2. Monotheistic End Times Comparison
The lists below are taken from another list and from an URl.
They are apparently accurate only to a limited degree.
The Jewish List leaves out quite a few things and attaches importance to things that were said
in one source though they may not be in accordance with that said in another.
It also forgot to mention the return of the ten Tribes considered an Article of faith by the Abarbanel
and other things.
The points that are mentioned were not necessarily meant to be taken as things that HAD to happen but rather as the
opinion of one of the sages as to what would happen whereas most of the Sages may not have agreed.
This is a departure of the usual subject matter of Brit-Am for the sake of interest
but we do not want to make an issue out of anything.
Some Christians will doubtlessly contest what is in the Christian List
and the Moslem List has already been challenged.
Nevertheless, the lists are interesting (though perhaps only accurate to a limited degree)
in so far as they reflect something of the innate or acquired psychology of their adherents.
According to the Old Testament and Jewish Talmud, Jews believe
these
things about the last days:
1) The world will either be in a state of complete righteousness or
complete degradation.
2) Truth will decrease and lies will prevail.
3) Inflation will be out of control.
4) The Jews will return to their biblical homeland and the desert
will bloom.
5) There will be fewer and fewer wise and righteous people.
6) Many Jews will give up the hope of redemption.
7) The young will treat the old with disrespect.
8) Learning will be rejected because people will desire a life of
ease.
9) The whole world will turn against Israel.
10) The Jews will fight each other (the secular against religious).
11) In the war of Gog and Magog, God will defeat Israel's enemies
and
confirm that the nation of Israel is God's chosen people.
12) Earthly redemption will last 6000 years then eternity will
start.
In Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and Revelation, Jesus taught these
signs of the last days:
1) Wars and rumors of wars among the nations.
2) Famine and plagues (epidemics).
3) There will be many false messiahs.
4) The return of the Jews to the land of Israel.
5) The restoration of the nation of Israel.
6) The Gospel spreads to all nations of the earth.
7) Many false prophets arise.
8) The Jerusalem Temple will be rebuilt.
9) The abomination of desolation set up.
10) Hatred of the nations toward Israel.
11) Uncontrollable anarchy.
12) Signs in the heavens and natural disasters.
13) Tribulation.
14) People's indifference to the signs of the times.
According to Koran Sura 21:96, 37:82, 43:61, and other passages,
Muslems believe these things about the last days:
1) Muslem attacking Muslem.
2) World violence increases.
3) Days will become shorter as time contracts.
4) Religious awareness decreases.
5) Atheism becomes widespread.
6) Muslems infiltrate all nations of the world and gain prominence.
7) People become very materialistic.
8) There will be more women than men.
9) The Muslems defeat all Jews in a Holy War.
10) At first, Muslems and Christians fight together against
unbelievers.
11) Muslems later defeat all Christians in a Holy War.
12) Gog and Magog win a great war.
13) The world will be destroyed and only Muslems will be saved.
14) Muslem Holy War martyrs are given a special place in Heaven.
15) The earth will be destroyed, recreated, and last another 50,000
years.

Subject: Re: ABH Monotheistic End Times Comparison
None of what you described is mentioned in the Quran.
Quran describes the end of the earth as:
(1. the moon will be split (Q 54:1)
(2. oceans will roil over
(3. wild animals will seek shelter in houses
(4. the mountains will be turned to dust
(5. the pregnant female will abort
(6. the sky will turn red
(7. there will be earthquakes
So, the events that happen on earth seem to be a
result of the moon being destroyed.
Quran 21:95-96 says:
"There is a ban upon any community that We have
destroyed that they shall not return until when Gog
and Magog are let loose and they hasten out of every
from every hill."
The Gog and Magog are the Scythians of earlier times
and the Mongols (with whom they intermarried) of
recent times. The Mongol invasion of the Middle East
that was led by Hulaco took place in the 13th Century.
It is from this point that the return of destroyed
communities should be researched. The destroyed
communities mentioned in the Quran are the community
of Noah which many Muslim scholars believe to have
been located in Yemen, the community of Ad (the
ancient Qahtani Arabs), the community of Thamud (the
"Nebatians"), the community of pharoah, the community
of the Semitic Jews in Judah/Palestine and in Arabia
and the community of Median.
Quran 37:82 is about the drowning of Noah's community.
Quran does not promote a world wide flood. Only Noah's
community was drowned.
Quran 43:61 says: "And lo verily there is knowledge of
the hour. So doubt ye not concerning it."
Some of the stuff you quoted is from hadith and some
of it is manufactured propoganda. Numbers 9, 10 and ll
are jumbled. It has been concluded by some scholars
that one of the signs of the last days will be that
Christians and Jews will team to fight the Muslims.
The Christians will realize that the Jews were using
Christians for their own ends so the Christians will
join the Muslims to fight the Jews. Again, this is NOT
Quran but a conclusion of some scholars from Hadiths
which address the subject.
Number 15 is really fantastic. The Quran says that a
new ardh (which can mean both land and earth) will be
created but does not indicate the length of time that
it will endure.
Hope this Helps

