Dear Yair,
In today's posting item No. 2. had no hyperlink to help anyone read anything beyond the selected extracts you did provide regarding the " New Article: Notes About Joseph." If this was an oversight perhaps you could rectify it on your next Brit-Am newsletter, which I welcome reading at every posting. Just to let you know I have pre-publication ordered and eagerly await as they become available two copies of the 4th Edition of 'The Tribes' (though I already posess an earlier edition).

Thanks for bringing this oversight to our attention. We write the articles so that people might read them. Without your telling us of this mistake quite a few others would not have been able to read the article.
There is however a new Daily Dairy posted at the top right hand side of our site and this also gives all new links and updates.

2. Query Concerning Mennonites and Amish.

I just received your newsletter #1805. I was impressed with the idea of Mennonites and Amish being of Israelite descent. I am a conservative Mennonite and grew up in Pennsylvania. My ancestors were from Switzerland, Germany and possibly Holland. Do you have any more information or resources on the Amish and Mennonite ancestry and origins, especially relating to Israelite ancestry. I have read some of Steven Collins works and am very fascinated with this subject, but many Amish and Mennonites are not interested, in fact, laugh at people like myself who suggest that we may have Israelite heritage.

From the little I understand the Mennonites and Amish are members of a Protestant Anabaptist-type Religion.
The Amish are an offshoot of the Mennonites.
Today many people from different races belong to Mennonite churches.
The original groups came from the Netherlands, and the German areas bordering Holland.
There was also an input from places like Switzerland.
There are Mennonite groups in North and South America.
Some of those in South America are anti-Jewish. I would look at the possibility that these have different origins from the others.
I would suggest that you acquire our work The Tribes and apply the information and principles explained there to whatever Mennonite groups you are interested in.
Do not be put off by people laughing at you. That is the price of knowing the truth. On the other hand there is no need to needlessly irritate or antagonize others.
I myself let my views be know. I sell or give books to those who are interested. I do not however talk about the issue in the company of those who are not interested.
I am not sure that time is ripe to aggressively asset our truths. At present we are content with spreading the knowledge to those who wish to know about it.
As for being laughed at, a Biblical precedent exists:
[2-Chronicles 30:10] SO THE POSTS PASSED FROM CITY TO CITY THROUGH THE COUNTRY OF EPHRAIM AND MANASSEH EVEN UNTO ZEBULUN: BUT THEY LAUGHED THEM TO SCORN, AND MOCKED THEM.

Thanks for getting in touch. You are a valued subscriber of ours and even something of a personal friend of mine due to our brief meeting in the past and your occasional messages since.
Your e-mail address was not listed.
I can think of two possibilities as to what happened:
(a) Some time ago we had a Computer Problem in which a lot of information was lost.
We reconstructed our list from an old and outdated backup file. Perhaps your e-mail had slipped off?
(b) Overseas (i.e. outside of Israel) servers are sometimes idiosyncratic. For no apparent reason they are liable to stop forwarding our mail.
Sometimes this unexpected reticence is only temporary and after a while they accept us again.
At other times it lasts longer.
Periodically we vet our list and those e-mail addresses that are not succeeding are culled.
If in the future you feel you are not getting our mail and want to know whether or not we still function please go to our web-site.
There is a link on the top right-hand corner to a DIARY of Daily Activity, i.e. of what posts and articles, if any, have been put out.
This is a relatively new feature.
Anyway it is good to have you back
(or rather to be back with you)
