This is not necessarily our own opinion but it is a possibility indicated
by Scripture and it is statistically and historically
possible. It is an opinion worth taking into account. Read on:

There have been a number of letters recently on the subject of the size of
the Israelite population. I believe the attached article gives us the
definitive and most astonishing answer.
According to the Covenant God made with Abraham
THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL IS TO HAVE A LARGE POPULATION

Flavius Josephus, the famous Jewish historian who witnessed and recorded the
sacking of the Temple and the destruction of Jerusalem by the Roman legions
in AD 70, wrote the following about the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel:
"The Ten Tribes are beyond Euphrates till now, and are an immense
multitude!"
It was common knowledge to the Jews of those days that the Ten Tribes of
Israel dwelt outside the boundaries of the Roman Empire east of the
Euphrates River. In fact the reason the Romans were never able to expand to
the east was because of the immense strength of the Hebrew speaking Parthian
Empire. These same Parthians were none other than the Israelite descendants
of the Ten Tribes of Israel who had been deported from the Northern Kingdom
of Israel by the Assyrians in 721 B.C. They were allied to Scythia, another
powerful Israelite nation located to the North West and the North East of
the Caspian Sea. Each Roman attempt to conquer the territory east of the
Euphrates had resulted in the most disastrous defeat. Over a period of
nearly three centuries they tried to go the way of Alexander the Great
before them, but the Parthians, frequently allied to the Scythians, always

Collins) The famous 19th century historian George Rawlinson wrote a number
of books about the Parthian Empire in an attempt to counter what he called a
"defective" and "false" view of history, which omitted the major role of the
Parthian Empire in history. Parthia in every which way was an equal
superpower to Rome. The pagan Roman Empire ruled the West, whereas the
Israelite Parthian Empire ruled the East, and thus they had divided the
world between themselves. As we have seen from the words of Josephus, the
Ten Tribes of Israel already were "an immense multitude" in his day, some
1900 years ago. The question is, where did these Israelite multitudes go?
The facts of history are that they did not stay where they were, but
instead, they crossed the Caucasus mountains into Europe, where most of them
eventually settled on the North West coast of Europe and also in the British
Isles.
One of the greatest authorities on this subject is Yair Davidy, who is a
Jewish scholar of outstanding intellect who lives in Jerusalem. One of his
most recent books is entitled "LOST ISRAELITE IDENTITY," in which he
conclusively proves the Hebrew ancestry of the Celtic races. He proves that
Tribes of Israelite descent by various paths migrated to the west and became
assimilated by Celtic civilisation. He brings evidence from the Bible,
Talmud, Archaeology, Mythology, Linguistics, Greek and Roman Authors, and
General History. His whole emphasis is on scholastically orientated sources
of information, and academically acceptable works references all the
important points in his book. Yair Davidy is also the author of three other
works on this subject, as he is the author of: "The Tribes," and also
"Ephraim," and "Joseph."
Another author of great scholarship on the migrations of the tribes of
Israel is Steven M. Collins, an American, who has written a benchmark book
entitled "THE 'LOST' TEN TRIBES OF ISRAEL.FOUND!" This most fascinating work
is a thrilling read, yet at the same time a work of exceptional scholarship
that is very well researched and documented. There is no need therefore for
me to go over ground that has already been covered by other authors.
So, where then is this great multitude today?

The reason we need to look for a very large Israelite population in the
world today is because a pivotal part of the covenant God made with Abraham
included the promise of immumerable descendants. One of the most prominent
promises contained in the 'birthright blessing' was that the descendants of
Abraham would be very numerous. Israel's history book puts it in beautifully
poetic language:
"Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants
as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore!"
(Genesis 22: 17)
On the face of it would appear that this promise has not been kept, because
where on earth are all of these numerous Israelites? People today, when they
think about Israel, they associate it with a teeny-weeny little country in
the Middle East surrounded by hostile Arab nations. Only some five million
Jews live in Israel and the other Jews in the world number no more that ten
or twelve million, and so, at the most there are some 17 million Jews in the
world who are of Israelite descent. So, where then are these innumerable
multitudes promised to Abraham's descendants? Surely, a population of only
seventeen million cannot count for having "descendants as the stars in
heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore." Even allowing for the use
of metaphor and a degree of poetic licence these expressions lead one to
think of many more than just seventeen million! Let's face it this hardly
describes a great multitude, does it? The truth is that if you go out from
the premise that the Jewish State of Israel, together with all the other
Jews in the Diaspora, constitutes 'all' of Israel, the promise God made to
Abraham makes no sense in that it has not been fulfilled. However, when we
examine the historical facts of the case, and discover that the ten tribes
of Israel split away from the kingdom in 975 B.C. to set up their own
separate kingdom to the north of Judah, it then all starts to make sense.
When we then go on to discover that this promise of the 'birthright' was not
made to Judah, the ancestor of the Jews, at all, but that the promise was
passed on to the two sons of Joseph instead, things really start to fall
into place.
Israel - God's own Tenth!

