Answer:
Shalom,
The Lost Ten Tribes split up into different groupings and then moved
from
one area to another eventually
re-coalescing into different national groups that made their mark in
world
history.
We believe that amongst certain nations the Israelites found their
expression
and left their imprint. In such cases they were dominant qualitatively
and
probably also numerically.
In other places members of the Lost Ten Tribes were not so dominant
but rather subservient to non-Israelite elements.
Over the course of time Israelites in regions were they were not
determinative left such regions and moved
to "Israelite" areas. This happened very often in great waves of
migrations
but also occurred in trickles and in some ways is still
going on in our time.
We concentrate in our studies on countries in which the Israelites
were
and are dominant according to criteria that have proven themselves.
This is justified by the Bible.
The standards we apply include:
1. Blessings: Economic and Physical Blessings as promised to Israel in
Scripture.
2. Indications of Scripture: Biblical Evidence predicting whereto the
Lost
Ten Tribes would go, what type of religion and government they would
have,
etc.
3. Groundwork: Historical, Archaeological, and Related Proofs showing
paths
of migration.
4. Judah: This entails proven feelings of kinship and sympathy with the
Jews and a Relative Lack of Anti-Semitism when compared with others.
5. Originality: Innovation and Intellect: A minimal degree of national
Intellectual Wisdom and Honesty.
6. Bravery: Proven Military Prowess in the past at least and at present
in
potential
7. Empathy: The Doing of Social Justice.
Poland and Prussia historically did not meet all of the above criteria
though many people of Israelite descent were to be found at one stage
amongst them
and these mostly have since moved over into "Israelite" areas.
For more on migrants, etc

Answer:
Tina Shalom,
You asked
"where does that leave the rest of us?"
meaning all those from non-Israelite countries according to Brit-Am
definitions.
First of all in most cases the "Us" asking such a question are not
people
in the countries spoken of
but rather descendants of migrants from such nations NOW living in the
USA,
Australia, or some such other
"Israelite" nation according to Brit-Am definitions.
In our work "Joseph" (and also to some degree in "The Tribes") we show
Israelites were in effect scattered all over the world
especially in Europe but they later converged into certain areas. Even
so
they must have left "pockets" of Israelites behind them
that ever since have been joining themselves anew to the major
Israelite
bodies. In "Joseph" we show how migrants to "Israelite" countries were
often different
from those who stay behind even according to conventional criteria.
Our emphasis on "anglo" and related nations is not so much because I
personally come from such a place (though this too
must have a reason) but rather because such nations most completely
fulfill
Biblical and other criteria.
Concerning Italy, in 'The Tribes" it is pointed out that a LOT of Jews
and
Israelites settled in Italy
and that in some areas elements from Levi and Simeon were especially
prominent. Italy on the whole however is not considered an
"Israelite" country since the Hebrew element was not overwhelmingly
dominant there.
I cannot help you with the individual surnames. I can say that if you
feel
"Israelite", and live in an "Israelite" nation that you identify with
then
you probably
are of Israelite or Jewish origin. Even if you are not (which is
unlikely)
if you have such feeling then in our days it must be because the
Almighty
has decided that you belong.
None of us can be absolutely certain of anything but there is a
"purpose
being worked out here below"
and the arousal of Brit-Am identification instinct is part of it.
We do what we can according to our understanding and that is what we
are
required to do.
4. Black Irish from Spanish?
From: Athol Bloomer <atholbloomer13@hotmail.com>
Subject: RE: Black Irish
In American literature about the Black Irish I keep reading that this
is an
American term however Australians have also used the term the "Black
Irish"
for those Irish who had black hair with white skin. Such families in
Australia usually have a legend of descent from a Spanish sailor. It is
obvious that this term was known among the Irish in the 19th century
before
they went to America and Australia.
Cheers Athol
Brit-Am Comment: Some Irish may be descended from Spanish sailors BUT
in my
opinion this is mainly the equivalent of an "Urban Legend".
Dark types were and are found throughout the British Isles. In Scotland
there is a tall type ( probably the tallest type in Europe, according
to
W.Z. Ripley,
("The Races of Europe,"London 1899) with black hair and blue eyes; in
Wales
Cornwall and neighboring areas smaller types of darkish complexion are
quite common
and for that matter are found throughout the British isles and always
were
so why not also in Ireland?
I was once on the "Albion" e-mail discussion list (does it still
exist?)
and there was a long thread on this subject in which numerous
legends were quoted concerning various hordes of dark people that
allegedly
invaded Britain at some time or other.
Some of these legends appeared to have some historical basis.
I had most of these legends and traditions saved to files that
unfortunately were later accidentally deleted.

Answers:
a. No Tribe is superior to any other but each tribe has its own unique
task
and qualities
and we are all justified in being proud in whatever tribe we think we
belong to.
I personally strongly believe I belong to Judah but various criteria
produced other possibilities including
Joseph, Levi, Simeon, and Dan.
b. Descendants of Irish kings are very important in the USA. There must
be
a reason for this.
Brit-Am does what it has to do to the best of its ability. We do not
have
the answers to
a lot of questions nor we necessarily need to.
c. Regarding: "a Jewish descendant of King David waiting
>in the wings, who you believe is the rightful heir to the throne?"
There are a lot of Jewish people who believe they are descended from
David
and many of them may well be.
Descendants of David are also to be found amongst the Lost Ten Tribes.
I
believe that the future Messiah
will come from a descendant of David whose family has remained in
Judah.
There are sources for this,
but who knows? This not something that Brit-Am emphasizes or dwells
upon.
d. Do you have another Stone of Destiny, besides the Scots one?
Claims like this have been put forward. My guess is as good as another
but sentimentally I would incline to believe in the Stone of Scone.
e. I understand that blood types and other physical features often
reflect
the areas people sojourned in.
That is why DNA is preferred nowadays in ethnic studies since it
reflects
ancestry more than environment
though here too do not be surprised when new studies begin to say
otherwise.
Help Spread this message:
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
According to the Bible ten out of the twelve tribes of Israel split
away (1-Kings 12:19), formed their own kingdom of "Israel" (1-Kings
12:20),
and were exiled by the Assyrians (2-Kings 17:18) . They forget their
identity (Hosea 1:9 7:8 Isaiah 49:21) and became the Lost Ten Tribes.
In
the future they will re-unite with the Jews (Ezekiel 37, Isaiah 11:13
Jeremiah 3:18) of "Judah" but until then they have a role of their own
to
fulfill. They were destined to be situated at the continental
extremities
of the earth such as North America, the British Isles, Scandinavia, the
Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa (Deuteronomy
33:13
Isaiah 24:16 26:15 41:8-9 49:6), to be the richest (Genesis 27:28
49:25
Deuteronomy 33:13-16 Hosea 2:8), and most powerful (Numbers 24:8-7
Micah
5:7-9) nations on earth and to control major international strategic
bases
(Genesis 22:16-17 24:60). All of these points together with numerous
others
show that descendants of the Lost Ten Tribes can only be found amongst
Western Nations especially the English-speaking ones. The correctness
of
our interpretation of the relevant verses is confirmed by traditional
Jewish sources and by the findings of up-to-date historical and
scientific
research. Your destiny may depend upon this information. You need to
