Introduction. The British Isles were populated by peoples who to a significant degree
were descended from Israelites.
Amongst those Israelites who settled in Britain we were able to identify several
that are associated with specific Israelite Tribes.
For example:
Caledonians from Gilead of Manasseh.
Dan and Don (of Ireland, Scotland, Wales) from Dan.
Parissi (of Yorkshire) from Peresh of Machir of Manasseh.
Simeni from Simeon.
Iceni from Yacin of Simeon (English east coast).
and many more.

Elements from the Tribes of Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh) were predominant in
the British Isles.
Several nations emerged from British Populations. Such countries include the
USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, as well as numerous elements that were
important elsewhere such as South Africa, Jamaica, etc.
Joseph had been divided into two Tribes, Ephraim and Manasseh.
It is agreed upon that the USA and Britain are separate nations.
It is also accepted that in general the other nations who came out of Britain
(Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc) are closer to Britain than they are to the
USA. This is reflected in their being members of the British Commonwealth, their
historical connections with Britain, their history of being automatically allied
with Britain in every major war (up till now), and other aspects of their
national characters.
Since Joseph was divided into separate tribes and since Prophecy indicates that
they should be distinct from each other it is logical that
the division between Ephraim and Manasseh is reflected in the distinction
between Britain and the USA.
The question remains:
Which is which?
There are those who claim the USA is Ephraim and Britain Manasseh.
Others say that Britain is Ephraim and USA Manasseh.
We also consider the USA to be Manasseh and Britain Ephraim.
We identify the USA as Manasseh and the other "Anglo" nations along with Britain as pertaining
to Ephraim.

offshoots with Ephraim.
[ This number seven was not by design. It simply came out that way. There is
nothing sacrosanct about this number and we may add to it later.]
The Lost Ten Tribes went to the West. The two tribes of Joseph, Ephraim and Manasseh went to the British Isles.
With the formation of the USA most of Manasseh moved to America. Great Britain and offshoots from Britain represent Ephraim.
Seven major Proofs identifying the British with Ephraim include:
1. The Blessing of Ephraim was to precede that of Manasseh in Time.
2. Relative Importance in Different Spheres. Ephraim Lowered himself. Modest.
The Pre-eminence of Manasseh is Material.
3. Ephraim Was to Rule Over Other Nations.
4. "A COMPANY OF NATIONS" to be fulfilled in Ephraim.

6. Ephraim Represents the "BULL". John Bull of England, "Land of the Bull-Calf".
7. Ephraim Takes on the Aspects of Joseph whereas Manasseh is closer to Jacob.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were the first Patriarchs.
Jacob was renamed Israel. He had Twelve Sons who became the 12 Tribes of Israel.
Reuben was the firstborn but his Firstborn Rights were Given to Joseph

