I have been suffering from a bad dose of the flue,
have not done much for the last few days and maybe should have taken it
easy for a while longer.

Satellite images 'show Atlantis'

Satellite photos of southern Spain reveal features on the ground appearing
to match descriptions made by Greek scholar Plato of the fabled utopia.

Dr Rainer Kuehne thinks the "island" of Atlantis simply referred to a
region of the southern Spanish coast destroyed by a flood between 800 BC
and 500 BC.

The research has been reported as an ongoing project in the online edition
of the journal Antiquity.

Satellite photos of a salt marsh region known as Marisma de Hinojos near
the city of Cadiz show two rectangular structures in the mud and parts of
concentric rings that may once have surrounded them.

"Plato wrote of an island of five stades (925m) diameter that was
surrounded by several circular structures - concentric rings - some
consisting of Earth and the others of water. We have in the photos
concentric rings just as Plato described," Dr Kuehne told BBC News Online.

Dr Kuehne, of the University of Wuppertal in Germany, believes the
rectangular features could be the remains of a "silver" temple devoted to
the sea god Poseidon and a "golden" temple devoted to Cleito and Poseidon -
all described in Plato's dialogue Critias.

The features were originally spotted by Werner Wickboldt, a lecturer and
Atlantis enthusiast who studied photographs from across the Mediterranean
for signs of the city described by Plato.

"This is the only place that seems to fit [Plato's] description," he told
BBC News Online.

Mr Wickboldt added that the Greeks might have confused an Egyptian word
referring to a coastline with one meaning "island" during transmission of
the Atlantis story.


The fabled utopia of Atlantis has captured the imagination of scholars for
centuries. The earliest known records of this mythical land appear in
Plato's dialogues Critias and Timaios.

His depiction of a land of fabulous wealth, advanced civilisation and
natural beauty has spurred many adventurers to seek out its location.

One recent theory equates Atlantis with Spartel Island, a mud shoal in the
straits of Gibraltar that sank into the sea 11,000 years ago.

Plato described Atlantis as having a "plain". Dr Kuehne said this might be
the plain that extends today from Spain's southern coast up to the city of
Seville. The high mountains described by the Greek scholar could be the
Sierra Morena and Sierra Nevada.

"Plato also wrote that Atlantis is rich in copper and other metals. Copper
is found in abundance in the mines of the Sierra Morena," Dr Kuehne explained.

This dating would equate the city and society of Atlantis with either the
Iron Age Tartessos culture of southern Spain or another, unknown, Bronze
Age culture. A link between Atlantis and Tartessos was first proposed in
the early 20th Century.

Dear Yair:

The USA is termed a "democratic republic" from everything that I have
studied.  We don't have mob rule as in a "pure democracy".  We elect people
to represent us that we believe will use good judgment and wisdom hopefully
in accordance with the majority's wishes.  Therefore (as you answered), a
democratic republic has REPRESENTATIVE government, which is within the exact
meaning of Manasseh.

David Hill wrote:

Law" which, in this case, would be our Constitution as
you pointed out in that article.  "Rule by People" or
representatives would be the defining characteristic
of a Democracy.

Personally, I did not understand the reasoning in this sentence.  I do not
see that the rule of law is so much the  differentiating characteristic
between the two, as I suppose a democracy would have the rule of law also.
The laws would just change with the whims of the ruling majority, whether
that law was wise, moral, etc.  That is often what we see in the US with the
ballot initiative process, that the people will vote for very strange
things based upon who has advertised and pandered to them (often in a very
deceptive manner).  It has become dangerous and insidious in many instances
in spite of its obvious positive benefits to help the people to have a
direct voice when their representatives are trampling upon their rights.
The people generally will not study and put in the effort to learn about the
issue, and therefore relying upon representatives who are qualified gives us
a better govt. than "mob rule" democracy.

What we have hoped for in a democratic republic is more stability, and
intelligent representation.  We won't comment on that, however!  :-)

Democratic Republics have been instituted all over the world especially in
this era - just do a word search on it on the internet.  The Congo, Czech
Republic, E. Germany, etc. etc.

Check out http://www.electionworld.org/ for example.

That alone is interesting in light of US influence all over the world, and
therefore Manasseh's influence and greatness being evidenced.  (Whatever one
believes about the correctness of our influence or even "meddling", the fact
remains the same that the USA has influenced the world in this area.  For
right or for wrong, HaShem has made it so).

[After all, Babylonian, Media/Persian, Greecian and Roman empires
accomplished the purposes of the Almighty, even if they were pagan.  I'm not
trying to judge US involvement, just stating a fact that we are influencing
the world in the area of representative government.  This would appear to be
a fulfillment of the role of Manasseh.]

