Psalms 119-20
 RESH
This section is named after the letter "Resh". This is the equivalent of the English letter "R".  It has the numerical value of 200. The term "resh" can connote the Hebrew "Rosh" meaning "head" or "beginning" and this word "Rosh" begins the last verse in this eight-verse section. In verse 119:60 where it is translated as  "THY WORD IS TRUE FROM THE BEGINNING", the Hebrew renders it
"FROM THE BEGINNING THY WORD IS TRUE" with the expression, "FROM THE BEGINNING" being the Hebrew word "ROSH".
"R"-Raish is also the first letter of the word-root "RAH" connoting "see" and words built on this root are found at the beginning of  three of this 8-versed section. The laws and judgements are the major theme of this section as it is of this entire 176-verse long Psalm. The sub-theme of this section appears to be a request to the Almighty to pay attention and take consideration of  us.  The Almighty is requested to take notice, "CONSIDER", "PLEAD", again "CONSIDER".  Arrayed against our requests for the Almighty to take notice are the assertions that we too are paying attention, I BEHELD, etc.

[Psalms 119:153] CONSIDER MINE AFFLICTION, AND DELIVER ME: FOR I DO NOT FORGET THY LAW.
God is asked to take note of our problems and troubles since we do not forget HIS will.

[Psalms 119:154] PLEAD MY CAUSE, AND DELIVER ME: QUICKEN ME ACCORDING TO THY WORD.
Once again God is requested to take consideration of our situation and give us life and vitality because HE has promised them to us.

[Psalms 119:155] SALVATION IS FAR FROM THE WICKED: FOR THEY SEEK NOT THY STATUTES.
We should be saved because we seek to know the will of God and to carry it out. On the other hand the wicked take the exact opposite path.

[Psalms 119:156] GREAT ARE THY TENDER MERCIES, O LORD: QUICKEN ME ACCORDING TO THY  JUDGMENTS.
Be merciful to me God for this is the Law of Nature YOU have established: Be good and good will be done unto you.

[Psalms 119:157] MANY ARE MY PERSECUTORS AND MINE ENEMIES; YET DO I NOT DECLINE FROM  THY TESTIMONIES.
Despite the very many who oppose me and all the reasons I could find to use as excuses not to do YOUR will I still keep going according to how I understand YOU want me to.

[Psalms 119:158] I BEHELD THE TRANSGRESSORS, AND WAS GRIEVED; BECAUSE THEY KEPT NOT THY  WORD.
They who go against the word of God pay a price. They bring bad results to themselves and also to others. This is saddening.

[Psalms 119:159] CONSIDER HOW I LOVE THY PRECEPTS: QUICKEN ME, O LORD, ACCORDING  TO THY LOVINGKINDNESS.
I delight to do the will of God since this is for the good of everyone. Help me God with life and liveliness so that I may function in YOUR cause all the better.

[Psalms 119:160] THY WORD IS TRUE FROM THE BEGINNING: AND EVERY ONE OF THY RIGHTEOUS  JUDGMENTS ENDURETH FOR EVER.
