Brit-Am Commentary: Brit-Am uses what we call Ephraimite Criteria to determine which countries may be defined as Israelite. One of these criteria is Anti-Semitism i.e. the degree to which the said people are antipathetic or sympathetic towards the Jewish People. Nevertheless, Scripture and related sources indicates thatn they would be concentrated in certain areas and influence the destiny and characteristics of those regions. This is confirmed by history and demographic studies. Certain countries may be considered as mainly Israelite or at least Israelite to a significant degree and others not. Countries we define as Israelite include Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, England, Wales, Scotland, Ulster, Eire, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and also the Boers and British of South Africa. Not everyone in these nations may automatically be considered Israelite but many may well be. At all events, these are the nations where the Lost Ten Tribes are now to be found. The source below is of value to us since in effect it compares the rate of anti-Semitism in the Israelite nations of Great Britain (GB), France (F), Netherlands (NL), with the non-Israelite nations of Germany (indicated by "D" for Deutscheland), Italy (I), Hungary (HU), Portugal (PT), Poland (PL). The Netherlands was the least anti-Semitic followed by Britain, then France. Paradoxically both the British and the Dutch have a relatively strong negative image of the State of Israel. [Figures on this issue were not given for France.] Italy was somewhat worse overall than France but not overwhelmingly so. The other non-Israelite countries were all close to be negative though each nation contained many who were not and perhaps these may comprise a close majority under normal circumstances. The statistics may be misleading since in times of crisis reactions can differ. It is also worth emphasizing that ALL countries polled contained significant anti-Semitc (and presumably completely non-Israelite) elements with then.

Almost half of Polish and 69 percent of Hungarian respondents believe that Jews in their countries have too much influence, whereas at the other end of the scale only 14 percent in Great Britain and 6 percent in the Netherlands are of this opinion. The same is found for statements 8 and 9, which attribute avarice and egotism to Jews. Here again we find the strongest agreement in Poland and Hungary - although more than half of Portuguese respondents also agree with these statements - and the least agreement in the Netherlands and Great Britain where about one fifth judge Jews to be profitseeking and self-interested. In all surveyed countries, however, a majority agrees with the statement that Jews are an enrichment for their culture.
