Yair,
While I accept that doubtless there are layers of meaning in Scripture that go far deeper than my understanding, the plain text of Genesis states that God made everything, including the animals. This isn't irrelevant because it goes to the veracity of Scripture. If it can be discredited in one point, then it is in all.

The fossil record shows no signs of the virtually infinite number of transitional forms that evolution requires (the paleontologists know this), and the complexity of living things defies even a hypothetical evolutionary scenario.

Thank you for this portion. Many of us in the USA long for the day when the entire Temple Mount and all the land of Israel will be under the exclusive control of the Jews and free from those who think they can destroy the Lord's witness.

3. Questions on the Names of God.

We had two queries about the names of God.
[Things like this often happen: Two or more entirely different unconnected people spring on us the same type of question out of nowhere. After that years may pass before we get asked a similar thing again. ]
Elohim according to the context means God, or god, or they who have the power, or great men or judges.

It depends on the context.

"El" in Hebrew connotes power and/or divinity. The name "Elohim" is derived from the root "El" or "Elohe" meaning Divinity.

In the Bible there are several names for God.

The most common is the tetragammaton (four-letter name i.e. YHVH) usually translated as "LORD".
And "Elohim" usually translated as "God".

[Genesis 1:1] In the beginning God [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth.

It is worth mentioning that we relate to Hebrew terminology as translations from our own language.
This usually works and is accurate enough but not always sufficient.

"Elohe" is God.
"Elohim" could be considered as "gods" and sometimes it is so translated, e.g.
"make no mention of the name of other gods [Elohim]" [Exodus 23:13].

Nevertheless "Elohim" is not necessarily plural. It may ALSO connote a plurality within, or possessed by, the subject.
"Elohim" may therefore connote "He who has all powers of divinity".
"Elohim" may also mean "mighty men" e.g.

Genesis 6:
1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God [Elohim] saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose....
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God [Elohim] came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men [Hebrew: "Giborim" i.e. heroes] who were of old, men of renown.

Here "Elohim" is translated as "God" but it could also mean "Mighty Men".
The Mighty Men of old took wives from the daughters of ordinary people.
From these unions emerged the famous "heroes" of ancient times.

Sometimes "Elohim" means "Judges" e.g.
[Exodus 22:8] If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges [Elohim] to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor's goods.

Religious Jews pronounce "Elohim" as it is written when reading from the Bible or from a religious book.
In public places however or in everyday speech it is considered disrespectful to say it as written.
They will therefore say "Elokim" or some other expression meaning God.
So too, the Tetragammaton is not pronounced but in everyday speech will be referred to as "HaShem" meaning "The Name".

4. Brian Sandridge: Glenn Beck will talk in Jerusalem to Lost Israelites of Joseph!

I am writing to everyone I know of who has prophetic knowledge of the identity of Ephraim and his associated tribes (of Ezekiel 37:15). Glenn Beck blew my mind last night by announcing a rerun of 8/23/1o that was in Washington, this August in Jerusalem. I have been watching Beck move closer and closer to enunciating a recognition of the congruency of America and Israel. Though he is surely not there yet, his mobilization of many Americans to visit Jerusalem in support of Israel this August will result in a large number, I hope. These folks who will be so inclined, and dedicated to the State Of Israel will be composed of a high percentage of Lost Israelites of Joseph. I am hoping to make connections with all of the various people who have had their eyes opened to the identity of Greater Israel and take this opportunity to make the case in a credible way.

Since I myself consider one of that lineage, I would like to ask you one question that I think you can answer it in detail. I also would like to ask you this, since I'm not that certain of this matter and wish to be clearly understand who I am.
The question that I want you to answer me is that if you know any information about the Tribe of Dan, can you give me any clue whatsoever and explain to me as far as you know currently about Danites?

I keep hearing recently that my family came from Israel to South Korea long time ago and I myself think so too; however, I want to ask this to more clarify the truth. Based upon my historical knowledge, it is just a vague idea still that quite many Danite descendants are living in today's Korean society. I'll really appreciate your opinion on this and look forward to hearing from you asap.

