2. Wayne Laurence: Elvis was a

#6. Was Elvis Jewish?
Elvis held to some form of Protestantism and never to Judaism - on the other
hand, Sammy Davis Jnr was Jewish.
Brit-Am Reply:
The correspondence
concerning Elvis until now has concerned his ancestry
not his religion.
Sammy Davis Jnr converted to Reform Judaism.
To what degree he was observant if at all is not known.

#6. Was Elvis Jewish?
I'm related to Elvis through Abner Tackett. Abners father is Lancaster Tackett
and he was my 6 great uncle I think? Lancaster's father was Phillip Moses
Tackett/Tackitt and Phillip is my 7th GG father. I guess me and Elvis are far
distant cousins. Also, the Tackett family name came from France or at lest my
line of Tackett's did. They were French Huguenots as I've been told.
Thought I'd share that
