Psalms 43

Psalms 43
[Psalms 43:1] JUDGE ME, O GOD, AND PLEAD MY CAUSE AGAINST AN UNGODLY NATION: O  DELIVER ME FROM THE DECEITFUL AND UNJUST MAN.
HaMairi says that this Psalm is a continuation of the previous Psalm 42 but is counted separately since it deals with a separate aspect.
Radak (Kimchi) says this Psalm gives a Prophetic expression to the feeling of the Jews in Exile. The future is the Outcome of the Present and sensitive spiritual souls can often intuit that which will come to pass. David had this instinct in addition to which he was imbued with the Spirit of Prophecy. David is exceptional in that at one stage he sinned most grievously yet both before and after the event he managed to reach great heights of Divine Inspiration. We learn from this that anyone can slip up and also that anyone can return and reach even greater heights than before.
<<THE DECEITFUL AND UNJUST MAN>>: Rulers and the oppressing nation in general. Radak says that the Jewish nation in exile will be saying that if the foreign people ruling over them were goodly then perhaps there could somehow be some justification for their continued subjection. But they are not. They are deceitful and unjust and do not fear God.
S.R. Hirsch says that the problem of Israel (especially Judah) in Exile is not just with the antagonism of wicked nations in general but also with specific individuals who set themselves against us
using reasons that are deceitful and unjust.
This applies to most of they who propound Conspiracy Theories. They have no real evidence of anything and are liers and deceivers, polluted minds who spread their pollution to others and cause harm to good people. It also applies to Liberals and Left-wingers who pervert the truth for the sake of their own egos.

[Psalms 43:2] FOR THOU ART THE GOD OF MY STRENGTH: WHY DOST THOU CAST ME OFF? WHY GO I  MOURNING BECAUSE OF THE OPPRESSION OF THE ENEMY?
"GOD OF MY STRENGTH": God gives strength. There are no real heroes or rather even heroes can be reduced to helplessness and even the helpless become mighty.

[Psalms 43:3] O SEND OUT THY LIGHT AND THY TRUTH: LET THEM LEAD ME; LET THEM BRING ME UNTO THY HOLY HILL, AND TO THY TABERNACLES.
"THY TRUTH": Knowing the truth is a source of strength and succor.

[Psalms 43:4] THEN WILL I GO UNTO THE ALTAR OF GOD, UNTO GOD MY EXCEEDING JOY: YEA,  UPON THE HARP WILL I PRAISE THEE, O GOD MY GOD.
The Temple will be rebuilt. The exile will be ingathered. The truth will be made known. The Revealed Presence of the Almighty will be felt amongst His people.
Just being able to pray and give thanks is a gift from the Almighty that not everyone merits to attain. We should appreciate this gift. It is a delight in itself and brings us much blessings.

[Psalms 43:5] WHY ART THOU CAST DOWN, O MY SOUL? AND WHY ART THOU DISQUIETED WITHIN ME? HOPE IN GOD: FOR I SHALL YET PRAISE HIM, WHO IS THE HEALTH OF MY COUNTENANCE, AND  MY GOD.
The distance between that which is and that which we know should be often seems unbridgeable but we should continue to obey and worship God as long as , and as much as, we can.
This is our source of strength.
