Answer: There are several web sites and discussion groups that you could
find on the web. I am not familiar with any of them.

Answer:

Anything is worth checking. On the whole if it was England there would be a
good chance of finding Jewish ancestors.
If your ancestors were English-Irish there is also a good chance. Otherwise
the possibility of finding records of Jewish ancestry for Irish or Scottish
people are quite slim. On the other hand many individuals of Irish descent
feel a strong instinctive identification
with the Jewish people.

Answer:
The knowledge would be beneficial to them but in practical terms if they
wished to be recognized as Jews
they would have to convert due to the length of time that has passed and
other reasons.

We in Brit-Am are concerned mainly with the Lost Ten Tribes in general.
No one tribe is necessarily better than any other.
If one believes in Judaism and wishes to live in Israel then knowing that
one has Jewish ancestry can help
psychologically but that is about all.
God bless you

SUBJECT: "AN EMBRIONIC REUNIFICATION"
Dear Yair
Recently, I was invited to attend a special function at the Bevis Marks
Synagogue, the oldest Jewish synagogue in England, situated in the City of
London. The synagogue is the only one in Europe that has enjoyed
uninterupted peaceful and undisturbed use, as a HOUSE OF PRAYER, for over
three hundred years. In its time it has had some famous Rabbis and sons of
the congregation. The most famous member undoubtedly was Sir Moses
Montefiore, the great Jewish philanthropist of the Victorian era, who
visited Palestine no less than seven times. There he endowed hospitals and
almshouses and actively encouraged the growing of agricultural crops. His
windmill for the milling of grain for his many workers can still be seen
opposite the walls of Jerusalem. Queen Victoria knighted him for these and
many other noble services in 1837, and he was created a Baronet in 1846.
Another famous son of the congregation was Isaac d'Israeli, the father of
Sir Benjamin Disraeli who was to become the famous Prime Minister of
England during the zenith of the British Empire. Apparently Isaac d'Israeli
left the congregation over a dispute involving the payment of a fine. He
then had his children babtised as Christians. It was not until 1858 that
Jews were allowed to become Members of Parliament. Thus, had it not been
for this quarrel, it is extremely unlikely that Benjamin Disraeli would
have become Prime Minister of England. Benjamin, though, despite his
conversion, consistently remained a well-wisher of the Jews. The
congregation is still in possession of the Register of Births with the
entry Benjamin d'Israeli, stating that he had been circumcised by David
Abarbanel Lindo, his uncle.
We were invited by the Jewish community of London, who wanted to express
their thanks for our participation in the Pro-Israel demonstration in
Trafalgar Square in May of this year. You may remember, I wrote about this
event in May, and you kindly published my comments at the time. Altogether,
the leaders of some twenty-five Christian ministries had been invited.
First of all we were addressed by Rabbi Avraham Levy, followed by the
Israeli Ambassador, and the person who had organised the rally in Trafalgar
Square. The response was given by Geoffrey Smith, who is one of the leaders
of Christian Friends of Israel. He spoke with great eloquence about
Christian solidarity with the Jews and with Israel. So much so, that he was
given a rousing standing ovation that went on for several minutes, as Jew
and Christian alike responded to his words. What really touched me most was
when he spoke of Christians being not only the "friends" of Israel but also
that they considered the Jews to be their "brothers." Whilst neither the
Rabbi, nor the Christian minister, or indeed their assembled Jewish and
Christian guests had any idea about their true tribal family relationship,
they responded almost as if by instinct to the reference to their
brotherhood. Here was a prominent Christian minister, speaking on behalf of
all the Christians gathered there in this ancient Jewish House of Prayer,
referring to the Jewish people as their brothers! Once again, I was aware,
that in a very small way, in the unseen prophetic realm, in a brief moment
of time, the stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah were being made one
stick. It was a vision of the future! I remembered how I had the same sense
when I stood amongst my Jewish brothers in that rally in Trafalgar Square,
when - at the end of the rally - two national anthems were sung. As I
witnessed nearly fifty thousand Jewish people all around me singing "GOD
SAVE THE QUEEN" - it really did something for me. Then when, subsequently
some five thousand Christians joined the Jews in singing "HATIKVA," I
realised that this was a prophetic moment of great significance in the
heavenlies. The Jews, when they sang "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN," did not realise
that they were singing a prayer to God in which they asked Him to preserve
the Queen of Israel. The British national anthem is the only one in the
world that is actually a prayer addressed to the One and Only True God. The
very first word mentions His very Name. Elizabeth II, is indeed the linial
descendant of King David, seated upon the very throne of Israel. The
Christans for their part did not realise that in singing the "HATIKVA,"
that they were singing a prayer to God to bring about His promised
Messianic Kingdom, in which Messiah Ben David would rule over the UNITED
KINGDOM OF GREATER ISRAEL, COMPRISING THE TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL. I
believe that this is the true 'HATIKVA', THE TRUE 'HOPE' OF ISRAEL. It was
a truly fantastic moment. It has made a deep impression upon me. I will
never forget it, because there in that moment I saw in embryo the House of
Israel and the House of Judah coming together as one. There was such a
spirit of oneness and brotherhood in that Square, and I sensed the same
warmth of oneness and brotherhood in this ancient and most beautiful
synagogue in the City of London. I thank God for the privilege of being
there on both of these occasions to savour these prophetic moments.
Finally, I want to say that the Queen of Great Britain holds the crown by a
divine stewardship. She is merely the present day custodian of God's
promise to King David.
I HAVE MADE A COVENANT WITH MY CHOSEN. I HAVE SWORN TO MY SERVANT DAVID:
"YOUR SEED WILL I ESTABLISH FOREVER, AND BUILD UP YOUR THRONE TO ALL
GENERATIONS." "ONCE I HAVE SWORN BY MY HOLINESS; I WILL NOT LIE TO DAVID:
HIS SEED SHALL ENDURE FOREVER, AND HIS THRONE AS THE SUN BEFORE ME; IT
SHALL BE ESTABLISHED FOREVER AS THE MOON, EVEN LIKE THE FAITHFUL WITNESS IN
THE SKY". (Psalm 89: 3-4 & 35-37).

It is because I have come to appreciate these wonderful thruths, that the
singing of 'God Save the Queen' and the 'Hatikva' by Christian and Jew
alike on that day in Trafalgar Square, it made such a deep impression upon
me. Then when Christian and Jew gathered in that historic synagogue in the
city of London AS BROTHERS ACKNOWLEDGING THEIR BROTHERHOOD, I realised that
something was being worked out in the heavenlies. What I experienced was A
PROPHETIC EMBRIONIC REUNIFICATION OF THE HOUSE OF JUDAH AND THE HOUSE OF
JOSEPH.
BARUCH HASHEM - WHAT A WONDERFUL GOD WE SERVE!
SOON MAY HIS KINGDOM COME!
God bless you Yair - keep up the good work - greetings from your fellow
"Watchman on Mount Ephraim."
