This would be fantastic - a rather condensed summary of the tribes
including what William Rasmussen has listed above would be very helpful.
Thank you Yair,

2. Need to Answer Critics
From: mike.duttera@j...
Subject: feedback

I think you ought to post on the web sites a thorough answer to common
criticisms of your ideas. There's a few articles out on the web by
"mainstream Christians", some by evangelical "celebrities" like Missler
etc. that share common flaws in their reasoning and out and out
misrepresentations of the facts. Much of it is aimed at the Armstrong
WCOG presentations of theories on the Lost tribes, but since you and they
seem IMO to be in agreement on many things wrt the lost tribes, such is
aimed at you as well. A full formal article answering the common
criticisms would be a good idea IMHO. I could forward ya some critical
articles thrown at me when I've brought up the lost tribes on prophecy
lists, besides the screed I sent ya a couple weeks ago, if you'd like.
Those I've bothered to save anyway. ;-)
Your ally,
Mike

3. Questions:
From: Drsyke@a...
Yair
Kesiva Vachatima tova

I received the books and i am reading them with alacrity
The books remind me that the subject of history can be as complicated as
the hard sciences, especially in keeping "cheshbone" of all the roots
funneling into all the branches
thereofre i hope that you take any comments i have with the humblest of
origins, and understand they are being queried out of genuine curiosity and
thrist for knowledge, as well as out of a clear ignorance of historical detail
1) in today's haftora, of the second day of rosh hashana, there is a
sentence which the prophet describes as the eventual welcoming back of
Ephraim into the Land by Judah, basically saying where have you been all
these years and where were you when we were getting our butts kicked
throughout the centuries(pardon the vernacular)--Radak is quoted in the
artscroll machzor(i believe if memory serves) as saying that the 10 lost
tribes will be joyous in returning "after their long and agonizing
exile"---now one could understand this in historical light if say we were
talking about a people like the american indian or another persecuted
minority--but how are we to understand this in light of lost tribes being
associated with Lands and countries of their own, with enormous wealth and
prosperity and power----that would not be considered an exile by the above
standards or surely not by Judah's standards?

2) in your book Ephraim, the chapter on Kedar is a bit confusing to me for
inthere you speak about the hints at the exiled tribes to North America,
beyond the great ocean--now of course that then begs the question of the
american indian--which you then write about as being mixtures of
asian/mongolian and ishmaelite stock---but part of that discussion was hard
for me to follow, for there were passages that described Naphtalite tribal
interaction with the american indian forerunners in urals etc... and to me,
it seemd like the only argument you were making that the groups taking off
on boats to america to become the indians were non-israelite were because
they were subdued by the naphtalites before the naphtalites moved
westward---but here is my stretch----you admit to amerindian group
names--like Haida and Dene are traceable to naphtalite tribal names-- why
is it more of a leap to say that the tribes themselves migrated to north
america as the indians than to say in your book---that t Thanks , always

Answers from Yair Davidiy:
1) By "Haftorah" you mean the portion from the Prophets read weekly in the
Synagogue.
You are referring to Isaiah 49 discussed in chapter four of Ephraim.
[Isaiah 49:20] THE CHILDREN WHICH THOU SHALT HAVE, AFTER THOU HAST LOST THE
OTHER, SHALL SAY AGAIN IN THINE EARS, THE PLACE IS TOO STRAIT FOR ME: GIVE
PLACE TO ME THAT I MAY DWELL.

[Isaiah 49:21] THEN SHALT THOU SAY IN THINE HEART, WHO HATH BEGOTTEN ME
THESE, SEEING I HAVE LOST MY CHILDREN, AND AM DESOLATE, A CAPTIVE, AND
REMOVING TO AND FRO? AND WHO HATH BROUGHT UP THESE? BEHOLD, I WAS LEFT
ALONE; THESE, WHERE HAD THEY BEEN?

[Isaiah 49:22] THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD, BEHOLD, I WILL LIFT UP MINE HAND
TO THE GENTILES, AND SET UP MY STANDARD TO THE PEOPLE: AND THEY SHALL BRING
THY SONS IN THEIR ARMS, AND THY DAUGHTERS SHALL BE CARRIED UPON THEIR
SHOULDERS.
If you have been following our Biblical Commentary you will have seen that
the Lost Ten Tribes in their places of exile will have been on the whole
wealthy, healthy, and powerful. This is what the Prophets emphasize over
and over. Even the very questions that Isaiah quotes Judah as
asking (i.e. Where were these? Why did they not help us? Why were we
alone?) presupposes an ability to have helped. The Radak may be referring
to the initial stages of exile or to trouble in the end times. The Radak
was a great commentator and I believe he was inspired to a degree
but no more than that. Other commentators disagree with the Radak.
Commentary is not Scripture and does not have to be accepted if it
contradicts our understanding of the Bible.

2) The point on Kedar was a suggestion on my part. Historically peoples in
Central Asia NEARLY ALWAYS (or so it seems according to the history books)
ended up bearing the name of another people. They would conquer someone
else, be conquered by them, join up with part of them, accept refugees from
their nobility, move into areas they had previously inhabited, or what not
and subsequently change their names and be identified with them. Peoples
from Central Asia did move to North America.
Regarding the North American Indians we believe that Hebrews may have
intermixed with some of them but that most of them
belonged to other stock. Biblically there exist criteria concerning the
Lost Ten Tribes as a group and only certain peoples met them.
This is discussed in the first chapter of Ephraim.