Before he died Jacob asked that Joseph come to him with his two sons,
Ephraim and Manasseh, to receive a blessing:
Genesis 48:
1 Now it came to pass after these things that Joseph was told, 'Indeed your
father is sick'; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. 2 And
Jacob was told, 'Look, your son Joseph is coming to you'; and Israel
strengthened himself and sat up on the bed. 3 Then Jacob said to Joseph: 'God
Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me, 4 and said
to me, 'Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of
you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as
an everlasting possession.' 5 And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who
were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine;
as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine. 6 Your offspring whom you beget after
them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their
inheritance. 7 But as for me, when I came from Padan,
Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was but a
little distance to go to Ephrath;
and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath
(that is, Bethlehem).'
8 Then Israel saw Joseph's sons, and said, 'Who are these?'
9 Joseph said to his father, 'They are my sons, whom God has given me in this
place.'
And he said, 'Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.' 10 Now the eyes
of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them
near him, and he kissed them and embraced them. 11 And Israel said to Joseph, 'I
had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your
offspring!'
12 So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face
to the earth. 13 And Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward
Israel's left hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel's right hand,
and brought them near him. 14 Then Israel stretched out his right hand and laid
it on Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh's head,
guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.
15 And he blessed Joseph, and said:
'God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil,
Bless the lads;
Let my name be named upon them,
And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.'
17 Now when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of
Ephraim, it displeased him; so he took hold of his father's hand to remove it
from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head. 18 And Joseph said to his father, 'Not
so, my father, for this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.'
19 But his father refused and said, 'I know, my son, I know. He also shall
become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall
be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.'
20 So he blessed them that day, saying, 'By you Israel will bless, saying, 'May
God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!'' And thus he set Ephraim before
Manasseh.
21 Then Israel said to Joseph, 'Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you and
bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to you one
portion above your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my
sword and my bow.'
Blessing from Jacob. His brother
Manasseh would also be great
The Bible (Genesis 48:8-17) tells us that Joseph brought his two sons Ephraim
and Manasseh to receive a blessing from Jacob.
Manasseh was the older and Joseph placed him to his left facing the right-hand
side of Jacob.
Ephraim was the younger so Joseph placed him to his right facing the left-hand
side of Jacob.
Jacob however crossed his hands over. He placed his right-hand on the head of
Ephraim and his left on the head of Manasseh. He placed Ephraim before Manasseh.
He did not however change the position of the boys.
Manasseh remained on the right of Jacob and Ephraim on his left. There are Rabbinical
explanations that say the crossing over of the hands in some respects did not change the relative
importance of the two but it did change the time schedule. From now on Ephraim
was to receive his blessing BEFORE Manasseh.
Britain is Ephraim and has the characteristics of Ephraim. Manasseh was to
become great AFTER Ephraim.
The USA is Manasseh and time-wise it did become great after Britain had enjoyed
its power peak for quite some time.
In the blessing of Jacob to the boys:
Ephraim was to the right of Joseph facing the left side of Jacob.
Manasseh was to the left of Joseph facing the right side of Jacob.
The left hand on the head of Manaseh indicated that he too would be great but he
would achieve his greatness AFTER that of Ephraim.
He would come to glory at a later date.
This was explained by:
The "Bnei Yissachar"(Tzvi Elimelech Shapira of Dinov (1784-1840).

In addition the very Hebrew text hints that Manasseh would become great later,
i.e. at some time after Ephraim.
Jacob said: # He also shall become a people, and he
also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and
his descendants shall become a multitude of nations. #
The expression "He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great"
(Genesis 48:19) indicate (to our mind) by use of the adverb "also" that this
would come to pass "also" at a later date.
1st proof out of seven.
Joseph had two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh.
The descendants of Joseph went to the British Isles.
Britain and the offshoots of Britain are Ephraim and have the characteristics of Ephraim.
Manasseh was to become great AFTER Ephraim.
America was founded by the British and in a sense emerged from Britain.
The USA is Manasseh and time-wise it did become great after Britain with the British Empire
had enjoyed its power peak for quite some time.
Britain preceded the USA therefore Britain is Ephraim.

