On 24 December, Israeli father-of-seven Meir Chai, 45, was murdered in a terror
attack in the West Bank. This act of murder received scant coverage in the
international media (irrespective of the timing during the holiday season). The
Israeli response, however, which saw three terrorists responsible for the fatal
attack killed in an IDF raid, generated some disgraceful headlines.
The Associated Press, whose content was reproduced in many international media
outlets, led with:
3 Fatah Activists Killed in Israeli Raid
Why does the AP refer to "activists" and not terrorists? Even if the media is
reluctant to call a terrorist by name, surely the use of the word "activist" is
totally inaccurate, untruthful and simply downplays the nature of dangerous,
armed and ideologically motivated murderers. There is a huge difference between
"activism" and "terrorism".
NY Times
Israeli Military Kills 6 Palestinians
Including the deaths of another three Palestinians, killed on the same day
carrying out suspicious activity near the Gaza border fence, this New York Times
headline was indicative of many media outlets' coverage:
Both the AP and NY Times failed to provide the relevant context in their
headlines. The IDF did not set out to kill Palestinians for no reason. This
operation was a direct response to a terror attack and was aimed at those who
were directly responsible for the murder of an Israeli citizen.
In similar vein, the Daily Telegraph led with:
Six Palestinians shot dead in bloody Gaza anniversary
The newspaper's story referred to "three suspected militants". Yet, only a few
lines later, the article states that Palestinian sources said two were members
of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. At what point does a "suspected militant"
become a confirmed one?
Also interesting to note was the failure to publish the announcement that a
ballistics analysis showed that weapons found in the house of one of the
terrorists were those used in the murder of Meir Chai. This information was
released by the IDF some hours before the Daily Telegraph's story was published
yet was not included.

News Reports on Arab Reaction to Execution of Palestinian Murderers Arab Assassins Were Disappointed
with Level of Remuneration!
23:52 The killing of the three Fatah operatives in Nablus by the IDF over the
weekend could trigger a third intifada, Fatah officials warned on Sunday,
according to the Jerusalem Post. But the new intifada, they said, would be
different from the first two - this time it would be directed against the
Palestinian Authority. During the funerals of the three men, all veteran members
and leaders of Fatah's armed wing, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades, thousands of
Palestinians chanted slogans accusing the PA of collusion with Israel and
calling for an end to security coordination with Israel and the dismantling of
the PA. It was, in the words of a local journalist, ''one of the biggest
anti-Palestinian Authority demonstrations'' in many years. (Guysen.International.News)
Friends and relatives of the Fatah operatives who were killed in the recent IDF
operation accused the PA of failing to fulfill its "commitments" to give them
more money and good jobs. Some did not rule out the possibility that the Fatah
cell that murdered Rabbi Meir Chai last week had received money from an
"outside" party, such as Hizbullah or even Hamas. In the past, there were a
number of cases where Fatah militiamen in the West Bank openly admitted to
receiving funds from Hizbullah. The gunmen justified their action by arguing
that the PA had failed to "compensate" them for the "sacrifices" they made in
the fight against Israel.

#3. White People Do Not Get it. http://britam.org/jerusalem2/jerusalem891.html#White Query:
Michelle Bowie asked:
Shalom Yair...okay..I
don't get it. I read the article under the above title and am wondering...what
is it exactly referring to?
What exactly, is it that white people don't get? Brit-Am Replies: The point of the note was that it may be that the USA and the
whole of Western Civilization as we know is in danger,
that things have gotten worse than we realize and are liable to worsen still
further.
I sincerely hope not but a lot of the statistics and expert opinion appears to
be pessimistic.
I meant to say,
To the degree that we had anything and still may have it was not because we were
innately better.
It was because of a promise from on HIGH and also because a few amongst us tried
to get close
to the Almighty through Bible Study and Practice as they understood it.
This attitude of the chosen few percolated throughout all of society and
affected everybody everywhere.
Now it is going.
There may be manifold possibilities to work towards a solution but the overall
aim should be to try again in the same direction as before but with renewed
strength and understanding.
It may (or may not) be that we have innate gifts that may give us an advantage
in certain circumstance but it takes the Bible to bring them out.
It was not any inherited superiority that gave us what we had to the extent that
we had it.
It also would necessarily require that much of an effort to return to what we
could have been.
We addressed this message to "White People" to attract attention and also since
they are the ones who are hurting and most of the Lost Ten Tribes consider
themselves as part of them.
Neverthless this is not necessarily so and the message is pertinent to
whomsoever it speaks unto.
Deuteronomy
Chapter Nine:
1 Hear, O Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go in to
dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and
fortified up to heaven,
2 a people great and tall, the descendants of the Anakim, whom you know, and of
whom you heard it said, "Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?"
3 Therefore understand today that the LORD your God is He who goes over before
you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so
you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the LORD has said to you.
4 Do not think in your heart, after the LORD your God has cast them out before
you, saying, "Because of my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess
this land"; but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the LORD
is driving them out from before you.
5 It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that
you go in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations
that the LORD your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill
the word which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
6 Therefore understand that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land
to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stiff-necked people.