I too sometimes think I may be from the tribe of Dan but cannot say.
We found your letter interesting and were pleased to receive it.
Nevertheless,
We at Brit-Am specialize in tracing Lost Israelite Tribes who reached the west.
We recognize the possibility that small numbers of Jews and other Israelites may still be found in eastern nations but this is not our field of interest.
There are several other organizations that are dedicated to the idea that the Ten Tribes are to be found amongst eastern peoples.
One of these is Shvut-Ami.
They seem to have a generous budget, office facilities, and a full-time staff.
Someone there should be able to help you.
If not, there are other organizations and activists along the same lines.

You mention "Rahab the whore" in your remarks below. I have recently been made aware that it is probable she was an inn-keeper on the wall near the entrance gate, and may not have been a harlot after all. The spies did stay there, which would seem to support the "inn-keeper" idea.
I have tried to verify this, but have been unable. Have you ever heard this, and if so, have you found any information that would support this?

The story of Rahab is found in the Book of Joshua ch.2.

The expression "Rahab the whore" is translated from the Hebrew "Rachav Ha-Zonah".
Rachav is the Modern Hebrew for "Rahab".
It means "expanse, widening, enlargement". Perhaps it has other meanings.
The expression "Rahab the whore" is found in Joshua 1:2 translated as "a harlot named Rahab".
She was the owner of an inn.
The Israelite spies did not go to her house for sex but rather for lodgement and to acquire information.
The Commentary "Mishbatsot Zahav" says that on a spiritual level the power of the Canaanites lay in the attraction of their sexual license.
By inducing Rahab to repent and come over to the Israelite side the forces of evil were weakened and Israel gained.
Rahab herself bore witness that through her own powers of inducement she had come to realize that the only true deity was the God of Israel and that the Israelites were the Chosen people (Joshua 2:9-13).

The term "Zonah" in Hebrew means prostitute, harlot, whore.
it comes from the root "ZNH". The English word "sin" derives from the same source.
"Zonah" does not necessarily mean only a female practitioner of sexual immorality. It can also mean a sinner in general.
Nevertheless it is used in this context as whore or prostitute, cf.

[Leviticus 21:7] They shall not take a wife who is a harlot [Hebrew: "zonah"] or a defiled woman, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband; for the priest is holy to his God.

There exists another word-root giving the words "zoneh, zon, mazon" from the root "ZON" connoting "food, feed".
According to this "Rachav Ha-Zonah" means "Rahab who sells food" i.e. an innkeeper.
This is the explanation of one Midrash and the Commentators Targum Yehonatan and Rashi.
Most of the Sages however understood "Rachav Ha-Zoneh" to mean "Rahab the professional whore".
There are also Commentators (e.g. Rashi, Abarbanel) who accepted both solutions i.e.
Rahab was a woman of fortune who also kept an inn.

We are not in the habit of finding excuses for malfeasants.
Even so, sociological studies show that a very significant percentage of prostitutes were the victims of incest.
Everyone is responsible for their own lives.
We do not have to go round trying to help those who do not want it.
"The Law is blind" and so is social lore.
On the other hand,
God knows what HE is doing.
If HE chose to save Rahab and from her lineage bring forth good people and Prophets, it is HIS call to make.

[Deuteronomy 29:
29 The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Please don't publish this unless you think it is worth considering.   I like the cover with the old parchment script (no. 22, 23?) because it is the Scriptures that give us the clues as to how to find them. I would take the names of the nations off because that is like tell the ending at the beginning. The back cover could be the list of nations with the flower. Continuing with the front cover, center the words and have them all Gold or the two bottom words "identify and your name." in a darker gold. This way the coloring does not clash with the color of the ancient script.

I am looking forward to getting this book. I am still thinking about a museum for educating about the dispersal and return of the tribes.
