Mr. Davidiy:
Shalom!
I only became aware of you and Brit-Am a few weeks ago. I had recently read the
blessings of Jacob's children in Gen. 48 & 49 and had been pondering about
Manasseh and Ephraim. I had even wrote on a pad of paper at my work the simple
question "Where is Manasseh?" From what I understood of the Bible and that the
blessings were for the last days, Manasseh had to be in existence now as a great
nation. I had even prayed about it. I had also heard from well-intentioned
folk that the USA was not in Bible prophecy and they would then commence with a
speculative explanation as to why. It did not make sense to me.
Well, I was recently doing some ancestry research of my maternal line and
somehow (I do not remember how) I came upon your website. It was wonderful to
see. Thanks for all you do.
Since from the emails and correspondence on your website it seems common that
many give their ancestry info to you, I will do the same.
I've always lived in the Chicago area (on the Indiana side now). My maternal
line is German and my paternal line is Dutch. My paternal grandfather came from
Hornhuizen, Netherlands to the USA in 1922. Hornhuizen is a small village in
the north of the Netherlands near the North Sea. My paternal grandmother was
Frisian. I have genealogy traced back through both (gram and graddad) to the
late 1700's - all primarily from northern Netherlands.
On my maternal side less research has been done but I have traced back my
maternal grandmother's ancestors to having emigrated to the USA in the late
1840's to early 1850's from Hannover and Mechlenburg, Germany. Feel free to add
any insight you may have, but I think it is already in your website.
Thanks and God's Blessings,
Jonathan
