Psalms 110
A PSALM OF DAVID
[Psalms 110:1] THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD, SIT THOU AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE  THINE ENEMIES THY FOOTSTOOL.
THE LORD SAID UNTO MY LORD. Should be translated, GOD ALMIGHTY [Tetragamatton] SAID UNTO MY MASTER [Hebrew "Adoni"]. This Psalm could be the work of someone else on behalf of David or David referring to the Future Messiah as his master. God promises him dominion over his enemies.

[Psalms 110:2] THE LORD SHALL SEND THE ROD OF THY STRENGTH OUT OF ZION: RULE THOU IN THE  MIDST OF THINE ENEMIES.
Zion being Jerusalm is the future capital of all Israel from whence the world will be administered.

[Psalms 110:3] THY PEOPLE SHALL BE WILLING IN THE DAY OF THY POWER, IN THE BEAUTIES OF  HOLINESS FROM THE WOMB OF THE MORNING: THOU HAST THE DEW OF THY YOUTH.
THY POWER. Hebrew "chailecha" from the root "chail" or rather pronounced closer to "hail". We have discussed this word before. It means both "strength" and "soldier". So too we have an English word "hale" in the past also written as "hail" which means "strength" (as in the expression "Hale and Hearty") and in Old English also meant a soldier.

SHALL BE WILLING. Hebrew "nedevot" connoting in Modern Hebrew "volunteering". The Israelites will gladly volunteer to serve the future king.
BEAUTIES OF  HOLINESS. The army will be sanctified and holy. It will be delight to see.
OF THE MORNING. Hebrew "Me-Shachar" which can also connote "searching after, seeking out".
There will be the power of renewal, of purification and vigor in the forces of the king.
From the time we were born we have desired this.
The legends of King Arthur in a sense were also reflections of a yearning for the future Messiah.

[Psalms 110:4] THE LORD HATH SWORN, AND WILL NOT REPENT, THOU ART A PRIEST FOR EVER AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK.
AFTER THE ORDER OF. Hebrew "al-dibrati" i.e.  "according to what has been related concerning".
You are a priest not in the same way as the Cohens who officiate in the Temple are Priests but rather
in the sense  that you intermediate between the Almighty and the people and instruct them.
This is similar to the task that fulfilled by MELCHIZEDEK in the time of Abraham (Gnesis ch.14).
MELCHIZEDEK was both a Priest of the Almighty and King of Jerusalem. The future Messiah will fulfill a similar function.
MELCHIZEDEK in Hebrew is  "Malci-Tsedek" which means "King of Righteousness".  This may also be considered a title and only coincidentally recalled the "MELCHIZEDEK" whom we meet with from the time of Abraham.

[Psalms 110:5] THE LORD AT THY RIGHT HAND SHALL STRIKE THROUGH KINGS IN THE DAY OF HIS WRATH.

[Psalms 110:6] HE SHALL JUDGE AMONG THE HEATHEN, HE SHALL FILL THE PLACES WITH THE DEAD BODIES; HE SHALL WOUND THE HEADS OVER MANY COUNTRIES.
OVER MANY COUNTRIES. Hebrew "eretz-rabah" which literally connotes "a wide stretch of land".

[Psalms 110:7] HE SHALL DRINK OF THE BROOK IN THE WAY: THEREFORE SHALL HE LIFT UP THE HEAD.
Daat Mikra suggests that the Psalm speaks in praise of the armies of Israel that were expert in the ways of nature to find brooks of water and drink before battle in order to gain strength. Scripture refers to the virtues of drinking water elsewhere,  e.g. HE DRINKETH NO WATER, AND IS FAINT [Isaiah 44:12].   From here we can learn that by drinking water tiredness may be averted.
