I am working on my genealogy on ancestry.com. Supposedly, within my ancestry, there was a Princess by the name of Tamar Tephi who was the daughter of either King Jehoahaz ben Josiah and Queen Hamutal. There are other sources that say that she was actually the daughter of the last King of Judah, Zedekiah ben Josiah.
The problem is that I can't find any evidence in Jewish text or tradition that indicates that either Kings had a daughter named Tamar or that they even had daughters. Of course it would be great if I was descended from King David, but I'm highly skeptical of this genealogy. If either kings had daughters that escaped from Egypt to carry on the Davidic line wouldn't Jewish text or tradition corroborate this legend?

I never
said that the lost identity and revealing in its proper time of the
ten tribes of Israel is a conspiracy entered into by its believers
and/or propagators. What I said was that it is of the same nature as
the conspiracy theories meaning that it is of the same nature in
a specific way NOT as a conspiracy itself but in another way
entirely: how it is perceived in the minds of its believers. Here is
exactly what I said:
"What you may not have recognized is that the concept of the hidden
identity of the lost ten tribes being revealed in its proper time is
itself of the nature of conspiracy theories; that is, they each are
systems of a special type of understanding by which those who hold
them as beliefs believe themselves to be in possession of special
understanding that elevates them in understanding above the vast
majority of people around them."
