1. Question: Is King David the "Messiah"?

Answer: Opinions are divided on this question.

There is one minority Rabbinical opinion that the intention really is to a resurrected David.
Another opinion says that there will be a Messiah son of David as the main ruler and a resurrected David ruling beneath him.
In my opinion the intention is to a Messiah physically descended from David and embodying the substance of David, maybe even a kind of reincarnation of David.
At all events a Messiah descended from David will arise at some time.
