Brit-Am Movie?
Subject: Zechariah 9:13, film idea
Hi Yair, I thought I'd share a little bit of Biblical interpretation with you
since it applies pretty directly to Brit-Am's mission. I had just finished
reading Steve Collins' book Parthia when I began to study the book of Zechariah,
one of the books of the Old Testament I never really got into very much since my
focus in studying the OT has generally focussed on the northern kingdom ever
since I got into studying the lost tribes (Hosea is my favorite, fyi).
Anyway, when I got to Zechariah 9:13, something clicked and I think I understand
what it is saying, and it might be an encouragement to you and to anyone
studying prophecy and the lost tribes. It reads in the NASB:
"For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will
stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece; and I will make you like
a warrior's sword."
Most commentaries I read concerning this passage are quick to identify this as
the revolt of the Maccabees, but they pretty much ignore the appearance of
"Ephraim" in the prophecy, which is obviously significant. This is what I think
it's saying here:
Ephraim empowers Judah (fill the bow). That is, Parthia was mainly the tribe of
Ephraim (especially the Bachrites, Eranites, and Tahanites), and their defeat of
the Seleucid Greeks under Antiochus III severely weakened the Greeks and
ultimately began the end of that empire. This defeat emboldened the smaller
provinces of the empire, including Judah, which was able to successfully revolt
against Antiochus IV, as Collins quotes Rawlinson (pg. 44): "The immediate
result of the destruction of Antiochus and his host was the revolt of Judea."
So anyway, I'm always thrilled when I think I've really understood something,
especially when I understand because I know about the lost tribes. It is a
passion.
Now a separate subject: films. Have you noticed how much influence blockbuster
movies have on today's society in education? For example, few people thought
there was a conspiracy in the assassination of President Kennedy before the
movie "JFK." Even fewer people knew who Marcus Aurelius was before the movie
"Gladiator." Few people knew about the 54th Massachussetts, the first black
American regiment in the US Army, before the movie "Glory." What's more, most
people, once having seen the movie, act as if they are experts on the subject
afterward and treat the events in the movies as Gospel. When Gibson's "Passion
of the Christ" was released, I was deeply moved on many levels (as you know, I'm
a Christian): the movie was faithful to the New Testament Scriptures and it was
even more authentic in that it was done in Aramaic and Latin. One of those
levels that I was moved on was the idea of making a blockbuster film that
demonstrates who the lost tribes of Israel are. In order to give a full
presentation of the teaching, there would obviously need to be an entire series
of movies that range through time and empires and places; but one could still
make a movie that demonstrates the basics: linking Israel to Scythia, Carthage,
and Cimmeria. From there, the conclusions are obvious. The easiest time frame
to put this in would be the ministry of Hosea, who most likely witnessed the
entire deportation of the northern tribes (based on the kings of Judah mentioned
in the first chapter). Such a movie could show the diversity of Israel: hire
English actors to be Ephraimites, French actors for Reubenites, Americans for
Manassites, etc. Dialogue between the Assyrian armies and Israel would reveal
the name Omri/Khumri as identification for Israel. Israelites going into exile
could talk to each other and saying they were going into exile and would have to
dwell in booths/tents and give the explanation of how they came to be known as
Scythians. Those fleeing to Carthage/Kiriath Hadasht could easily show that
link.
In addition to the movie itself, we ALWAYS have witnessed documentaries on A&E,
The History Channel, PBS, etc. that accompany the blockbusters. How many
documentaries I watched or heard about for Gladiator! This would be the perfect
opportunity for Brit-Am to compose a documentary to give the full picture of
Israel's migrations and fulfilled prophecies. This would expose millions of,
well, lemmings - who believe everything they hear - to the truth of this
teaching WITHOUT the perversions of the occultic versions. That is, the end
would be people glorifying God for His faithfulness and NOT glorifying man (
i.e. white supremacy).
Anyway, just a couple of thoughts. Please tell me what you think.

Anticipating "Role to Rule"

Subject: Role to Rule
Yair shalom,
The overview of Role to Rule is,in my opinion mentally and emotionally
stimulating. It is with anticipation of a great read I await the arrival of my
copy. What a glimmer of hope for us all, especially during 'the three weeks' to
have it released and available.
"If you're going through hell, keep on going." (Winston Churchill) Seems an
appropriate quote for this "festival of sadness" time.
God bless you and the Brit-Am family, Diane