The word used here for YOUNGER is HaKatan which can connote "made Little".
The Commentators say Ephraim merited since not only was he the 'little' i.e.
younger brother but he was prepared to 'belittle' himself. England agreed to
allow the USA to direct the world and to take a backseat in exchange for Amercan
economic support in prosecuting World War-2. Churchill remarked that Britain gave
away her Empire to save the world. With hindsight we may say that such a process
was inevitable anyway but it was not so obvious at the time. The willingness to
belittle oneself for the sake of a greater cause was there.
Manasseh to be More Blessed materially!
There are commentators (e.g. "HaNatziv"Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin, 1816 - 1893) who understood that Manasseh was to be
the more blessed of the two in the material sense.
The pre-eminence of Ephraim was to be one of chronological order and of quality of
achievement.
The USA materially was and is greater than the British but the British Empire
came to pre-eminence previously and helped civilize a good portion of the globe.
Jacob prophesied that (Genesis 48:19) Ephraim would be greater than Manasseh. The Commentary of the "NATZIV" Berlin ("Ha Emek Davar" on Genesis 48:14) analyzed the subject of Ephraim and Manasseh and after noting that in their camping orders Manasseh always preceded Ephraim and in tribal listings is always counted first he concluded that the relative greatness of Ephraim was primarily spiritual and that in the Natural order of Things Manasseh would have precedence. This description to some extent is applicable to the relative situations of Britain and the USA.
The "NATZIV" Berlin ("Ha Emek Davar" Numbers 2:20:
20 “Next to him [i.e. next to Ephraim at the head of the west side in the Wilderness Encampment] comes the tribe of Manasseh, and the leader of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.”
## Even though Ephraim was the chief standard [when the Israelites wandered in the Wilderness]
this was because the nature of Providence in the Wilderness was miraculous.
The power of Ephraim is greater regarding the miraculous aspect of existence.
Concerning the regular way of the world however Manasseh is greater. ##
The "NATZIV"on Numbers 13:11 (concerning sending one spy from each of the Tribes to report on the Land of Canaan):
11 from the tribe of Joseph, that is, from the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi;
# Since they now needed to act according to the laws of nature the main emphasis was on Manasseh ##.;
Here Hoshea [Joshua] was sent from Ephraim ("from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun, 13:8); and Gaddi from Manasseh
but Gaddi is referred to as from the tribes of Joseph as well as from the Tribe of Manasseh. Joseph was divided into Ephraim and Manasseh.
The Natiziv is saying that in this case it is as if the main emphasis is on Manasseh.
Genesis 48:20 "And he placed Ephraim before Manasseh."
The "NATZIV"on Genesis 48:20:
## In spiritual matters Ephraim had precedence, but in the ways of the world Manasseh was pre-eminent ##.
The prevalence of Ephraim is repeated in Jeremiah (31:9), "I am a father to
Israel, and EPHRAIM is my firstborn".
The British are Ephraim. The USA represents Manasseh. Ephraim and Manasseh were the two sons of Joseph.
One of the 7 major proofs identifying the British with Ephraim is the relative importance of material wealth and power that was to be enjoyed by Manasseh as compared to Ephraim. The British also evidenced the quality of national self-abnegation for the sake of world good. This was a quality of Ephraim.
Jacob said concerning Ephraim (vrs Manasseh), "truly his YOUNGER brother shall be GREATER than he, and his descendants shall become a MULTITUDE OF NATIONS (Genesis 48:19).

AND SAID, I KNOW IT, MY SON, I KNOW IT: HE ALSO SHALL BECOME A PEOPLE, AND HE
ALSO SHALL BE GREAT: BUT TRULY HIS YOUNGER BROTHER SHALL BE GREATER THAN HE,
AND HIS SEED SHALL BECOME A MULTITUDE OF NATIONS.
'A MULTITUDE OF NATIONS' in Hebrew is 'Malao ha-Goyim', literally 'fullness of
the peoples' meaning (according to Rabbinical Commentators) rule over nations or
determine the very existence of other nations.
The British Empire once ruled over about 25% of the world's population. Many
nations that exist in the world today only came into being thanks to British
rule and tutelage.
This blessing to Ephraim to rule over and bring other nations into being was fulfilled through the British Empire.
Wikipedia entry "British Empire" tells us:
The British Empire ...originated with the overseas colonies and trading posts established by England in the late 16th and early 17th centuries. At its height it was the largest empire in history and, for over a century, was the foremost global power.[1] By 1922 the British Empire held sway over about 458 million people, one-quarter of the world's population at the time,[2] and covered more than 33,700,000 km2 (13,012,000 sq mi), almost a quarter of the Earth's total land area.[3] As a result, its political, linguistic and cultural legacy is widespread. At the peak of its power, it was often said that "the sun never sets on the British Empire" because its span across the globe ensured that the sun was always shining on at least one of its numerous territories.
Ephraim was predicted to become in Hebrew 'Malao ha-Goyim' (Genesis 48:19) translated
as 'A MULTITUDE OF NATIONS' but literally meaning 'fullness of the peoples' . Ephraim (according to Rabbinical Commentators) was to rule over the nations or literally determine the very existence of other nations. This was fulfilled through the British Empire. It is a proof that the British are Ephraim.
The British Empire once ruled over about 25% of the world's population. Many nations that exist in the world today only came into being thanks to British rule and tutelage.
4. "A COMPANY OF NATIONS" to be
fulfilled in Ephraim. When Jacob blessed the sons of Joseph he invoked 'God Almighty [who]
appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan" (Genesis 48:3).
Luz is another name for Beth-el.
At Beth-el Jacob had been blessed: [GEN 35:11] AND GOD SAID UNTO HIM, I AM
GOD ALMIGHTY: BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY; A NATION AND A COMPANY OF NATIONS SHALL
BE OF THEE, AND KINGS SHALL COME OUT OF THY LOINS; This blessing was to be inherited primarily by Joseph (see also the
Rabbinical Commentator, Malbim on this passage) and passed onto Ephraim. See:

