1. Conspiracy Freaks and Mental Aberrations?
A higher than average proportion of Conspiracy Freaks
seem to believe in Visitors from Outer Space and claim to have had contact with them.
They are also often into Spiritualism (seances etc see references by BC),
believe in "psychic" manipulation and are anti-Semites.
Beliefs such as these are often enhanced with a history of chemical abuse.
Conspiracy Theories are typical primitive Muslim third-world superstitious type mentalities.
See:
http://britam.org/jerusalem/JerusalemNewsPage.html#Important640
Any enterprising researcher seeking fame and achievement has only to prepare a
questionnaire revealing:
(a) Are you normal?
(b) Do you believe in Conspiracy Theory?
It is almost certain that if the answer to (a) is no then the answer to (b) will be yes
in a proportion far far in excess of the national average.
Conspiracy Freaks evidently suffer from some kind of sickness.
We would recommend they endeavor to cure themselves
by reading the Bible along with an edifying Commentary such as that of
Brit-Am.
Once cured they may then write their own questionaires.

Howdy Yair
This is in regards to no.1 below and Jeremiah 43.
You might of already seen this article dispelling
the story about Tea-Tephi and Jeremiah in Ireland?.
It seems all of the BI folks have taken this as a "fact"
and all "ran with with it".

I read the article and am familiar with some of the other articles listed on the site in question.
The article is OK but does not really prove the case.
I personally DO NOT believe that Jeremiah was in Ireland
but the article seemed not to focus on the right points.
The article seems to take a point which seems obvious and then try to prove it by using blatantly unfair
methods. By the time he is finished reading the article, the critical reader is liable to begin feeling
sympathy for the opinion being criticized.
The article itself quotes from a version of Irish History that uses incorrect
dating methods, i.e. the History is a collection of traditions and stories etc from different sources
put together somewhat arbitrarily and given a fantastically long time scale.
The article relates to this version of Irish History as if its chronology was accurate and it is not;
and as if the sequence of events given is reliable while it may not be so.

We in Brit-Am might be prepared to re-write Irish History if enough sources were made available to us.

We have already done valuable work in this regard in our work,
"Lost Israelite Identity"
This book successfully relates the truths that DO exist Irish Legend to historical and Biblical fact.
We hope to one day put out a new edition of this work as well as publish others like it
along the same lines of inquiry.

Thanks Yair for the reply, there seems to be a mix of
truth, myths and fables in this story from everyone.Who
is right and who is wrong in their ideas?.Looks like it comes
down to what one wants to believe I suppose?. You said..

Do you have an article showing your correct views on this subject?.
If so,can you send me your version of this story?. What are the
right points, can you prove your case?.
                                                 Thanks much...Ron

We have our books especially "Lost Israelite Identity" a few copies of which may soon once again be available.
We also have a few articles on our web-site:
e.g.
Hebrew Celtic Namesakes
http://britam.org/namesakes.html
http://britam.org/arabian.html
Please note that though it may be important Brit-Am
never emphasized such subsidiary issues as the
House of David connection via Tea Tephi to Royal Families
(though a connection may exist to the House of David it apparently comes from another direction as
we have shown in the past and shortly will explain in detail)
Jeremiah and Baruch ben Neriah in Ireland, the Stone of Scone etc.
We realize that these issues are very popular but we always concentrated
upon Biblical Evidence as confirmed by Rabbinical Sources along with Archaeological
and related Historical Findings.
These are covered from several directions in our publications and web-site articles.

Subject: RE: "Brit-Am Now"-929

Yair - don't know if you are familiar with Jewish World Review, there was what i think an excellent article on "conspiracy theories" at http://jewishworldreview.com/0607/dreher.php3

Know you are wanting to get away from that discussion on Brit-Am, this involves much more, and seems prophetic in ways - the state of man's mind in these days. So send it merely as information for you.

Am enjoying all the information on length of month and year, and Velikowsky's thoughts. Have read his works, but your readers are adding more information, thank you for those postings.

And the hit for Neot Kedumim, great. One of my favorite places to visit in Israel - its all about "seeds" and that is a huge way Abba reveals himself to mankind. Seeds and their cycles (circles).

i also appreciate your site and the ease of navigating around  it, agree with Sally wholeheartedly. And another point, it is so easy to access your archives. :)

#6. King Hezekiah and the Sun-dial: The Solar Calendar Implications
We all have our weaknesses.
The Book of Proverbs suggests that with age can come wisdom.
That may be so but I usually prefer avoiding situations that reveal my progress
in chronological terminology.
Unfortunately recent lapses in basic arithmetic leave "getting old"
the most convenient excuse available as well as the most acceptable.
But how many of you even noticed?
Any way here are the sums again in corrected form:

Brit-Am Understanding.
Concentrating only on Hezekiah (2-Kings 20:8-11, Isaiah 38:4-9)
and the implications of the degrees going backwards.
I understand that the day from dawn to dusk was divided into 12.
This is regardless of shadow lengthening or shortening.
When the tenth hour arrived it went back to being dawn,
e.g. if the sun rises at 0600 and sets at 1800, the time was 1600
but the dial went backwards and showed it as being 0600.

This is consistent with some sudden event such as a comet colliding with the earth and throwing the orbit of the earth out of its path to which it never returned. This was suggested by Velikovsky and others.
The result was a lengthening of  the solar year being lengthened, i.e. time was added onto it.
according to our understanding 10/24 ths of a day were added onto that day (i.e. almost 42 per cent)
or 25 sixtieths.

If the year was previously 360 days long and then became ca.365.25
it was lengthened by a bit less than one sixtieth.

The earth suddenly moved from a previous slightly shorter orbit to the present one.
