1. Brit-Am Interpretation of Isaiah
11:14 Disputed by Meyer Stahl and Brit-Am Reply.
From: "meyer stahl"
Subject: Re: Brit-Am Now no. 1638: Flying Palestinians to the West?
Yair, You took Isa.11:14 out of context. Isa.11:1 introduces The Messiah and His
Kingdom. He gathers together all 12 tribes of Israel and brings them back to the
land of Israel v.6 a time of peace. v.8-9 children protected, earth full of
knowledge of The Lord. v. 10 Gentiles seek Messiah v.11 remnant of people coming
back to land. v.12 all Jews coming back to land. v.13 Judah and Ephraim at peace
.v.14 You have interpreted wrongly. look at v.15-16 a highway for His people to
return to land. Now read v.14 in CONTEXT But they shall fly upon the shoulders
of the Philistines toward the west;they shall lay their hands upon Edom and Moab
(all enemies of Israel); and the children of Ammon shall obey them. There is no
need to interpret v.14. Meyer Stahl.
Brit-Am Reply:
I do not understand your point since you do not relate to the meaning of
the Hebrew that we explained and that we will expand on below.
Concerning Isaiah chapter 11, You interpret the chapter in consecutive order.
This is acceptable and probable.
See the Brit-Am Summary of Isaiah chapter 11 which also presents a scenario in
chronological order (as you have done) following the verse sequence.
http://www.britam.org/isaiah/
Isaiah11to15.html
First of all the actual realization of Prophecy does not have to be in
chronological order.
Even if chronological order is accepted the fact that certain events are
foreshadowed by governmental policies or historical tendencies lends a deeper
appreciation to the ultimate reality that we expect to take place.

The Proposed Movement of Arab Populations.
http://www.britam.org/Expulsion.html
You will notices three main points behind the Brit-Am advocation of encouraging
Arab Emigration.
(a) Practical and Humane Considerations. it is for the good of the Palestinians
as well as of everybody else.
(b) It is a Divine Commandment and Imperative Warning in the Bible:
'If you do not drive out inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will
be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will constantly
fight with you over the land in which you live. And as I plan to do to them, so
I will do to you.' (Numbers 33:55-56).
(c) It was prophesied in Isaiah 11:14 that Ephraim and Judah are destined to act
together in this matter therefore such action is positive and
it is worthy that it be considered. Whether or nor the prophecy of Isaiah binds
us to a time-table and an ordering of priorities is another question.
Even if you disagree with our interpretation of Isaiah 11:14 the principle that
the Palestinians must be transferred still reamains.
Now let us discuss Isaiah 11:14. The preceding two verses spoke of Judah and
Ephraim reuniting or at least drawing close together.
[Isaiah 11:14]
But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west;
Together they shall plunder the people of the East;
They shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
And the people of Ammon
shall obey them.
All that concerns us at present is the expression,
# But they shall fly down upon the
shoulder of the Philistines toward the west #.
Here we have the words "fly down" or simply "fly" which is what the Hebrew says,
VaYa-ufu". This is agreed.
In modern terminology this connotes fly by airoplane.
The words translated as "upon the shoulder" in our opinion mean "wing" or
"fixed wing".
In Modern Hebrew the usual word for wing is "canaf" which is related tot he word
for shoulder "cataf".
The difference between "canaf" (wing) and "cataf" (shoulder) is, to our mind,
that "canaf" connotes shoulder that bends like the wing of a bird.
The wing of an airoplane does not bend therefore "cataf" is more appropriate.
At all events Ephraim and Judah are flying something so we may presume it is
airoplanes.
The Philistine are Palestinians.
This is the modern equivalent and the most logical deduction.
In other times Commentators proposed other solutions.
Don Isaac Abarbanel (1437-1508) says he found in ancient books the tradition
that the inhabitants of Genoa and Venice were descended from the Philistines.
Genoa is on the northwest coast of Italy and Venice on the northeast facing the
Adriatic Sea. Concerning Venice the linguist and historian Eduard Meyer
(1855-193) did believe the Philistines were related to Ancient peoples on the
eastern coast of the Adriatic not far from Venice. In the time of Abarbanel both
Venice and Genoa were independent city-states with vast maritime connections and
overseas colonies of their own. In his age equating the Philistines with these
polities would have made sense. In our time these two cities are not much more
than tourist attractions alongside other places of equal attraction on the
Italian scene.
Assuming that we are near the End Times and that Prophecy speaks to us we equate
the Philistines with Palestinians because:
In ancient times the Philistines were centered in the south of Israel in Gaza,
Ashkelon, Ashdod, Ekron, and Gath, etc.
They were also in Beth-Shean and other areas east of the Galilee.
Nowadays the Palestinians are found throughout Israel but especially in Gaza and
the Israeli Negev and also in the Galilee.
The geographical location more or less overlaps.
The Palestinians call themselves "Palestinian". Palestine is a Latinised form of
the very name "Philistia" i.e. Land of the Philitines".
They actually all themselves Philistines"!
The Palestinians are descended from many peoples but their ancestors to some
degree also include Canaanites and Philistines. There is a physical ancestral
connection between the two.
We therefore have the option that Ephraim and Judah will fly the Palestinians "yamah"
meaning "to the sea" or "to the west".
The Hebrew DOES NOT SAY "against". They are not going to go to fly against the
Palestinians. They are going to fly them to the west!
There is a Biblical commandment for them to do this.
The Hebrew language in Isaiah 11:14 makes the most sense if understood as we
have explained it.
What therefore is wrong with our explanation?
Unless of course one has ideological or misplaced "humanitarian" reasons for not
wanting to accept the possibility?

