(a) Tribal Associations of Above Names for Ohio

Ai = Benjamin, Ephraim

Bethel = Benjamin, Ephraim

Canaan = all Israel, especially Manasseh

Carmel = Manasseh

Gath = Ephraim. There were several places by that name. Biblically Gath is
usually associated with a Philistine city in the south that should have
belonged to Judah BUT the Daat MikraCommentary says that there was ANOTHER
Gath in the north in what later became the territory of Ephraim. The Tribe
of Ephraim attempted to gain control of this area before the Children of
Israel came out of Egypt but were only partially successful:

[1-Chronicles 7:21- AND ZABAD HIS SON, AND SHUTHELAH HIS SON, AND EZER, AND
ELEAD, WHOM THE MEN OF GATH THAT WERE BORN IN THAT LAND SLEW, BECAUSE THEY
CAME DOWN TO TAKE AWAY THEIR CATTLE.

  [1-Chronicles 7:22] AND EPHRAIM THEIR FATHER MOURNED MANY DAYS, AND HIS
BRETHREN CAME TO COMFORT HIM.

These events and the circumstances leading up to them are discussed in our
work, Lost Israelite Identity.

Gilboa = Manasseh

Goshen = all Israel, Joseph.

Hebron = Judah

Lebanon = Asher, Ephraim

Mt. Carmel = Manasseh

Mt. Carmel = Manasseh

Rehoboth = Manasseh

Salem = Jerusalem, all Israel

Sharon = Ephraim, Manasseh

Shiloh = Ephraim

Shiloh = Ephraim

Sodom = Sodom was by the Dead Sea in the territory of Judah but Sodomis
also used as a symbol for the Ten Tribes., cf. Ezekiel 16:46