The 'birthright' promise of an innumerable multitude descending from Abraham
through his son Isaac have most certainly come true when you take into
account the combined populations of the world's Israelite nations today.
This has certainly come true, as the populations that have sprung from these
British Isles is truly staggering. Just look at our former American colonies
today. Look at Australia and Canada, as well as New Zealand. Notice also all
of the British ex patriot communities in South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe,
Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, as well as all of those in the Far East. The
'birthright' promises of the Abrahamic covenant were given to Ephraim and
Manasseh, the two sons of Joseph. The other tribes of Israel, although also
greatly blessed, would not inherit the actual 'birthright' blessing. Ephraim
and Manasseh were to become the most populous tribes of Israel. This means
they would also need the largest territory for their populations. Ephraim
and Manasseh, between them carved up the whole continent of N America.
Ephraim alone established yet another continent, Australia, as exclusive
territory for its expanding Island population.
For those who are aware of the identity of the nations who represent the
twelve tribes of Israel today, it is easy to calculate the approximate
numbers involved. If we count the current population of the United States of
America, Great Britain plus her white commonwealth countries, the nations of
N Western Europe, plus the Jews and all the Israelite ex patriot populations
worldwide, the total population comes to approx 600 million people. Yes,
believe it or not there are today around 600 million descendants of Jacob on
the earth, and remember, Jacob's name was changed to Israel! Incredible as
it may seem even the Scriptures confirm this fact, as Moses himself
prophesied that the children of Israel would become 'a thousand times more
numerous' than they were in his time. Read all about it in Israel's
consummate history book.

The Prophecy of Moses

Moses made a most astonishing prophecy! Moses himself prophesied that the
descendants of those Israelites that came out of Egypt, one day would number
six hundred million! In the Book of Exodus it records that there were some
600,000 Israelite males in the Exodus, besides women and children. Scholars
are agreed that these 600,000 males represented men of a military age who
were able to bear arms. Estimates of the total number making the Exodus vary
between two to three and a half million people. (Exodus 12: 37) In the Book
of Deuteronomy Moses addresses those same six hundred thousand Israelite men
that came out on foot in that great Exodus from Egypt by prophesying the
following words over them:
"May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous
than you are, and bless you as He has promised you! (Deuteronomy 1: 11)
A thousand times more than 600,000 = 600,000,000 (six hundred million), and
thus once again we see a prophecy spoken out around three and a half
thousand years ago, fulfilled to perfection in our time! Six hundred million
is far more than the 14 to 17 million Jews reckoned to be in the world
today, but then the Jewish people of today form only part of the picture.
Remember, Israel consists of twelve distinctive tribal groups.
With the total population of the world standing at around six billion this
means that a full ten percent of the worlds population is of Israelite
descent. According to the Bible the Israelites are God's 'chosen' people,
and it would appear therefore that in the 600 million combined population of
the Twelve Tribes of Israel, God has got Himself His tithe. This by
definition cannot be a coincidence, as according to the Law of Moses, the
first ten percent belongs to God!
Of the total population, the two sons of Joseph, the inheritors of the
'birthright', are by far the most populous. If one takes the population of
the USA into account, deducting from it the non Israelite Hispanic and black
sections, and adds this figure to the British populations around the world
including those of Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa, one
comes to a figure not far short of 300 million. Here yet again we have the
most wonderful confirmation of prophecy, as the two tribes of Ephraim and
Manasseh between them have a population nearly half as large as that of the
other ten tribes combined. Six hundred million Israelites in the world today
certainly is a staggering statistic and it surely can be described as a
"great multitude!" From this evidence, I think we can safely say that God
has well and truly fulfilled His covenant promise to Abraham. It must also
be a most comforting thought for the Jews to realise that after all this
time their fellow brother tribesmen have been located, and that they are not
alone in the world.
