Psalm 146

The God of Israel is the only God! Haleluyah!

 1 Praise the LORD! [Haleluyah]
 Praise the LORD, O my soul!

We have to praise God the Almighty.
There is none other!
Things happen. Life can be difficult. Most of us are glad to be alive most of the time. We realize that most of our troubles and deficiencies are caused by ourselves or by those of whom we are part. God is good. Sometimes HE tests us.
Often we have psychological
inhibtions against recognizing the goodness of the Almighty. We are afraid of not receiving what we feel we still need.
We all have our own imperfections and
lackings. Each one of us is an individual and must face their MAKER alone at some point.
Neverthless we need to own up to the fact that on the whole (at least, if not to our limited understanding, all the time) God is good to us.
None of us are saints. Still we need to thank God.
We need to be positive towards God, towards ourselves, and towards others.

 2 While I live I will praise the LORD;
         I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

We call on our inner conscious existence to praise God.
It is not for nothing that "
Haleluyah" is often perceived as a war-cry! It is a declaration of the truth and our recognition of it.  There is a God in Israel!

 3 Do not put your trust in princes,
         Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

We should not trust others. We should beware of people misleading us and duping us into departing from the straight and narrow.

 4 His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
         In that very day his plans perish.

Even if the person who is misleading us is genuine and really believes they can help us and deliver on their promises we should avoid them. God alone should be our guide and help and source of refuge.

 5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
         Whose hope is in the LORD his God,

The God of Jacob is the God of Israel. HE is the Almighty. There is no other. God created heaven and earth and everything else. HE is indeed a Universal Being in so being that all else was created by HIM.
Nevertheless HE so decided to reveal HIMSELF to mankind as the GOD OF ISRAEL!

There is no Allah, no Universal Prime Deity. Nothing! There is ONLY the God of Israel! HE is the God of Jacob!

 6 Who made heaven and earth,
         The sea, and all that is in them;
         Who keeps truth forever,

HE made everything and will keep HIS promises to HIS people!

 7 Who executes justice for the oppressed,
         Who gives food to the hungry.
         The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.

God looks after those who are in need. We should do the same.  We all have an obligation to do what we should in this world according to our abilities.

 8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind;
         The LORD raises those who are bowed down;
         The LORD loves the righteous.

God heals the sick and helps those who need help. God also performs miracles.  We should pray to God as often as we can. Sometimes we may find it difficult. Nevertheless we need to do what we can, as we can.

 9 The LORD watches over the strangers;
         He relieves the fatherless and widow;
         But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

There are people in the world who are unfortunate, - a lot of them. At some points in our lives many of us land up in similar situations, at least for a time: - If not us, then someone who is part of us. Life is a cycle.  The person you help today may help you or your children in the future or the simple good deed you do will be paid back to your descendants when they need it. Or maybe you are paying back a debt incurred by your forefathers? Do what you can. Ask not too many questions but keep your eyes open and the LORD will give you understanding.

 10 The LORD shall reign forever?
         Your God, O Zion, to all generations.
                  Praise the LORD! [Haleluyah]

God is the God of Israel.
God is the God of the Ten Tribes.
God is the God of the Jews.
God wants the Jews to keep their religion, learn the Torah and pray unto HIM!
God is a Zionist!
HE is also an American and whatever else Israelites need HIM to be.
God will deliver all the Tribes of Israel and show each and everyone of us what we should do.
This is where HE meets us. HE is there. Here.
Haleluyah
