Brit-Am is holding an international
conference at Succoth, Wednesday 25
September, 2002.
The Conference will take place at the
Mount Zion Hotel in Jerusalem, and
will begin at 1730 (5:30 in the evening).
Fred Allen once said:
<<A conference is a gathering
of important people who singly can do
nothing, but together can decide that
nothing can be done>>.
OK. The above quotation is humorous.
There is some truth to it but we hope
it will not be applicable to us. We
are not necessarily all
considered important people but singly
we all have been able to do some
things and together we hope to do even
more.
The aim of our conference is to make
acquaintanceship with each other,
renew and strengthen contacts, exchange
opinions,
and receive as well as impart information.
We do not expect to be making any major
new decisions but we may discuss
how to make past decisions more operative.
The most important task Brit-Am has
at present is simply to spread the
Brit-Am message as much as possible.
It is worth coming to visit Israel.
If you agree with or even just sympathize
with Brit-Am it is worth meeting
us and other people like yourselves.
We would also like to meet you and
speak with you and hear what you have to
say and how you would like to see Brit-Am
develop.
The arrangements:
Rick Richardson and Eddie Chumney are
bringing a group of their own over
for Succot. They are hiring the hotel
for their group.
The group is discussed on originsofourfaith.com
and it aims to give
Christians a perspective of their Hebrew
heritage in the religious sense
though they are also very sympathetic
to the Brit-Am message.
The group is Christian and for Christians
whereas Brit-Am is both Jewish
and non-Jewish but not Christian though
many Christians are members or
sympathizers of Brit-Am.. We are prepared
to work with anybody who will
work with us within reason as long
as the people we work with are not
anti-semitic and do not attempt to
make Jews believe in non-Jewish concepts.
We are being hosted by the group, speaking
to them, and they are assisting
us BUT there is no organizational connection
between us.
WE HAVE A GOOD IMPRESSION OF THE GROUP
BUT THEY ARE OPERATING INDEPENDENTLY
OF US.
We like them, they are helping us,
we are co-operating with them and will
be holding our conference with them
but the distinction between us should
be kept in mind.

the group arrangements contact

On Wednesday 25 September, 2002 Rabbi
Avraham Feld of Brit-Am and Yair
Davidiy will be speaking in the morning
to the group,
then in the afternoon we may continue
with discussion or some other activity.
In the evening the organizers of the
group have offered Brit-Am the use of
the Hotel for the Brit-Am Conference.
Members and sympathizers of Brit-Am
present in Jerusalem or from outside
the city will come to the Mount Zion
Hotel
and together with those members of
the group who may be interested we will
begin the Conference.
People who wish to attend the Brit-Am
Conference can come to Israel as part
of the group or
THEY MAY COME INDEPENDENTLY and make
their own arrangements
but arriving at the Mount Zion Hotel
on Wednesday 25 September, 2002 at 1730.
The bottom line is (if you are interested)
try to be in Jerusalem on the
right day and come to the Hotel
at the time the Conference starts off.