The plain significance of the expression 'A COMPANY OF NATIONS' means
several nations each with its own distinctiveness such as Britain, Australia,
Canada, New Zealand, etc. Britain itself is comprised of smaller nations such
as, Ulster, England, Scotland, Wales, and Cornwall.
We also had the British Empire and British Commonwealth of Nations.
Britain as Ephraim with Kings and a Company of Nations (Goi ve-Kahal Goyim) have
fulfilled this blessing.

The Names "Ephraim" and "Ephrathite" (somebody from Ephraim) connote
nobility as remarked upon by the Sages.
[Jeremiah 31:20]
"IS EPHRAIM MY DEAR SON' IS HE A PLEASANT CHILD' FOR SINCE I SPAKE
AGAINST HIM, I DO EARNESTLY REMEMBER HIM STILL: THEREFORE MY BOWELS ARE TROUBLED

Levi said: [the word Ephraim means] someone who grew up in a palace [i.e. a
noble]. Rabbi YehoshuabenNachman
said: [the word Ephraim means] a master and governor. Said Rabbi Pinchas,
our forefather Jacob when he passed away coronated
Ephraim with a crown and made him the head of the tribes, the chief of the
assembly, the most handsome and exalted of my descendants will be called by his
name.# (MidrashYaYikraRabah
2;3).
This Midrash refers to the fact that the very name Ephraim connotes nobility whereas Menasseh connotes
representative Accountable Democracy. Ephraim dominates Britain and Menasseh is
prevalent in the USA. Ephraim (nobility, the aristocratic principle of
government) still prevails in Britain whereas the democratic Principle is
paramount in the USA.
Ephrati in Hebrew means someone from Ephraim or a Noble.
[1-Kings 11:26] AND JEROBOAM THE SON OF
NEBAT,
AN EPHRATHITE [i.e. Ephrati]
OF ZEREDA,
SOLOMON'S SERVANT, WHOSE MOTHER'S NAME WAS ZERUAH,
A WIDOW WOMAN, EVEN HE LIFTED UP HIS HAND AGAINST THE KING.
Someone from Ephraim is called an "Ephrati" which name denotes the
aristocratic principle and Britain is still an aristocracy.
[Genesis 41:52] AND THE NAME OF THE
SECOND CALLED HE EPHRAIM: FOR GOD HATH CAUSED ME TO BE FRUITFUL IN THE LAND OF
MY AFFLICTION.
"EPHRAIM" MEANS A NATION OF
ARISTOCRATS! The second son of Joseph was named EPHRAIM whose name
expresses the principle of nobility. Ephraim was to become the dominant
Israelite Tribe in the British Isles. For better or for worse, Britain is
distinguished from other nations by its monarchy and by its
aristocrats.
"AND THE NAME OF THE SECOND CALLED HE
EPHRAIM: FOR GOD HAS CAUSED ME TO BE FRUITFUL [Hebrew: "Hi- PhRa-Ni"]
IN THE LAND OF MY AFFLICTION" (Genesis 41:52).
The Hebrew word "hiphrani" translated above as, "caused me to be
fruitful" based on the root "pri" (i.e. "fruit") may also be rendered as
"powerful" and be linked to another root "PAR" meaning bull. The symbol of
Joseph and Ephraim was a bull.
"John Bull" is a nickname for England. [In Biblical Hebrew a word may be
understood to have two roots, i.e. to deliberately connote two separate yet
complementary meanings].
Someone who belonged to the Tribe of Ephraim was known as an
Eprathite i.e. in Hebrew, an "Ephrathi". This was the usual application of the
term.
The name "Ephrathi" however could also denote a person living in Beth-Lehem of
Judah! Beth-Lehem was in an area named "Ephrath".
EbenShushan
in his authoritative Hebrew dictionary ("HaMalonHaChadash",
Jerusalem, 1979, in Hebrew) lists alternative meanings for the name "Ephrathi":

