Merlin had a point. Sharon Sedeen simply asked a question. Note when she said "if this is true," showing that she had read stuff from anti-Jewish sites but was unsure of what to believe. Oftentimes people can write or speak things in such a way that seem very convincing. If she were simply to keep quiet and not ask for your thoughts, those teaching would permeate into her deeper thinking and she would become anti-Jewish. I might have asked you a question concerning the Serpent Seed doctrine before to get your input, but you weren't offended by me. Perhaps it's just because of the frequency in which I write to you that you know me a little better than a new person e-mailing you. You really do have to control your sensitivities a bit more sometimes. Maybe you get a lot of hate mail that makes you lose your cool with others? We all do that from time to time. If I am having a rough day at work, I get snappy and can react to someone negatively when they never meant anything harmful or offensive.
With someone like Sharon, she needs facts only, not premature criticism.
Also I want you to know that I'm not trying to criticize you. I just want you to be able to see what I see to help you understand.

We were expressing concern for the psychological well-being of the person spoken to. They had evidently, either deliberately or by accident, imbued dangerously poisonous pollutant and for the sake of their health we were encouraging them to vomit this destructive element out of their system.

The person concerned may or may not be descended from Edomites. The question however seemed to be important to her and perhaps unconsciously it reflected an instinctive identification and arousal.
We were simply commiserating.
Edomites have been given a bad press.
There were good Edomites in the Bible.
Obadiah saved the lives of the Prophets who king Ahab of Israel (1 Kings 18:3) was trying to kill.
He hid them and fed them. According to tradition he is the same individual as the prophet who wrote the Biblical Book of Obadiah against Edom.
One never knows who one really is.
I, for instance, had no idea I had Irish ancestors until a DNA test and a genealogical query I sent to my aunty unveiled the family scandal about a pregnancy out of wedlock some generations back.
[These days the social workers would have advocated abortion which would have deprived Brit-Am subscribers of yours truly!]
We cannot help being what we are.
Rather than being censured, Brit-Am should be congratulated on the sensitivity and delicate formulations it uses in answering questions like the ones Sharon posed to us.

Please do not send me messages concerning Brit-Am matters on Facebook.
I try not to use Facebook for anything, at least not at present.
We are preparing a quite short article on Esau/Edom which will add to the plentiful information already on our web-site.
We may one day write a book about Edom.
At the moment we have other priorities and demands on our time and resources.
We might however possibly make the necessary adjustments if we were to receive the necessary financial boost the project would require.

Thank you for your concern about my moral probity and the future of my grandchildren.
You quote the example of Abraham and in a way you are correct.
Abraham DID NOT WANT TO EXPELL Ishmael forefather of the Arabs.
His wife Sarah did.
Like many males my relatively few faults include a slight measure of misogyny.
As far as I am concerned the husband should be always right.
The problem is, there are exceptions. This was one of them.
Abraham was informed, to listen to his missus.

Sarah saw that Ishmael and Isaac could not get along. The only solution she saw was to expel Ishmael. Many of the Arabs are descended from Ishmael and even those who are not speak the language of Ishmael and share Ishmaelite concepts and thought processes. The only solution today is the same as it was then, the Arab-Palestinians should be sent away. This can be done humanely, without violence, or it could have been in the past. As things are going at present the Jewish community in the Land of Israel may ultimately be obliged to forcibly eject the Palestinian entity in order to survive.
How are your neighbors?
Did not something occur recently at Fort Hood in Texas?
What about the grandchildren of the innocent victims whose lives were taken by the Palestinian Arab Nidal Malik Hasan?
For some of them there will now be no grandchildren.
Do you want the same to happen to the Jews in Israel?

I am quite prepared to love the Arabs when they are at a distance.
The farther away they manage to get the easier it should be for me to love them.