3. Question: How Can One Be Sure of Israelite Descent?

On an individual level, You would not know. That is why there is a need for
Brit-Am.
Brit-Am can establish the probability that the Lost Ten Tribes were
concentrated in certain areas.
We can say that in specific regions a good proportion (maybe most) of the
populace were descended
from Israel.
We have the following factors:
a. Descendants of The Lost Ten Tribes were concentrated in certain areas
and therefore people who come from those regions may well be descended from
Israel.
b. Even if someone was not descended from Israel but lives in an Israelite
region and identifies with
those around him he would be considered part of Israel.
c. People who came from beyond the periphery of Israelite concentration but
moved
to Israelite significant areas may also be of Israelite descent.
d. People who instinctively identify as Israelites and feel a pull towards
this message are in effect
expressing an arousal of their ancestral calling that will be of import in
the End Times.
NEVERTHELESS, THIS IS NOT ENOUGH!
Researches along the lines that Brit-Am has embarked upon are also required.
e. We do not know what the Messianic Era will bring with it or exactly how
things will turn out.
There are however sources that indicate (1) a renewal of the Covenant in
which ALL present will
be accepted as part of Israel and obligated as such,
(2) The Messiah will confirm to each individual what particular tribe
he/she belongs to.
f. PATRIOTISM: One cannot always be sure of many things but one acts
according to the situation one finds
oneself in.
Even if someone who lives amongst people of Israelite descent but by some
freak chance of circumstance is not descended from Israelites the person
concerned is placed there for a reason by Divine Providence.
They have an obligation to identify with Israel and to do what they can for
those around them achieve the same
awareness.
The Bible speaks mostly of Israel and according to the Bible the good of
Israel is the good of the world.
It helps to know the identity of all Israel.

Answer:
We said:
Ezekiel (11:18) says that first the exiles will return to the Land of
Israel and after that they shall put away their idols and keep the Law
(11:2). Ezekiel says that Judah has an obligation to help the Lost Ten
Tribes return. The complete return of Judah is dependent upon the return of
"Samaria" (16:53, 55, 61) meaning the Ten Tribes especially Manasseh.
Manasseh today is mainly the USA. God will renew His covenant with Judah
and with Israel (16:62).

It should have been: Ez. 11:20
[Ezekiel 11:20] THAT THEY MAY WALK IN MY STATUTES, AND KEEP MINE
ORDINANCES, AND DO THEM: AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.
The bottom line is that in order to return and dwell in the Land of Israel
all the statutes, ordinances, and commandments must be kept.
And the falling sentence:

is referring to Ezekiel  16:53, 55, 61

[Ezekiel 16:55] WHEN THY SISTERS, SODOM AND HER DAUGHTERS, SHALL RETURN TO
THEIR FORMER ESTATE, AND SAMARIA AND HER DAUGHTERS SHALL RETURN TO THEIR
FORMER ESTATE, THEN THOU AND THY DAUGHTERS SHALL RETURN TO YOUR FORMER
ESTATE.  UNTIL NOW THEY ARE STILL OVERTURNED AND HAVE NOT RETURNED UNTO
THEIR FORMER STATE.
             This is a message for Judah: In order for Judah to realize
herself and to bring back all her exiles and rehabilitate herself Judah
must also seek the Lost Ten Tribes and cause them to return! This is
important to Judah for her own sake! It is also hinting that rehabilitation
of the Land itself is somehow connected with the return of the Lost Ten
Tribes. See our Commentary on Isaiah 56:8 and Hosea chapter six, where we
have explained that according to prophecy: part of Judah would return to
the Land and begin to build it up. Then the Lost Ten Tribes would return in
two stages together with the remnant of Judah. The first part of this
process is well on its way.
<<SODOM AND HER DAUGHTERS, SHALL RETURN TO THEIR FORMER ESTATE, AND SAMARIA
AND HER DAUGHTERS SHALL RETURN TO THEIR FORMER ESTATE>>: Malbim:
[addressing Judah] "For they [the Lost Tribes] shall be the most important
section in the returning and you subservient to them, and you shall return
through them".
Abarbanel: "There is no doubt that this promised ingathering will occur in
the Times of the Messiah. Until now it has never been
fulfilled".
The complete return of Judah is dependent upon the return of "Samaria"
(16:53, 55, 61) meaning the Ten Tribes especially Manasseh. Manasseh today
is mainly the USA.
Ezekiel (37:15-28) saw the return of the Ten Tribes as an indispensable
requirement for the deliverance of Israel and Judah.

5. LANGUAGE: STOP
The other day I was travelling in a Taxi and I asked the driver to stop
at the end (Hebrew: Be-Sof) of the street. I was mumbling (as I sometimes do)
and the driver thought I was speaking in English and had said "STOP!"
"Stop" means "make an end". In Hebrew "end" is "sof". This is a noun but
there must have been a
verbal form since all Hebrew words are based on the verb.
There is no real word in Hebrew meaning "stop" only words with similar
meanings in effect.
A reflexive imperative of the Hebrew "sof" in vowel form would be "stop".
Our knowledge of Hebrew is based on the Bible, Rabbinical writings, and
other sources. There were probably words in Hebrew used by the Ancient
Israelites
that have been lost.
Maybe "STOP" is one of them?
Brit-Am wants you to "stop" doing anything that you should not.
Brit-Am is in need of your support, now.
Incidentally "now" is also of Hebrew origin and is given in the Bible as "na"
or Possibly "naw".
"Brit-Am Now" is the answer and the request.