In Talmudic (e.g.

1 Samuel a;77) and Rabbinical Literature (Radak
on 1 Samuel 1;1) "Ephrathi"
is taken to mean someone from the Tribe of Ephraim or of noble birth or both.
Rabbi David Kimchi
("Radak"
1157 1236) quoted (in his Commentary on 1 Samuel 1;1) from much earlier sources
concerning the meaning of "Ephrathi":
##"In the mountain of Ephraim may be exegetically explained as
(hinting at) greatness and importance. "Ephrathi"
said Rabbi Yehoshuaben
Levi means "Dweller of the Palace" [i.e. nobleman] and there are those [who
explain Ephrathi
to mean] an extremely great person living in holiness in Mount Ephraim.
In Britain there exist two basic classes, Commoners and Nobility.
Membership of the Aristocracy is acquired by birth though gifted and/or rich
generous commoners may obtain an "honorary" title for the duration of their
lifetime. The Legislature is comprised of the House of Commons and the House of
Lords that has some limited veto rights. The Aristocracy to some extent overlaps
with the ruling elite and has easier access to higher quality education and to
economic advantage points. In practice the average Briton probably feels he has
as many or more rights and privileges as anybody else, anywhere. Nevertheless,
the British system is basically an aristocratic one with good and bad
characteristics of its own. The British system at its best appears to instill in
its members a certain unique sense of duty and order and the ability to overcome
all odds. The linguistic meaning of "Ephraim" may be taken as not only an entity
governed by Aristocrats but also one in which all are aristocratic.
Nobility and the Aristocratic Principle are aspects of the British Character.
Even the "lower" classes in effect consider themselves dispossessed noblemen.
They are not against the system since somehow or other they feel part of it and
benefit from it.
This is part of the British Character.
Regarding Ephraim being Britain an English historical work describing the national character of
Englishmen justifies our claims:

