1. Brit-Am Update and Appeal (10 Shevet 5772). Expression of identification and gratitude for what Brit-Am does are gratifying. They boost our morale and uplift us. They do not however pay the bills though indirectly they may help. Despite a great deal of support and appreciation Brit-Am receives there is also some opposition and contention against us. We may speak of this later or simply ignore it. First of all Brit-Am is supported. We are not sure but we would venture to suppose that we are the only group believing the Ten Tribes are in western regions that is entirely supported by public donations. [British Israel in Britain no longer dedicates itself entirely to the Identity message and also lives by virtue of benefactors from previous generations. All the others have additional sources of income and are usually subsidized by different churches. There is noting wrong with this in itself but it is worth noting. If some group or individual would offer us support without attaching unrighteous conditions we would also consider accepting it. For the time being we are entirely independent from other bodies BUT this means we are dependent on our readers and sympathizers. ] Relatively speaking we are very small but active within our limited sphere. We have an effect and on the whole we get by. All things considered overall we maintained ourselves and kept going through the grace of God and the offerings and purchases of our supporters and sympathizers. We are now in serious need of additional funds. Even though they who help us do so because they recognize the value of our work and wish us to continue and grow there is also the fact that: Anyone who helps us will be blessed from on High. [We have been criticized for making such statements but that is the truth. If we did not believe it we would not say it. This blessing may show itself materially or otherwise but it will be there.] We have several projects in progress. Chances are we will be able to help prove that the Ten Tribes are amongst Western People with even more certainty. This work is vital and vitalizing. It gives life and hope and spreads the truth. It is important and worthwhile. Please help Brit-Am. 2. Jay Tompkins: The Term "Jew" is a Compliment! Shalom Yair: As for calling Israelites of the 10 tribes as Jews, to me this is a compliment. The books of Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy focus on "Jewish laws", Moses was a Levite as well as Aaron, considered as Jews. As long as the ten tribes obeyed Moses, Aaron and Miriam, the people of the ten tribes were considered as Jews. As I understand, this is a fairly recent interpretation from the middle ages or later. As for me, this is also a very recent understanding. Jay Tompkins 3. New Article. They thus helped fulfill the prophecy about both Houses taking part in the reconquest of the land. 5. Query from the Netherlands and the Loneliness of Our Message. Shalom Yair (and of course all the others), ...Your e-mails are still coming to me end I do like them. Sometimes the issues are more interesting than others. Although I know that there other people in this world who do believe that you're right its often quite lonesome in this case. Just a time ago I spoke to man in my church who organise evenings where a rebbe does speak about Jews and church. He was "interested" in Brit-Am, but the first thing he said we've not so much mony. My question is are there any Jews in the Netherlands who also think and beleve as you do? I like to talk to them/him if possible and does he want to speak before a groep of Israel interesting people? Maybe a difficult question but maybe there is a possibility for more connections between you and others? E. The Netherlands Brit-Am Reply: Shalom, At present, Yair Davidiy cannot leave the Holy Land of Israel for legal reasons. [Also, how would the country cope with me? How would I cope without the country?] If however any individual or group is visiting in the Land of Israel especially in Jerusalem I am always happy to meet up with them for a cup of coffee and a chat. We also willingly give talks when requested and these have always been well received. That is the best we can do for the time being. This belief in the Israelite Origins of Western Peoples and their Offshoots has been around for a long time. Nevertheless a lot of the evidence is new. There is still a feeling of New Information and something Unusual about our beliefs in general. For Reasons of HIS OWN the Almighty has chosen each and every one of us to bear this message.
