"Shavei Israel" is a continuation of the organization "Amishav" that was headed by Rabbi Eliyahu Avichail who has now apparently gone into semi-retirement.
"Shavei Israel" is headed by Michael Freund who is a reporter for the Jerusalem Post and also heads a Jewish-Christian friendship organization.
"Shavei Israel" occupies itself with descendants of Jews in Eastern Europe as well as amongst Spanish-speaking populations.
"Shavei Israel" also looks for the Lost Tribes in Afghanistan, India, Burma, and other areas.
"Shavei Israel" has been responsible for bringing to Israel a few hundred converts to Judaism from Burma.
"Shavei Israel" has a budget of millions of dollars and widespread connections.
"Shavei Israel" receives support from Christians in the USA and even from who are of "Ephraimites"-persuasion or close to it.
"Shavei Israel" does not work under the same constraints faced by Brit-Am.

Brit-Am has very limited means.
If Brit-Am had more it could do more.
If budgetary limitations are factored into the equation Brit-Am does far more with the little it has on a relative scale.

Tomar Deborah speaks of dreams and messages from autistic children etc. This is all a big hoax.
Rabbi Avraham Feld at one stage spoke of reporting those responsible to the Police
for exploiting and misrepresenting the children.
If anyone else apart from Amnon Goldberg had have asked us about this site we probably would have ignored them as deliberately trying to provoke us.
The site claims that Obama is Cham because his father was black.
This is ridiculous.
A person belongs to the nation of his father. The father of Obama is descended from an Arab slave-trader who just happened to team up with a woman of darker color.
The USA Gog and Magog?
The site refers to a recent program on the Tamar Yonah
interviewing Joel Gallis and Dr. Robert Wolf (Redemption 5768)

These interviews contain the claim that the USA is Gog and Magog etc.
The proofs however rely on questionable gematrias (numerical equivalents of words etc) and doubtful Torah Codes. Such sources can often be interpreted in different ways.
They SHOULD NOT BE used as primary sources but rather as supportive indications.

Our use of the Bible Codes however comes as a supplement to findings we have reached either through direct Biblical verses and/or secular studies.
We seldom (if ever?) use such sources as primary evidence.
To make such a far-reaching claim that the USA is Magog should require much more evidence than adduced and in fact NO REAL evidence has been brought forward.
Such a claim would also have to cope with Brit-Am beliefs such claims.
Brit-Am beliefs really are based on reliable evidence and strong proofs.
Is this ALL the Opposition can do?