#The English working man…did not take readily to aggregate conceptions of himself…
He did not want liberty as a member of a class: he wanted it as a man…His fists and his tongue
were always quick to assert his independence.
#Not clearly understanding how he had been swindled out of his birthright – home, status,
and privilege – he was yet aware of the dignity of his descent. He knew himself to be as good as any man,
and better.
#…a nation of disinherited, cheery aristocrats…
# The downtrodden wage-slave did not think of himself as such but as the rightful inheritor
– as by ancestry he was – of a free tradition of transmitted privilege.
He only wanted to get back his own: to be the great gentleman he knew himself to be, enjoying, generous,
and carefree.
The Hierarical Principle in Britain.
A Britisher when speaking to someone else will often attempt to determine the
hierarchy of the person spoken to: He wants to know where he stands in relation
of rank to the other.
[ This can be both positive and negative, e.g.
On the positive side: He may want to determine where you stand to help you or
receive assistance from you.
On the negative side: Whether to treat you with disdain or alternitely with servility. ]
An Australian is similar despite the egalitarian nature of Australian society:
Australians will still search for some point of fixation or attempt to create
one
by giving advice, sympathy, remonstration, or admiration.
They will seek some type of positioning beyond the transient moment.
The difference is that in Britain the "rank" may be what you are born with
whereas in Australia it is what you have acquired. It is still an attempt at
relative hierarchy.
The aristocratic principle is still there.
Each Israelite Group has its own characteristics that may be used for good or evil.
An American looks
for value in the positive or negative sense.
America is named after "Machir"
representing "Price or Selling".
An American may relate more to what one is worth to him or to others or to
society.
A Jew will look for immediate benefit regardless of long-term consequence.
Judah is more existential. This can take Judah to great heights or depths.
Judah is prepared to worship the Almighty for the sake of it.
Religious Jews know little (if anything) about heaven or hell. What bothers them is whether something is permitted or forbidden, on what should be done in the present.
A Frenchman will often have a positive approach towards others but still looks
for rigidity in relationships.
Frenchmen are often very nice. They have a natural confidence in the innate worth of a fellow man rather
than what he has earned, has. This is Reuben with the qualities of a "firstborn".
He has however a certain rigidity of approach.
Even when Reuben is a revolutionary he still attempts to switch one rigid system (with everything
set in place) for another.
Britain and British offshoots display the Aristocratic concept associated with
Ephraim.
6. Ephraim Represents the "BULL". John
Bull of England, "Land of the Bull-Calf".
Concerning Joseph, Moses prophesied [Deuteronomy 33:17]:
"Becor Shoro, Hadar Lo" or literally "His firstborn is his bull who shall give
him glory"
This is translated as:
"His glory is like a firstborn bull".
Our translation however is closer to the original Hebrew.
Ephraim who would hold the rank of firstborn of Joseph would be his bull.
[We will explain what we mean by this:]
Let us look at the whole verse in context:
This is how it is conventionally translated into English:
Deuteronomy 33:
17 His glory is like a firstborn bull,
And his horns like the horns of the wild ox;
Together with them
He shall push the peoples
To the ends of the earth;
They are the ten thousands of Ephraim,
And they are the thousands of Manasseh.'
That is how the Hebrew is translated in the New KJV and this translation more or
less conform to how other Translations render it.
The original Hebrew however may be understood to say something like the
following:
"His firstborn is his bull who shall
give him glory,
And his horns the horns of the unicorn
[raem];
Together, they shall butt the peoples.
To the ends of the earth.
They are the ten thousands of Ephraim,
And they are the thousands of Manasseh.'
This is how we would paraphrase the verse as saying:
He will received his glory from the
firstling of his bull [Ephraim];
And his (Menasseh)
horns are immensely powerful as of a Unicorn:
Together, they will butt the nations.
They (Ephraim and Manasseh) will be together until the ends
(extreme points when the Land of Israel is the center) of the earth;
and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, that are multiplied a thousands times over together with those of Manasseh.
Manasseh according to the Midrash was represented by a unicorn.
Here (Deuteronomy 33:17) we have the bull mentioned first and Ephraim mentioned first.
Ephraim is parallel to the bull.
We also have the words of the Midrash that link Ephraim with the bull and the
secondary meaning ("par") of the name "Ephraim" relating to a "bull".