4. Question on the
Dacians
in Rumania
"Matthew" wrote:
My fiancee is from Romania and I have been doing some research on
the history of that region. Romania was originally populated by people known
as Dacians, before the Roman conquest in 106 A.D. It seems that there is a
connection between the Dacians and Celts, and possibly Scandinavians as they
migrated along the Danube.
Can anyone shed some light on how Romanians (Dacians) might be related to the
Ten Tribes of Israel?
Matthew.
Brit-Am Reply:
The Dacians and Getes were kindred peoples who in ancient times occupied the
region of Rumania and parts of the neighboring areas.
They were related to the Parthians and were monotheists.
Dacia was conquered by the Romans in 105 CE, many Dacians were killed while
others fled. Settlers from elsewhere were brought in.
In "The Tribes" we trace the Dacians mainly to the Tribe of Dan.
They migrated to Denmark and from there also to the British Isles and Normandy.
Our impression was that little connections exists between them and the
present-day inhabitants of Rumania
but one never knows. The Dacians were often described as having red hair and
blue eyes and such features are still to be found amongst the present-day
Romanians though they are more common amongst the Jews from that region than
Gentiles.
There were also Jews, Khazars, and Goths in Rumania and some of their
descendants may still be there.
Nevertheless on the whole we would not include the Rumanians amongst Israelite
peoples.
They did not comply with our Ephraimite Criteria:

Extracts:
...The mission that Brit-Am has focused on has kept alive a Biblical teaching
that others have tried to bury ..that there are in fact lost tribes dispersed
around the world. Brit-Am has correctly assessed this fact using the Bible and
that they are concentrated primarily within the Christian nations which used to
stand for the principles established by the Noachide laws (justice, sexual
purity, etc) because the laws of those nations used to go directly to the Bible
for their foundation.
The world is becoming the enemy....We can expect chaos in the world while it
loses its moorings which used to be based upon these laws of Noah.
Where does that put this speck of humanity, this little mouse of an organization
called Brit-Am?
Right at the top quite frankly.
G-d doesn't lie.
...If we follow the example of David...even small smooth stones in the arms of a
small man with a heart for the G-d of Yisrael can topple a giant and make the
enemy flee.
..those that study the Scriptures know that Brit-Am is focused on a Biblical
Truth versus theological fiction. The fact that Brit-Am even exists shows that
the love of G-d surpasses all the negatives that this world has to offer us.
Please help keep this Biblical focused organization alive for the sake of the
Word of G-d.