3. Steve Mathe: Unite Our Hearts
Steve Mathe has a whole web-site dedicated to the importance of prayer
with the re-union of Judah and Joseph from a Brit-Am perspective
being a major theme.
I found the articles that I read to be full of insights, meaning, and inspiration.
The articles are well-written but longish and deep in their implications.
This approach may not necessarily be suited for all of us
but it is important. Some of us should find it of great benefit and it is worth
checking out.
I tried to access individual articles of Steve and could not do so
but I could access his main URL and from there reach the different
essays all of which are important both from a Brit-Am perspective and in their own right.

Yair shalom,
...just a note to tell you that I am participating in the prayer project initiated by Steve Mathe.
Here's a quote Israelis would do well to remember: " In war there is no substitute for victory." Gen.Douglas ,MacArthur (1880-1964)
God bless you and all the Brit-Am family, Diane
4. Some English Words from Shmuel James
Skip from the Hebrew KoPHets which words when transliterated into Hebrew use the same letters
though in a different order.
Abash (cf. Bashful) means shame from the Hebrew "Baish" also meaning shame.
The Dictionaries however will tell you that the English words come from the French "abaissment"
meaning "bring low". Which of these two alternative suggested origins appears the most logical?
Deem from the Hebrew "Dune" meaning judgement, consider. In Hebrew dialects "m" and "n" often
get switched around.
5. BRIT AM EPHRAIMITE TOUR
The daily itinerary for the upcoming tour to be hosted by Shalom Pollack has now been posted on the Brit Am website at

6. Acceptance of Jewish Refugees During the Holocaust Years
For the record
During the twelve
years of Nazi terror, from 1933 to 1945, the United Kingdom opened its
doors to 70,000, and allowed another 125,000 into British-administered
Palestine. Other states, with long histories of immigration, did even
less. Argentina took 50,000, Brazil 27,000, and Australia 15,000.
Some Latin American states, where life-granting visas were bought and
sold like any other commodity, admitted but the trickle of Jews who
could pay for their salvation.
The two North American democracies, the United States
took 200,000 Jews, including the select
of European intellectual, cultural and scientific life.
As for Canada:
between 1933 and 1945 Canada found room within her borders for fewer
than 5,000 Jews after the war until the founding of Israel in 1948,
she admitted but 8,000 more.
[Canada however did later try to help the State of Israel by absorbing a large number of
Palestinian "refugees"].
The Republic of Ireland in WW11 took in about about 7 Jewish dentists of which there was a shortage
and that is all as far as we know.
During the War Spain took in 6000 Jewish refugees but considered at one stage turning them over to Germany. A a threat from Churchill to invade Spain made them decide otherwise.
France before the war was relatively generous.
Relative to its population Britain was the best and the USA in second place..
It may not have been enough but it was better than anybody else.
7. Encouragement for Brit-Am From Norway
Please, to all of Brit-am, be in good spirit also in the months and years ahead, do not let people bring you down no matter what the cause. Brit- am`s and related work is the greatest hope for our countries and the whole Israelite nation now and in the foreseeable future.
Best regards, Kjetil from Norway
