD MARRIED
a "CUSHIT".
God replied:
[Numbers 12:7] MY SERVANT MOSES IS NOT SO, WHO IS FAITHFUL IN ALL MINE
HOUSE.
[Numbers 12:8] WITH HIM WILL I SPEAK MOUTH TO MOUTH, EVEN APPARENTLY, AND
NOT IN DARK SPEECHES; AND THE SIMILITUDE OF THE LORD SHALL HE BEHOLD:
WHEREFORE THEN WERE YE NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK AGAINST MY SERVANT
MOSES?
[Numbers 12:9] AND THE ANGER OF THE LORD WAS KINDLED AGAINST THEM; AND HE
DEPARTED.
From this we can learn a few points, such as:
1. Aaron and Miriam were great people but even they could be prejudiced and
mistaken about others.
2. God backed Moses on this matter.
b. We agree that descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes as well as descendants
of Jews may well be found amongst all peoples of the earth and they are
destined to return.
Nevertheless Scripture indicates that in the Latter Times the Lost Ten
Tribes will be concentrated in certain areas even though on the whole at
first they will not know their origins until these be made know unto them.
In their places of concentration they will have unique collective
peculiarities of their own through which they may be identified.
This is what Scripture says and this is what we go by.
We do not say that all Europeans are Israelites but rather that the Lost
Israelites were concentrated in a few
areas of Europe. Most Europeans are not of Israelite origin and therefore
are no different in this regard from anybody else.
We also pointed out that according to Isaiah people from the Lost Ten
Tribes (headed by "Joseph" represented by "Cyrus" as we explained) were
destined to take Africans (Saba, SABAEANS, MEN OF STATURE see our book
"Joseph", the ancestors of most Negroes came from Saba in the Sudan) in
chains to their own land and in the last days descendants of these people
would acknowledge that the only true God is the one who reveals Himself
through descendants of His people.
"THUS SAYS THE LORD, THE LABOR OF EGYPT, AND MERCHANDISE OF ETHIOPIA [in
Hebrew: CUSH], AND OF THE SABAEANS, MEN OF STATURE, SHALL COME OVER UNTO
YOU, AND THEY SHALL BE YOURS: THEY SHALL COME AFTER YOU; IN CHAINS THEY
SHALL COME OVER, AND THEY SHALL FALL DOWN UNTO YOU, THEY SHALL MAKE
SUPPLICATION UNTO YOU, SAYING, SURELY GOD IS IN YOU; AND THERE IS NO ELSE,
THERE IS NO OTHER GOD" (Isaiah 45;14).
This is an important point: The God of Israel is the ONLY God and He
reveals Himself through HIS people.
The path to God is through the Bible.

modern world

Craig
Brit-Am does not necessarily agree with Craig on every point but if
one is seriously interested in these matters the book of Craig is a good
place to start with
and come back to.
Craig was a supporter of Brit-Am from the beginning. He writes well
and has an eye for information that is both important and interesting
and is otherwise hard to come by.
He is a friend of ours and has conducted research because he believes that
this is what God wants.
The result is a book of value and worth reading.
6. Do Brit-Am "Types" Exist?
Judging by what I know I would say they do.
They are often God-fearing, sensitive, self-effacing and intellectual
without always being aware of it.
They are able to think for themselves and their intellectual judgements
appear to be of a higher
standard even than those found amongst subscribers to "academic" discussion
lists.
7. Personal Health Hints
These are things I was advised about by others and seem to work for me:
a. When waking in the morning, clean yourself, then drink two glasses of water
and more glasses of water during the day. This helps your system adjust in
the morning,
is good for your whole body, improves your complexion, and your whole outlook.
It sounds simple but it works. Pure Water is a gift of the Almighty. We
take it for granted
and fail to use it at our cost.
b. Depression: This afflicts most of us at some time or other. Maimonides
quoted Aristotle
as saying that all great men are afflicted with it. Winston Churchill
referred to it as "the black
dog". Regular Physical exercise is probably the best cure or preventive for
this. Find a sport you enjoy.
For men I would recommend a branch of the martial arts since this can help
get rid of unexpressed
aggressions and anger and thus you will get on better with others. It could
also help in a real life situation.
Change your routine: If due to work etc you are always surrounded by people
find time to yourself
OR if you work alone find time to mix with others. Intellectual pursuits,
Bible study, prayer, etc also
can be a cure. Use it as a driving force. Eat reasonably.
b. Cuts and bruises can take a while to heal due to aging. Many antiseptic
creams seem to make the situation worse.
I found Zinc cream the best solution. It seems to work at once. The less
adulterated it is the better.
It is also less expensive.