BULL-CALF AEGEL
The Prophet Jeremiah likened Ephraim to an "aegel" which in Hebrew means a
"young-bull".
Rashi said that "aegel" was a nick-name for Ephraim.
Jeremiah 31:
18 ' I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself:
' You have chastised me, and I was chastised,
Like an untrained bull;
Restore me, and I will return,
For You are the LORD my God.
Historically this very name "Aegel" was a diminutive (favorite nickname) for the
ethnic term "Angle".
The Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Vandals, and others conquered from the Britons the
land that was later named "England".
The Saxons in England also apparently referred to themselves as "Angles" and
identified as such.
On the Continent an Angle was referred to as an Aegel.
[Reference: F.R. Klaeber, Gwyn Jones, see 'TheTribes" ch7, reference 8.]
In Ancient Hebrew "Angle" may have been an alternative pronunciation of "Aegel"!
The "A-" sound in "Aegel" is an "ayin" which may be pronounced as "An". This is
still found amongst Ashkenazi Jews.
We thus get "Angel" for "Aegel" both in ancient Hebrew pronunciation (or at
least one form of it) and in the spoken language amongst Northern peoples in
Europe.
The Angles gave England (i.e. Angle-land) its name. The Angles were also called
Aegels. The appellations Angle and Aegel were employed interchangeably. The
Hebrew word for young bull is "Aegel".
Thus England may be considered "Aegeland" i.e. Land of the bull-Calf" i.e. l;and
of Ephraim!
The English now nickname themselves "John Bull". parallel to "Uncle Sam" who represents the USA.
Since the early 1800s the
figure of John Bull has been used to portray Britain in political cartoons.
John Bull was often shown as a fat, shortish, jovial, middle-aged,
semi-affluent, good-natured character whom others may attempt to take advantage of
but he will better them.
Winston Churchill depicted as John Bull defying the Germans with members of the British Commonwealth and Empire backing him up.
In some versions John Bull was depicted as a real live bull or as a human being
with the head of a bull.
Ephraim is therefore identified as a bull and so is England and by extension the
British in general. Ephraim equates with Britain and its offshoots.
One of several meanings of the name Ephraim is "He Made Me Like a Bull" (Hebrew "Hiphrani"). The symbol of Ephraim was a bull. Jeremiah (ch.3) nicknamed Ephraim "a young bull", in Hebrew an "aegel". The Angles who settled in Britain and who gave England (Angle-Land) its name were also known as "Aegl" meaning "Young Bull" in Hebrew. Also the Hebrew term for young bull "aegel" could alternatively have been pronounced as "Angle".
The British are nick named "John Bull". According to the Bible they personify Ephraim.
7. Ephraim Takes on the Aspects of
Joseph whereas Manasseh is closer to Jacob. Ephraim defeats Edom-Germany.
We saw in the blessing of Jacob to the sons of Joseph:
Ephraim was to the right of Joseph facing the left side of Jacob.
Manasseh was to the left of Joseph facing the right side of Jacob.
Ephraim (being to the right side of Joseph) is considered in Rabbinical thought to have taken on more of the aspect of Joseph whereas
Manasseh reflects Jacob.
One of the attributes of Joseph is that fact that he is an adversary to Esau
(meaning Edom):. See:

Obadiah says that in the Last Days: [Obadiah 1:18] AND THE HOUSE OF JACOB
SHALL BE A FIRE, AND THE HOUSE OF JOSEPH A FLAME, AND THE HOUSE OF ESAU FOR
STUBBLE, AND THEY SHALL KINDLE IN THEM, AND DEVOUR THEM; AND THERE SHALL NOT BE
ANY REMAINING OF THE HOUSE OF ESAU; FOR THE LORD HATH SPOKEN IT.
Obadiah says that the House of Joseph shall destroy the House of Esau. Rabbinical
sources identified Esau with Rome and with Germany and sometimes with Europe in
general. The Talmud says that only Joseph is capable of defeating Esau.
Edom gave rise to the early Romans, elements in Japan and Europe, in Russia, and
in Germany and Austria.
Britain in the past and especially on World Wars 1 & 2 fought against forces that may be equated with Edom.
Even though the USA also participated in the World Wars they came in later. It was
the British who bore most of the burden and who were primarily responsible for seeking it all the way through.
It was they who fulfilled the task of Joseph to some degree.
Since Ephraim is more "connected" to Joseph than Manasseh this serves as another indication that the British are Ephraim.
We have seen that Ephraim is Britain due to their fulfilling the seven Major
Points
associated with Ephraim: 1. The Blessing of Ephraim was to
precede that of Manasseh in Time.
2. Relative Importance in Different Spheres. Ephraim Lowered himself. Modest. The Pre-eminence of Manasseh is Material.
3. Ephraim to Rule Over Nations.
4. "A COMPANY OF NATIONS" to be fulfilled in Ephraim.
5. Ephraim Represents the Aristocratic Principle. Nobility. Ephrati.
Characteristic of Putting One in His Place.
6. Ephraim Represents the "BULL". John Bull of England, "Land of the
Bull-Calf".
7. Ephraim Takes on the Aspects of Joseph whereas Manasseh is closer to Jacob.
Ephraim defeats Edom-Germany.