4. Throne of David
From: Yahn Investments <yahn.crew@s...>
New Jersey
Subject: Re: Ezekiel 17 To: Yair Davidiy <britam@n...>
This is speaking of the transfer from one branch of the line of David to
another, now residing in the British Isles.to preserve the throne of David
and fulfill God's covenant that David would never lack for a descendant
ruling over Israel..Messiah will ascend an existing throne upon his
return..the tender twig a daughter...very possibly within Jeremiah's
commission as I recall..your research if far above mine I am sure.. but this
seems to fit..

Comment by Yair: I disagree. My impression is that the Messiah will emerge
from amongst those
who are recognized as Jews. Whatever the case, I hope he comes soon.

5. Edom amongst Israel?
From: Rusty
Subject: Edom in Israelite nations North America etc. What do prophets say to

Considering many Edomites and Ishmaelite descendants live in Israelite
nations. Britain, Canada, America, Australia, etc. I am curious to hear
what your knowledge is of scripture regarding what we of Israelite descent
can expect in the near future from the Edomites and Ishmaelites living
amongst us in the nations Israel has founded. Will they be friend or foe?
One might expect to have some enemies from these nations of Esau and
Ishmael living amongst Israelite nations like individuals or small groups.
Which in fact we already have disgruntled Edomites and Ishmaelites in our
nations with hate organisations? However my question is about on the
majority of Ishmaelites and Edomites populations in Israelite nations will
they be a threat and cause despair. And if they will cause despair why do
Ishmaelites and Edomites seem to relish chaos and darkness. Both these dark
nations have had a continual past of upheaval, repression and a lust for war.

Answer by Yair Davidiy: The impression from Scripture and the sages is that
Ishmael and Edom will be external powers that threaten us. Those inside of
us can belong to us.
We are forbidden to despise an Egyptian or an Edomite and in the third
generation of their settling amongst us we must accept them
as one with us (Deuteronomy 23:7-8).
It may however be that if we do not repent that the strangers amongst us
will rise up above us and oppress us (Deuteronomy 28:43).

5. Question on New Year
From: "Robert H. Graves" <rhg2@e...>
Subject: Re: "Brit-Am Now"-87: New Year
Just a question...not a criticism..
If, as you write, Lev. 23:24 says that the lst day of the 7th month (Tishri)
is the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh HaShana) why is it a 2 day celebration? When
or where in the Torah did Adonai change it?
Robert H. Graves

Answer by Yair Davidiy in Brief: Please note in principle I do not discuss
religious matters outside of the Brit-Am theme.
I do not defend the Talmud or teach Judaism. I am not. qualified for this,
it is not my mission in life, and in the past I have been misunderstood and
misquoted.
In brief however, the sages had authority to determine the calendar.
Whereas what day was the Seventh day was determined at creation, what day
was New Year's Day was in their power to determine. They did not make
the Feast of Trumpets two days from scripture but rather one day from
Scripture and one day from them. At the beginning they determined the dates
from a combination of astronomical calculations and direct observations.
Messages were conveyed by
fire-beacons, and by horseback riders, and foot-sloggers. It could take
more than two days for a message to reach faraway areas.
People in distant regions would not know until it was too late when the New
Year Day took place. They could know however in advance through
astronomical calculation that it must fall on one of two days. It was
therefore decided that the feast would be celebrated everywhere on both
days. Retroactively they would thus be celebrating one day from Scripture
and one day from the sages acting through the authority of Scripture
(Deuteronomy 17:10-11). Due to persecution and trouble it became impossible
to receive reliable witnesses
concerning the New moon, make the necessary correct decisions, and relay
the information. The dates were therefore henceforth determined in advance
by Calendar until the Messiah will come and once again the New moon will be
determined by eye-witnesses. In the meantime, it was decided to continue
celebrating the Festival of Trumpets for two days. On a mystical plane it
was understood that the two days were like one long one.
If you are more confused now than you were a minute ago I do not blame you.

[Hosea 8:11] BECAUSE EPHRAIM HATH MADE MANY ALTARS TO SIN, ALTARS SHALL BE
UNTO HIM TO SIN.

[Hosea 8:12] I HAVE WRITTEN TO HIM THE GREAT THINGS OF MY LAW, BUT THEY
WERE COUNTED AS A STRANGE THING.

Isaiah 62:6,7 TANAKH
Upon your walls, O Jerusalem,
I have set watchmen,
Who shall never be silent
By day or by night.
O you, the LORD'S remembrancers,
Take no rest
And give no rest to Him,
Until He establish Jerusalem
And make her renowned on earth.

7. Jenn Woodward: Encouragement

Thank you for your efforts... they are a blessing to many including myself.

In day to day life it is often a challenge to clarify the common ground we
Christians and Jews share when the majority of individuals are so focused
on our differences.

Much of my personal study is focused on the common ground... I truely
believe in the Brit-Am statement: "There is a need for the present-day
"Jews" of Judah, and the Lost Ten Tribes, to recognize each other and to
work towards re-unification and reconciliation..."

My message to you is one of encouragement. Although there are many who
continue to focus on the differences, there is a growing movement of those
who desire to come together.

The writing below is dedicated to those who are trying to look beyond their
differences.

May your Rosh Hashanah be meaningful and inspiring!
