Update on 'Biblical
Names':
Shalom,
Our series "Biblical Names in the USA" was based on
a list comprised by Moshe Davis and his wife, in which ONLY names whose
Biblical inspiration had been officially confirmed (by local authorities,
etc) was included. The value of this list may be that we can say that
it reflects a conscious affirmation of what may be subconscious tribal
identification. On the other hand very many Biblical names in the
USA were not included in the list since the names may have been given for
other reasons, e.g. one town named "Jacob" may have been so named because
"Jacob Smith" was a founding member and such a town would not be in the
list. Another town may be named "Jacob" in honor of the Biblical patriarch
and it would be in the list.
Such a system
ignores the aspect of Divine Providence that would say that no matter what
the reason, the fact that such and such a name was given may have
a reason beyond that known, even to the people who bestowed the name in
the first place. From now on we will take account of the two aspects together
and may eventually go back over the lists we have already given out and
revise them while keeping the two aspects separate, i.e. we will continue
to publish and analyze names taken from the list of Moshe Davis and
we will put out additional entries listing all other Biblical names known
to us and also analyze their tribal applications. Preliminary indications
already show that the two lists appear to correspond with each other regarding
tribal identifications.

We believe the USA is dominated by Manasseh
and represents Manasseh. The USA is also populated by many from Ephraim,
as well as from other tribes. The USA, in many respects,
is the primary embodiment today, firstly, of the Tribes of Joseph, and
secondly, of all of the Lost Ten Tribes. In addition, the USA is the country
in which most of our subscribers dwell, it is the one for which we have
the most information, and the place that has proven the most amenable to
our message.
In my opinion the Biblical names, and
how they are distributed across the USA, confirm our beliefs and Brit-Am
researches. Not everybody will agree with me but we have other evidence.
The beauty of our studies is that we have something for everybody and
proof from every point of view. This is how it should be.
Please feel free to participate
in this research and send in any observations you have. We are going
through the names State by State. I have many other ongoing projects
at the present, so we will progress bit by bit. The full picture,
and significant patterns, will only be available once we have examined
all the names and mapped them out. In the meantime we can make intermediate
estimations with the willingness to adapt and change them later and being
aware that this will almost certainly be necessary.
The Bible teaches us to
believe in Divine Providence and that names are significant.

Biblical Place-Names: p.246:
"Almost a thousand names of biblical derivation
appear on the map of
the United States. Not all of
them, however, stem from biblical sources.
Lottie K. Davis compiled a master
list. The following list of 373 biblical
names and their county locations
is the first result of this research."

Note: Places connected to Jerusalem should not
necessarily be counted to 'Judah' since Jerusalem was the primary capital
and religious center and belonged to ALL the tribes of Israel.
