1. DNA confusion?

News Flash:

You know all the tests tracing back living people's mtDNA to a most recent
common ancestor or matriarchal line? Well, in a December 1999 article in
the journal Science, Philip Awadalla of the University of Edinburgh,
Scotland basically says that those early assumptions may not be fully true.
If not, the rate of mutation for mtDNA, often thought of as 1 mutation
every 10,000 years, will have to be recalculated. He says this because
there may be some reason to suspect that male and female mtDNA somehow
combine. It has been known that male mtDNA in sperm is destroyed by the egg
after fertilization. It is anybody's guess how male DNA, mtDNA could be
involved with the female mtDNA. More studies will have to be done to
replicate this study and to further it. [See Philip Awadalla, Adam

2. Scythians

The article is a little outdated on minor points but still valid and worth
reading.

3. DNA Studies
I have recently spent some time examining DNA studies. First of all I am
somewhat skeptical concerning the validity
of DNA reports as presently represented and understood. Nevertheless, I
found (to my surprise, the media had given a different impression!)
that basically these studies support the Brit-Am position both concerning
Tribal identifications and other identifications of ours. We hope to begin
to explain this in a series of upcoming articles.

4. Craig White
Craig White has published a new book identifying the Sons of Noah with
present-day peoples.
We can rely on Craig to provide us with valuable historical and
ethnological insights.

5. Hebrew Edition
Our work in Hebrew is nearing completion. It is going through proof-reading
and editing and looks good. I am happy about it.
The completed version will be posted on the web and also published in book
form and hopefully distributed all over Israel.

6. Need for Funds
We need money to finance our Hebrew and upcoming English publications and
also in order to function.
Brit-Am is important. We have the potential to change things for the
better. Our message is a true one
and needs to be spread and clarified. Please help us though offerings and
book orders. Everything helps.

7. Biblical Proofs: North Country

The North Countryand Israel was discussed in our previous Biblical Proof
under the heading "Thighs" where we identified the North Country with North
America.
In addition:
We saw how (under the heading "Eagle") in Isaiah 43:6 the North was linked
in the Midrash (Sifrei, Haazinu 32:11) with the return of Israelite Tribes
via an eagle mentioned in Deuteronomy 32:11. The Bald-Headed Eagle is
symbol of the USA and
Micah 1:16 linked the exiles of Judah who were joining the Lost Ten Tribes
with a bald-headed eagle.

The north is mentioned in Isaiah 43;6:
[Isaiah 43:6] I WILL SAY TO THE NORTH, GIVE UP; AND TO THE SOUTH, KEEP NOT
BACK: BRING MY SONS FROM FAR, AND MY DAUGHTERS FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.
In Isaiah chapter 43 the Lost Tribes of Israel were linked with a world
power that at one stage would rule over India and Egypt and also be
associated with the transportation of African slaves in chains across the
Ocean. The British and American peoples fulfilled these terms.

             The indication that the Isles associated with the Children of
Israel are those washed by the Atlantic Ocean is substantiated by the fact
that they are associated with a North Country mentioned in Jeremiah. This
North Country is connected with the Lost Israelites and seems to be
considered their primary center.

             "Behold, I will bring them from the NORTH COUNTRY, and gather
them from the COASTS OF THE EARTH. For I am a father to Israel and Ephraim
is my firstborn.. Declare in the ISLES AFAR OFF, He that scattered Israel
will gather him.." (Jeremiah 31; 6-10).

"In those days the House of Judah shall walk with the House of Israel, and
they shall come together out of THE LAND OF THE NORTH to the land that I
have given for an inheritance unto your fathers" (Jeremiah 3; 18).

The Midrash says:

<<These are the Ten Tribes. They are those who were exiled beyond the
Sambation River. The exiles of Judah and Benyamin [i.e. the present-day
Jews] are destined to go unto them and bring them back in order to merit
with them the Messianic Era and life in the World-To-Come. This is as it
says, In those days the house of Judah shall go unto the house of Israel
and they shall come together out of the land of the north unto the land
that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers(Jeremiah 3;18).

The verse should be read according to the above as:
THE HOUSE OF JUDAH SHALL GO UNTO [rather than WALK WITH] THE HOUSE OF
ISRAEL. People from Judah and Benjamin (i.e. legal Jews) shall go unto the
Lost Ten Tribes who are beyond the Sambation River. In our works ("Ephraim"
and "The Tribes") we explained that the Sambation River means Israelite
Exiles who migrated to the west. The simple meaning is that Jews from Judah
will go unto the Lost Tribes to bring them back. It could be said that the
Jewish members of Brit-Am Israel is doing this to some degree. Also many
Gentiles who, support Brit-Am or have similar sympathies turn out to be
descended from Jews of Judah whose forefathers assimilated.

Another Midrash (Tanchuma B, Nizavim) says that only when the two halves of
Israel (Judah and the Ten Tribes) re-unite can the complete redemption of
both bodies be achieved.

             <<THEREFORE, BEHOLD, THE DAYS COME SAITH THE LORD, THAT IT
SHALL NO MORE BE SAID, THE LORD LIVETH, THAT BROUGHT UP THE CHILDREN OF
ISRAEL OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; BUT THE LORD LIVETH, THAT BROUGHT UP THE
CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FROM THE LAND OF THE NORTH, AND FROM ALL THE LANDS
WHITHER HE HAD DRIVEN THEM: AND I WILL BRING THEM AGAIN UNTO THEIR LAND
THAT I GAVE UNTO THEIR FATHERS>> (Jeremiah 16;14-15). Note that the Bible
implies that the Lost Ten Tribes are mostly in The Land of the North though
they are also to be found elsewhere. This is mentioned in the above verse:
From THE LAND OF THE NORTH, and from all the lands whither he had driven
them, e.g. from additional places such as Sinim (Australia) in Isaiah 49;
16. This is itself an identification-factor and suggests a people based in
the north with colonial-derived offshoots elsewhere. The British, North
Americans, and related peoples are the only ones who fit all the criteria
given in Scripture that identify the Lost Tribes of Israel in the End Time
period.

Brit-Am is revealing these truths and publicizing them. Brit-Am has merited
somehow to access truths that in many instances were revealed until now.
Brit-Am is also in a position to make these truths available to groups who
may otherwise not be aware of them or inclined to dismiss them without due
consideration. Brit-Am needs support to function and your participation.
