1. Lost tribes and Wales. From: Connie Davis.
Shalom Yair, I am of Welsh decent and am trying to identify which tribes may have been dispersed to Wales. I bought d read 4 of your books including Origin, Joseph, Biblicaal Truth, and Ephraim. However, I was not able to identify any tribes in that area in particular. I am trying desperately to find my Jewish roots and would appreciate any guidance you may be able to provide. Thank you so much.
Brachas, Tama' Davis
Answer:
Shalom, In our work "The Tribes" we traced the people of Wales to Joseph, Simeon, and Dan. This book is now out of print but is being sent out to the list in serialized form in addition to which a new printing may well take place soon. Apart from that we are refining our Tribal definitions research and additional more specific information should eventually be available. God bless you Yair
2. Ephraim is England
Subject: The Real Ephraim answer
Ephraim is England. Only one simple proof is needed. (below)
"In the book of Judges, 42,000 of the tribe of Ephraim died at the passages of Jordan. Why? Because their enemies made them take a test before they would let them through. They had to say a word that contained an H. When they couldn't pronounce the "H," they were identified as Ephraimites and killed on the spot! (Judges 12:5,6) It is well known that the British do not pronounce the letter H. They don't say hello, they say "ello." The British people are believed to be the tribe of Ephraim whose mascot was the bull. W. H. Bennett in Our Celto-Saxon Heritage says Ephraim's tribal banner was a "bull." England's mascot, the bull goes all the way back to the Baal calf of Jeroboam, the Ephraimite! In fact the Hebrew word for calf is 'Aegel. Aegel-ish, meaning "calf man, eventually was pronounced English."
No need for any other proof! LOL Cindy T Answer: Cindy Shalom, Regarding the second point concerning Aegel you are correct. England is named after the Angles (Angle-land). The Angles were also called Aegli and the very term "Angli" is probably derived from an alternative pronounciation of "Aegel". In Hebrew Aegel (bull-calf) is spelled with three letters: Ayin-Gimel-Lamed It is normally pronounced as "Aegel". The first letter (Ayin) however in some dilaects (such as Ashkenazic-European-Hebrew) may be pronounced as "An" and we thus would have "angel' or "Angle". In addition to the linguistic possibility we have recorded instances in which the Angles were called "Aegli" and we have traced them to historical groups in Scythia known as Aegloi and Augali. Jeremiah (31:17) refers to Ephraim as an aegel (bull-calf) and Rashi also says that "Aegel" was a nick-name for Ephraim, the Ephraimites could be referred to in Hebrew as "Angli" or Angles. On the first point (concerning the "h") however it may not be correct:
[Judges 12:5] AND THE GILEADITES TOOK THE PASSAGES OF JORDAN BEFORE THE EPHRAIMITES: AND IT WAS SO, THAT WHEN THOSE EPHRAIMITES WHICH WERE ESCAPED SAID, LET ME GO OVER; THAT THE MEN OF GILEAD SAID UNTO HIM, ART THOU AN EPHRAIMITE? IF HE SAID, NAY; [Judges 12:6] THEN SAID THEY UNTO HIM, SAY NOW SHIBBOLETH: AND HE SAID SIBBOLETH: FOR HE COULD NOT FRAME TO PRONOUNCE IT RIGHT. THEN THEY TOOK HIM, AND SLEW HIM AT THE PASSAGES OF JORDAN: AND THERE FELL AT THAT TIME OF THE EPHRAIMITES FORTY AND TWO THOUSAND.
The Ephraimites pronounced Shiboleth as Sibboleth. What should have been an "sh" sound (as in "ship", Sheep, shape) they pronounced as "s" as in sit, silt, sock. In Middle Eastern dialects of the the phenomenon existed of one group pronouncing certain words with an "sh" while others pronounced them with an "s". Examples are known from Assyrian and Phoenician studies.
3. Important: Brit-Am Needs Brit-Am is in need of funds in order to keep going.
We need to obtain a new computer, meet current expenses, functional needs, and if possible begin to also make others more aware of our existence and message.
We now have the materials both in English and Hebrew to make an effect and also greater know-how in the relevant fields.
There is also a store of new information and insights that needs to be made public.
We believe that Brit-Am can potentially reach people in Israel and all over the world especially in "Israelite" nations and we can convince them of the truth of the Brit-Am message through the knowledge we have already obtained and made public and also through additional information that we now have or are in the process of obtaining. From some respects no further proof should be needed since many of the proofs appear irrefutable. In a sense this is true but not everybody sees it that way and the more evidence that is made available the better. Even the proofs that are already known receive extra potency when viewed in the light of new discoveries. This research is very important in its own right for its own sake BUT it is also imperative that it be made available to as many as those potentially interested amongst the peoples of both Judah and "Joseph". Brit-Am does a lot of good in several fields. The general well-being of both Judah and Joseph (that Brit-Am promotes) is also a Biblical injunction. Through helping Brit-Am you are doing the will of the Almighty.
