Yair, Brian Patmore has it right.
The covenant of the Law at Sinai is most specific. "If you keep my commandments,
you shall be to me a holy nation, a kingdom of priests." That covenant was
renewed to Israel in Jer 31:31ff, and confirmed again in Jer 33:25,26.
A priest cannot be a priest to himself, becuse the priest stands BETWEEN God and
man. The purpose of the covenant is for Israel to take the law of God to the
nations. The priesthood goes wider than Levi or the house of Aaron. It is for
all of ISRAEL.

[Exodus 19:6] AND YE SHALL BE UNTO ME A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS, AND AN HOLY NATION.
A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS. In Hebrew "Mamlecet [Kingdom] Cohanim".
The word "Chanim" is translated as "Priests" and that is one of its meanings.
In Hebrew it also means officials or rulers.
Rashi: ##COHANIM. Princes [i.e. Rulers] as it says, (1-Samuel 8:18)
AND DAVID'S SONS WERE CHIEF RULERS##
Here the expression CHIEF RULERS in Hebrew is COHANIM which in Exodus 19:6
is translated as PRIESTS.

##CHIEF RULERS##, In Hebrew "Cohanim". The King James Version here translates "Cohanim"
as chief rulers in accordance with traditional Jewish understanding (see Targum
Yehonatan) though "Cohanim" usually means "priests".

Rabbi S.R. Hirsch and others agree with you that the task of Judah and
Israel was originally
intended through good example and instruction to lead all nations of the world
along the right path.
We cannot therefore entirely disagree with you.
Nevertheless helping other peoples and elevating their moral consciousness etc
does not mean teaching them
to obey the Torah Law.

There is no definite proof that can be applied in individual cases.
All of our arguments apply only in the aggregate.
No one person can be absolutely sure that they descend from the Lost Ten Tribes
of Israel.
We may however be fairly certain that a good portion of members in certain
groups do.

We quoted from "Daat Mikra" holds that the references to "Sodom and Her
daughters" indicates the future rehabilitation
of the Land of Israel.

Nowadays different plans have been drawn up for canals from the Mediterranean
Sea to the
Dea Sea and from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.
These plans also involve the production of electricity and of fresh water
through desalination processes.
We believe these plans are worth pursuing and may well save the State of from
overdue suffering due to
the present World Economic Crisis.
Perhaps the future rehabilitation of the southern Negev area (the former region
of Sedom) will presage the
return of Northern Israelites?
The area of Sedom is in the south of Israel around the Dea Sea region.
Historically this neighborhood also included that of neighboring Jordan.

To be effective these projects would be facilitated by evacuating the Arab

5. The Order of Return of Judah and
Joseph

Ezekiel (11:18) hints that first the exiles will return to the Land of
Israel and after that they shall put away their idols and keep the Law (11:20).
Ezekiel says that Judah has an obligation to help the Lost Ten Tribes return.
The complete return of Judah is dependent upon the return of "Samaria" (16:53,
55, 61) meaning the Ten Tribes especially Manasseh. Manasseh today is mainly the
USA. God will renew His covenant with Judah and with Israel (16:62).
